Ballad of Gay Tony I think brings back at least some of the crazyness of SA. I personally like IV more than SA, it's a lot more fun to go on rampages. I can kind of understand why people don't like IV very much but it's my favorite GTA game so far.
I played a few hours of the Witcher 2. I really like the combat in the game, but it's really difficult. I don't play many RPGs, even more actiony ones like this game, so it's a nice change of pace for me. The game is gorgeous too.
I couldn't take Final Fantasy VIII anymore so I'm done with that for now, so I moved on to IX. And wow, that's one heck of an improvement, why aren't more Final Fantasy games like this one? I'm at the outer continent right now.

Just beat Metal Gear Solid after downloading it from the PSN and bought the HD collection today.
The fight with MG: Rex took made me look like an idiot after I realised how simple the fight actually was. That one shameful ragequit was in no ways needed.
Just a question for any pros on the series, if I play Peacewalker before MGS4 will I be spoiled by any of the plot twists? It came with the collection but came out 3 years after the ps3 installment.

Yes, if I remember right there is one majot twist you will be spoiled.
It took me about a dozen tries but I managed to beat Letho in my first battle against him today in the Witcher 2. This is seriously probably my favorite fantasy RPG.
Just beast Aleste 2. And by God the first level is hard as BALLS.
Been replaying Half-Life again. It's a lot more atmospheric than the sequels.
Got the Sly 3 platinum, and got Liane back in Jeanne D'arc.
Pretty much done with those games.
Now onto Kingdom of Amalur and replaying some pokémon White.
Been recently replaying Super Paper Mario and playing Black 2 a bit.
I finished Psychonauts yesterday after getting past that one platforming section where the camera kept screwing up my jumps. Awesome game, I'd definitely recommend it. Now I feel like playing some more Tim Schafer games. I remember enjoying the demo for Grim Fandango and the premise of Brutal Legend, but, unfortunately, I don't own either game…
Wow. So I just finished Spec Ops: The Line and with no warning whatsoever it was a really awesome game. The gameplay is pretty same old same old but the story is fantastic. It should satisfy the people that don't like the tendency for games nowadays to glorify the US military too. I'm kind of surprised it didn't raise any controversy, but I suppose it wasn't high profile enough to.
Currently playing through Final Fantasy XII. It really is the best FF since FFVI. Currently at Raithwall's Tomb with about 18 hours put in. Planning to make jobs for my characters: Vaan as a ranger; Balthier as a samurai; Fran as a red mage; Basch uses polearms and is my main leader; Ashe is a time mage/gunner; Penelo is an all out mage with maces and shields.
This may be the summer I play all the Ivalice games in chronological order.
I've played Mount and Musket, a mod for Mount and Blade Warband, before, but I had never played the base game. I'm not sure if I like it more but it's awesome too. M&M is more fun when playing in line battles anyway. Sieging castles with 40 other people on your team, funneling into a line for archers to take out, is surprisingly fun. I need to get a new DLC to play Mount and Musket some more though.

I completed my second playthrough of Metal Geard Solid 3D. I got the Crocodile title this time since now that I had the Patriot I tended to go Rambo on the guards if they spotted me.
Since I have more time now I sank my teeth back into Pokemon Conquest and now I'm at the last kingdom, ready to face Nobunaga. I need to get some better Pokemon though, since most of the ones I've been using are ineffective against Dragons.
I just beat Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and now I'm playing through its Riku story mode. The fourth Riku boss fight was still the hardest one in the story (it's where I got stuck last time), but since I took the time to clear out every room that I entered, didn't bother getting sleights through levelling up (so I could focus on HP and Card Points), and unlocked the various Keyblade-throwing combos (which are easy to use and incredibly effective), the game was a lot easier this time around.
More Mount and Blade: Warband. It's pretty funny to see ragdolls falling down the siege ladders after getting sliced to pieces.

Haah, finally completed the last of the three ''Not Worth Fighting Over'' missions in Pokemon Conquest. I hope to never, ever, ever have to fight Mitsunari and his Scior again.
Hitman 2 and Spec Ops. The level(s) I'm on right now in Hitman is a pain in the ass. I like the disjointed missions where the point is assassination better than walking through a valley for twenty minutes.

Scizor is my star player.
as long as i can rack up at least two sword dances, he can sweep almost the entire enemy team with bullet punch and bug bite.
(except for those god damned fire types…curse that x4 weakness.)
He also has a life orb (boosting his moves at the cost of hp), so if things drag out he goes down quick.
Oh well, he's still worth it when i can get him powered up.
So I picked up Red Steel 2 the other day, does anyone else's stomach begin to churn while playing it?

I love the setting and all, but some things just bug me…
Mortal Kombat 9, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, and Growslanser: Heritage of War.
Just finished F.E.A.R. and it's one of my favorite FPS' ever. It's pretty much perfect.
Also, at one part there was a door with boards over it so there wasn't even a small space to move through. I started getting rid of the boards but started getting shot at from the side. I turned and started shooting and out of the corner of my eye I see another enemy on the other side of the doorway with the boards. He drops to the floor and rolls under the wood through the small opening I made a few seconds earlier and starts shooting at me. I couldn't believe it :blink: . F.E.A.R. has the best enemy AI out of any first person shooter.

F.E.A.R. on hardest difficulty is way past cool! Most supremo real time puzzle game in years!
Every room you can walk into is painstakingly crafted so you should, in a matter of seconds, be able to deduce and come up with a plan on tackling every obstacle and come out perfectly should your mode of action have been the correct solution.
Started playing the God of War Origins set awhile ago. On Chains of Olympus right now. Still have a ways to go.

Dragon's Dogma.
I am rather liking it so far… I hate using strategy guides but this game is hard. I'll persevere for a few more hours and if another pack of wolves plays tag with my flesh, I'm cracking open a strategy guide, and hopefully the skulls of those blasted cyclops.
Next up: Man VS Wild, possibly the most unintentionally hilarious game ever made.

Play one or the other. They are both different games for me, dispute the obvious similarities. If you are looking for a challenge, then do so.
One note about Dark Souls. It probably has one of the most deepest character building systems I ever seen. There's no wrong or right way to build a character. You'd find yourself a tad bit overwhelmed at first, especially when you are playing and trying to find your own style of play.
