Yes, I finally managed to beat Jimenez. Farmed up a bunch of Dekaja Stones and debuffed him whenever he hit the limit before he uses Dark Matter. Apart from that, all I did was use various elemental spells hoping to hit his ever-changing weakness and healed when necessary. Boring, tedious, but it worked.
What are you Playing?

There's something about telepathically talking to a man tortured to near death that offsets me a bit. I think I'm close to the end of Amnesia. I need to find 7 pieces of an orb to enter the Inner Sanctum where Alexander is.
Also played Metro 2033 where I can actually edit the controls  . I'm kind of disappointed that you can't lean left and right in it, though. I like being able to do that.

Assassin's Creed 2. It was really disappointing with the GTA sandbox path the game taken. But I suppose it was needed since Ezio didn't really have a clan that gave him assignments. The templars as a whole were absolutley terrible. The first game had more memorable targets and greater buildup on the overall symbolism the was expanded on late in the game. Atleast the Subject 16 thing made up for it, though I was a bit tired of hearing his angst whining XD.
Can't wait for Brotherhood. The best part of the game for me were the optional Assassin Tomb dungeons. They use elements I desperately crave for in a current generation JRPG.

teh multiplayer!!!
Honestly though, I've spent more hours on CoD playing the multiplayer then I would for 95% of most rpgs so I have no problem paying as much money for the game. It always comes down to game type preference. Also it's a shooter, I'd rather have a shooter that's multiplayer-centric instead of a game with a good 12-15 hour singleplayer with a MP that sucks. Obviously you want both, but rarely are going to get everything.
As far as the topic goes though, right now I'm playing a mix of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Modern Warfare 2.

This was my empire before I took over some of Songhai's cities. I couldn't even fit all my cities on the map.
[hide][/hide]
I nuked one of Songhai's cities and caused some fallout.
[hide]
[/hide]
And here is my favorite military unit of the game. The Super Giant Death Robot. It killed every city it faced in one hit.
[hide]
[/hide]Edit: I just realized that CivV's screenshot function doesn't capture the menus. That sucks…

Being a short lackluster single-player experience yet a robust and complete multiplayer experience in one game is the only thing Halo and COD have in common (besides the obvious other two: popularity and both being FPS)
So I know where you're coming from.

I would enjoy an online game in similar vein to MGO except balanced and relatively glitch free. MGO was incredibly fun until a shit-ton of people started exploiting game mechanics*, glitching**, not to mention Konami throwing in crap that unbalanced the game***. I played hundreds of hours of MGO.
*Such as using autoaim in a game where one team is invisible with less powerful weapons.
**Shooting through walls and ceilings, killing you once but making the game glitch and you die multiple times, stabbing you from across the level, etc.
***CQC EX where if someone with a lower CQC level tries to grab you it's reversed. -
A demo of Costume Quest. It's a Halloween themed game with RPG elements. I think I would end up liking it if I bought the full game. I mean, using a box robot costume to transform into a giant mecha facing enemies that explode into candy? This game awakens the inner child in me XD I look forward to playing this over the Christmas break.

I started a new Red Dead Redemption account. This time, I decided to play John as a bad guy. So far, I'm having a great time just robbing banks and killing random people that piss me off. I'm also playing Undead Nightmare. Having a little trouble there, though. I'm just going back and forth between locations saving people and…that's it. There's no missions available. Am I doing something wrong?:ermm:

Downloaded Final Fantasy 9 the other day. Man, I totally forgot how awesome this game was and Vivi rules.
-
The torture rooms in Amnesia! The torture rooms :cwy::cwy::cwy: !!!
By far one of the best (and no contest, the scariest, creepiest) games I have ever played. It's amazing that it was only made by a group of 5 people. I await their next game with high anticipation.
The endings were kind of meh but the rest of the game more than makes up for it. Unfortunately I needed some help towards the end but…
Everyone needs to go out and play this!
moseys off to play Stalker: Clear Sky
-
Still stuck playing Cod mw2 & C&C red alert.
I can only stand playing MW2 online in hardcore mode. Its probably the only section of online gaming that resembles anything vaguely real.
As for red alert….meh.
Its ok, but I can't help but feel they've taken 1 step backwards from the games prior to this. In all honesty I'd probably prefer to play something 10 years older.
Oh well, at least I have star wars unleashed and black ops to look forward to tomorrow. Hopefully neither will disappoint.

Been playing the shit out of Fallout New Vegas and Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage.
If you like Dynasty Warriors then you should definitely pick up Ken's Rage.
In fact, what's funny is the other night I was playing split screen with my friend and he said,
"You like this game but don't care for the other Dynasty Warriors games. What gives?"
"You can't be Kenshiro in those games."
-
I like Dynasty Warriors. Some of them anyways. I'll have to heck it out.
-
Disgaea 3: First time i've played a Disgaea game, and it's pretty good. Haven't got that far yet, but it seems pretty deep, and it's fun as well.
Ratchet in Clank: A Crack in Time: Best Ratchet and Clank game ever. The humor is just superb.
Bioshock 2: Gameplay wise it's better than Bioshock, but it's still just too similar to even make a comparison. I guess the first one is kinda better, since it has more interesting characters, and it was more original. I do find Bioshock 2 to be scarier though, those Big Sisters…
-
About to play Castlevania: Harmony of Sorrow with my niece. She always makes me play Shanoa or Charlotte. Funny, since those are my best two.
-
I started Day Dreamin Davey today . I remember I saw this on somethingawfull years back . It realy is .
Also finaly got back to continuing with Castlevania Aria of Sorrow on the advance .
Speaking of which I finished Castlevania Bloodlines on the Genesis recently and I have to say compared with SC 4 , none of the bosses were realy anything to look forward to .
I was wondering if I should make a thread where I talk about what old games I decided to dig up and try playing , my thoughts first impresions , etcetera .
For example on my recent playing of Codename Viper , one impression kept comming back to me like a boomerang .
Why does this game continue to deliberately waste my time ? There are so many doors in the levels yet there is nothing in them half the time , aside from a grand total of three health items per the whole game , 3-4 hostages and one or two rooms with bullets , some of which only hold…..one bullet .
The game got repetitive realy fast . Now I know filmnstuff is kind of an amateur reviewer , but his complaint on why an army commando shipped over to South America doesn't bring grenades with him is kind of spot on .
Worst is the whole "find hostages till you find guy with bomb then let the computer auto bomb the level exit" thing became increasingly tired after level 4 . Doesn't help that the game has a single boss at the end , who goes down in literaly three or so hits .
I'm somewhat of a Bonk fan too so I recently got the arcade game . However the frameskip is kind of messy on MAME for my computer as it makes me not see my character in this game after getting hit . Also the stages seem to control more poorly then the console games . I don't know if it was just the frameskip but I didn't see Bonk do any bonking half the time I was pressing the attack button which realy screwed me over in the second boss fight .
Another arcade related tidbit . Anyone here play Batlantis ? It!s basicly Space Invaders but with you stoping demons from climbing up castle walls . After inserting the most credits I ever saw in a game , 255 , I got a flat out game over on level 2 after using up only a single credit .
-
Playing more Torchlight and a tiny bit of X-Men Legends 2.
-
Modnation Racers.

Been playing the shit out of Fallout New Vegas
To HELL with fallout games. Why would I want to play a game thats completion time surpasses that of my own life span?
"You like this game but don't care for the other Dynasty Warriors games. What gives?"
"You can't be Kenshiro in those games."
Lolworthy indeed.
-
Tales of the Abyss- finished bosses Arietta and Dist. now at Abandoned mine.
JUS- Sports Tier Galaxy -
Giving a try to Breath of Fire 4.
The beggining isn't that good, very confusing, hope it gets better.
And there's Dynasty Warriors Online open beta. Guess I'll play it if I have nothing else to do. -
Breath of Fire IV is an enjoyable game if you can get into it. It has a unique aesthetic compared to the other BoF games and at its best is pretty engrossing, although it's not anywhere near as good as III, or II.
-
I found BO4 incredibly boring honestly. It's even worst to replay due to a few horrible main story segments that involved fetch questing. It does not get really good until the near end.
-
Speed… Square.... Speed.... Square....
Oh god, there's a ghost. Damn cursor, you move too slow! I missed it!
No wait, shoot the cactus. THE FUCKING CACTUS.
Don't miss the airplane! No! FUCKING YELLOW SUBMARINE, STOP MOVING
OMG OMG OMG Boat Wheel. Fuck! Six points?
Stars are easy.
FUCKING ICE ROOM. FUCK YOU HARDCORE.

DAMNED LAVA ROOM, I CAN'T HIT ANYTHING.
MORE UFOs! FFFFFFFFF-

Wait, where'm I going? Get back here you DAMN UFO!!! I;M NOT DONE WITH YOU!
submerges PSP in a basin of water

Really? I loved BoFIV. It had a different aesthetic but it was fucking GORGEOUS and felt altogether much more polished and mature than BoFIII did, though I loved that too.
-
im a fan of BoFIV…the only problem was i never got past the bread scene in the game. ( something about getting ingredients for someone so you could go through a trapdoor in a town)
-
Played some Batman Arkham Asylum and Civ V .
-
Played the demo of a game called Aquaphobia. The concept of the game seems really good and the water dynamics are the best I have ever seen. The voice acting however is bad, and the camera/controls are a bit wonky. Not bad for an arcade game though.
-
Out of jealousy from not owning a Wii, I'm playing through the three DK Country games on a Super Nintendo emulator. Oddly, I never owned any of the three originals, but I rented them multiple times and had two of the Game Boy spinoffs.
-
Started Splatterhouse 2 on the genesis .
Also found out that a Doraemon maze game for the PC Engine got a sprite swap and was released in the US as "Crater Maze" .
Kinda strange .
-
Playing Viewtiful Joe on the PS2. It's alot easier once you get a handle on the controls. The helicopter in the 1st level killed me a lot, but I can kill those kinds of things with no problem now.
-
Last game I played was more of Persona 3. Tartarus-wise, I'm on floor 211 and story-wise, I'm on the Kyoto school trip.
-
Completed Jupiter Lighthouse in the second Golden Sun, with its fun boss fight and nekkid angel statues. I had forgotten how much of a pain it is to level grind in this game since the encounter rate isn't the highest and apart from the Fire Bird/Phoenix/Wonder Bird line the exp drop from monsters quickly become drops in the bucket..
-
here's a post i never thought i'd contribute to.
i do too many things at one time to play flashy games. this one, lmfao. level 10 quest = manga-rific. anyway, now i have to do that thing that involves an office. tfg for flexible work hours. but i work super late sometimes, ok! i'm not entirely slacking off… xD
-
Currently playing Super Mario Galaxy 2. Great game, though I ended up doing so much of it then dropping it for a few weeks before finally coming back to it, which is quite strange for a Mario game.
-
Ai Chou Aniki .
Yes THAT Ai Chou Aniki . The "Big Brother of Love" Ai Chou Aniki , the game otherwise known as "the bodybuilding game" and "That gay game from Japan" .
This one
First time playing it ended on the third section of the first level - it was only after replaying that I realised this was timed .
For more info see

My friend just bought RE5 for his PS3 and I started it yesterday.
Absolutely hate it so far. Way too much rambo-style action and big open spaces for an RE game, and this is coming from someone who loves RE4 to death (which only got bloated-action-movie disease near the very end, imo).
In this one, I never know if I'm using too much ammo or getting hurt too often because the game seems throw plenty of items at you, but then all of a sudden you're fighting a chainsaw majini that requires you to unload your entire arsenal of grenades and shotgun shells. I miss the clean elegance of plugging one guy in the head with a handgun shot, kicking the whole mob to the ground, and knifing them all to death without getting hurt once. This game just feels… sloppy.
-
I'm also playing Gynoug by the same deisgner as Cho Aniki/Ai Cho Aniki .
It's a prety fun shooter and honestly , it's the most fun shooter I've played yet .
Mostly because it either has a bad hit detection that is biased in the favour of the player…..or it's better in that you have to actualy get your sprite hit to get shot . And not the general area you ocupy .
There were just so many times I thought I'd die....but I didn't .

PS3: Fallout: New Vegas
DS: Doctor Who: Evacuation Earth (It's frikken Layton only DW!)
Wii: N/A (waiting for the awesome to come out!) -
Bought Uncharted 2 today to tide me over until my new power supply gets here. Looks like it's only going to last me the weekend, though, I played it for 5 hours today.
-
This month I'm revisiting the worst Star Ocean game(or worst game) ever created. SO4. Wish me luck on getting those Achievements. As a loyal tri-Ace fan, I just feel as if it's my duty to rape every nook and cranny in this terrible game. That way I have all the right to complain about about it.
After that, I should have some funds to buy some other games I missed out on. RE, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Allan Wake, ect.
-
remembering some combos in Marvel vs Capcom 2
and crating some new teams (I participate in tournaments) -
def jam fight for NY (PS2)

Well, since my last post in this thread (9/26/10), I am still stuck in the exact same place I was before. Fighting this boss monster in Fullmetal Alchemist 2: Curse of the Crimson Elixir.
fHoh2WoqmZk
I would like to play some of my other video games, but I have this weird rule that before I start a new video game, I must beat/finish/complete the video game that I'm currently playing. So….yeah. And this guy is a bitch to fight.
Anybody play this game on the PS2 before?
-
Tales of the Abyss (PS2) and FF: the 4 heroes of light (DS)

As hard as I tried I wasn't able to beat Uncharted 2 in 2 days. And I hate blue yeti people.
