Just thought of this, and i am sure that somewhere someone has already come up with this, but it seems logical for Franky's father to be Spaindain. I mean Franky was abandoned as a kid and being that the Spand-whatever family tends to be pretty much retards, they might have tossed poor little cutty off the side of the ship. i mean the resembelance between spandain and franky is uncanny. but, who knows. it seems like in the end the issue would be of little importance. I just thought i would bring the issue up for discussion.

Yeah, I think we went over this in 393.
They do look a lot alike, but I think it may just be Oda's style. I'm sure Cutty Flam was his real name, unless Oda watched Joe Dirt before hitting the drawing board. And then for some reason Spandam forgot he had a brother or something.

If we want to discuss some family stuff then here´s some food for thought. How about the negative image that Nico Robin has all over the world being all a result of Spandains intrigues? (sp?)
Just think about Tom-san. He got accused of a crime he never did, but Spandam even got him so far to comit it. If Spandam really is Spandains son then such a behaviour could really be in their family and Spandain framed Nico Robin with the title of a demon just because it was more convenient for him.

Spandam and Spandain no longer have the similar names playing for those who theorize they're father and son. They have similar personalities, they speak exactly the same in Japanese, and a line in the most recent chapter almost 100% confirms their relationship.
