I used to maintain a little Angelfire account, the ads and lack of space…suck. I was thinking of looking for a larger website that is easy to use, preferably compatable with an FTP client, can host video and sound clips, and doesn't have annoying ads. I may even go with a paid site if it's cheap enough. I never seem to be able to pick these things very well, though. Does anyone have any good suggestions that can be vouched for personally?

what amount of space do you need? 100M? 1G? 10G?
i think it's important, as a free 100M without ads using ftp is easy to find.
i'm using free, it's a french company so it'll bother you, but i'm sure you can find the same thing elsewhere. they provide you for free a 100M ftp server with good dl speeds and they give you a website at the url "your_nickname.free.fr", which is actually forwarded to a page called index.html that you host on your ftp.
