Welp many hours later and I still can't beat the final boss of Drakengard 3, a 10 minute long rhythm section in black and white, with a constantly moving camera and awkward timing and if you miss a beat you die all to start at the beginning again.
Wait, that was 3? I thought that was the end of 2, or maybe 1, I don't recall. Am I misremembering, or did they just re-use that gimmick?
Finished Qbeh-1. Kinda disappointed it's over, but I also learned there are plans for user created levels through the Steam Workshop. Can't wait for that.

Was doing decently in a terror mission in X-COM until the aliens actually started using their grenades, which had never happened to me before. I had 3 of my best people in a cluster about to attack this one alien and he kills all of them in one turn with a stupid grenade.
So I finished Deponia 3. I'm not sure how to feel. For one, I really, really didn't like the ending. Other than a million plot holes, it just was not what I wanted as a conclusion. In fact, I much prefer the ending to Deponia 1, which is ESSENTIALLY THE EXACT SAME ENDING when you think about it. But more clever and satisfying as a conclusion. The puzzles are also the weakest of all 3 games overall, with a lot of obscure stuff that's basically trial-and-error. Although I think the first half of Deponia 3 is one of the strongest sections of any of the 3 games, it just really goes downhill after that. Part of it might be that the uniqueness and humor of the setting (the planet of Deponia) sort of grew stale eventually. And it doesn't even have a good running gag to hold it together like the obsession with platypuses in the second game.

A little tip if you have too much trouble with the true arena, use the Stone ability. It take more time to finish it, but with good timing, you can even manage a no-damage run.

I'm currently playing Mario Strikers Charged Football and fuck the Mega Shots. Most of the time I lose in the semi finals or the finals because of these shots. It's really frustrating to lose because of this crap and to restart an entire tournament. Ugh.
Playing One Piece: Unlimited World Red and Xenoblade Chronicles, with a bit of Kid Icarus Uprising here and there. Also, I just found Wario Land: Shake It and a two-pack featuring Skyrim and Bioshock Infinite, so I'll be playing those in the near future.

Yay. After using archer, losing archer on literally the last hit of the first phase of the last boss and getting plasma in the middle of the last fight, I finally beat True Arena. Debating wheter to 100% this, get Link Between Worlds, start up Steamworld Dig or finishing Valdis Story

Two third person shooters and one first person shooter, your not giving us a whole lot to work with:ninja:. Joking aside though, your best bet would probably be the Uncharted trilogy unless you got friends to kill time with in Resident Evil 6 or Borderlands. Those can be enjoyed alone but I typically see people insist that co-op is better when it comes to those games.
In other news I got tired of Ultimate Ghost n Goblins shit on Standard difficulty so I had to go back to Novice which is more or less still cheap as hell but hey at least I've gotten past Storm Fortress.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

Been playing Far Cry 2. Always a fun sandbox FPS if you just want to run around and shoot stuff. Which sometimes is all you're looking for.
I'm leaning toward sniper loadouts. Loving the dart rifle, but it has such a small ammo capacity, I usually use a different rifle and save the dart shots for when I really need them. Also have to balance my special weapon slot between it and the crossbow (with exploding bolts, I might add (Always gotta have a way to just blow stuff up :P)), for those times when I need some heavier firepower. Next on my shopping list is the special weapon crate, so I can at least switch between dart rifle and crossbow at my safehouses.
My other issue is deciding on my backup firefight weapon. Using a sniper rifle other than the dart takes up my primary weapon slot, meaning I can't use an assault rifle. I'm starting to warm up to using an SMG in my secondary slot though, since I'm finding I rarely use a pistol (though my silenced one has served me well in the few close target stealth situations I've found myself in). All in all I still prefer an assault rifle to a SMG though, so I have one in my primary weapon crate to swap with my sniper rifle, in the event I think I can get by with the dart alone.

Playing Rayman Legends on Wii U
Man, this game is so much fun. Maybe even more fun than Origins.
I tried Ultratron. My first two-stick shmup.
It was fun but I just went back to the bullet hell of Crimzon Clover instead.
I'm convinced that I'd one day defeat Arcade Mode Original without using Continues. I think being good at these sorts of games requires being relaxed and not squirmish.

I looked up a video for this game and my god. It's beautiful, but how can you even tell what you're doing?! You'd have to have nerves of steel for sure; just watching someone else play this made me hold my breath.

The game has a Novice Difficulty setting. Not only for this game, but for anyone that's looking to try a bullet hell for the first time. It's not completely easy, but you learn the how it works rather quickly.
As for the game itself, it's really well designed despite the choatic nature of the visuals. Bullets are highly contrasted so they aren't always lost in the background, the hitbox of your ship is fairly small, and the rest you just learn through replay since a single sitting is around 40 minutes long. There's also unlimited continues, so you can keep going if you die(your score just drops back down to zero if you do). Oh I forgot to mention the "Practice Mode", which allows you to try any stage and boss. Lots of options that makes it accessible and fun ;3
For anyone that want to be eased into the Bullet Hell genre, I totally recommend the Touhou serie on easy setting. Not only is the game accessible online, it is fairly easy for beginners, looks great, and a ton of fun (as well as incredible music).
Garry's Mod's Trouble in Terrorist Town mode is pretty fun, I've been dedicating a lot of hours to it.
I've been chipping away at my backlog for almost a year now, and I'm down to around 30 unbeaten games as opposed to the 50 or so I was at beforehand. Some of the joys of the backlog thus far include Dragon's Dogma & Chrono Trigger, which were both great games. Now I'm playing Tales of Xillia so I can be ready for Xillia 2 when that comes out next month, and I'm really enjoying it. Of course I always knew I would since I'm a big fan of the Tales franchise (can't wait for Hearts).

Took your advise and played Uncharted: Drake's Deception. REALLY good game, tho the platforming segments were a bit wonky to control (Swinging on vines can die in a greasefire). While the story was good and uber-cinematic (It did feel like a movie) I was a bit taken aback by the abrupt supernatural elements that showed up near the end. It was like "SUDDENLY SPANISH ZOMBIE THINGS!!" But I suppose the idea was to call back to Indiana Jones, which kinda did the same thing… so I'll give it a pass there.

Rin your list is highly similar to what mine was not long ago (I too was playing Yoshi's New Island at the same time as the Uncharted games haha).
Are the ones at the bottom of your handheld games the ones you haven't beaten yet? If so I highly recommend Kid Icarus Uprising. I think it's still one of the best games on the system. Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon is great too though.
As far as consoles go, I'd say play Kingdom Hearts 1.5, but then again I'm highly biased lol.

Tell me about it. I was using a 3rd party Xbox-shaped controller that didn't have Sixaxis, so when I got to the Descendants I was just dying left and right. I finally got fed up with it and paid 5 bucks for a charging cable for my Dual Shock 3 and finally stopped dying

I gave up on the Drakengard 3 final boss for now and moved onto Demon's souls. I played a bit of it when it first came out but never got very far but this time I'm really enjoying this playthrough. I really like the world in Demon's souls probably more than I do Dark Souls, the tower of Latria especially is a really cool and creepy location. The Maiden in black is so much better than the level up lady in Dark souls 2, no where near as wordy and much more adorable, especially when she is waiting next to the archstone after you return to the Nexus. I'd touch the demon inside her any day :ninja:

I love the graphics and gameplay, but I feel it isn't as good as the first game. It does alot of cool things tho. The multilayered levels are really cool, and I wished the game used it more often. Even in dungeons.
Sir You Are Being Hunted. I like how you can now edit the spawn patterns so I don't have to deal with those annoying dogs until later in the game. The odd thing is that even with the crapload of normal hunters late in the game, the spawn rate for them is still only 2 or 3 out of 5. I wonder what would happen if I increased everything to 5. Would probably cause pretty poor performance with all the AI and models walking around. I want to try it next.
Also played a few levels in Doom 1, with Chocolate Doom. And checked out that cycle perfect SNES (and NES and GB(A)) emulator bsnes/higan, played some Super Mario World. Anyone got any recommendations for good SNES games to play? I only really played a few games on the SNES.

God it's been too long since I went on an adventure and tried to catch 'em all.
I'm trying pretty hard to build a different squad than the one that I usually don't deviate much from, so that's been pretty entertaining in and of itself.
My friend let me borrow one of his Gameboy Advance SPs and his copy of Pokemon Ruby. This will actually be my first time playing a gen 3 pokemon game not on an emulator. First time with the original Ruby/Sapphire too (I've only played Emerald). Should be fun.
I'm also playing Magic 2015, which from what I've seen has been quite polarizing in opinion. I'm personally on the side that enjoys the game. As a Johnny at heart, deck building for me has always been an integral part of MTG, and it's inclusion in this year's game has, as far as I'm concerned, made up for any shortcomings. Hopefully next year we might see the return of some of the past game modes while retaining the customization.
I've stopped playing Far Cry 2 for now, because other games have come around, but I plan to come back to it once I'm through with Magic.

Finished Deus EX Human Revolution today.
It has its flaws but I like it. The upgrades are neat and there are different ways to beat it which I like a lot.
Don't plan to get the platinum trophy on this one though.
Was curious about Tomodachi Life after seeing some peeps playing it on tumblr, so I went to Game to see if they had it.

rented Megaman Zero collection
its a difficult game, so for now im trying the game out on Mod Card mode, then going back to normal..right now not a fan of the game..
Zero is a game with a pretty high learning curve but becomes incredibly satisfying the better you get at it, so if you have the patience, I'd recommend trucking through it and learning how to maneuver and run through enemy patterns. Might be helpful to revisit beaten stages and grind against enemies to level up weapons
I am currently playing the zero collection as well and man even the first boss is already driving me crazy.^^ This crazy bird dude.

Finished Postal 2. Apparently there's a chainsaw in the game that I never got somehow.
It's just funny how it is available uncut on steam, while every other censored game is only available in the cut version, like south park for example.
That's because there never was a cut version of Postal 2. Games are cut so they can be sold normally in stores which wouldn't be allowed otherwise, but with a game like Postal 2 … It wouldn't make any sense since you have to cut out half the game.
So they release it uncut but it has to be sold under the counter and online and the publisher isn't allowed to advertise it here.
