apparently i have been an idiot this whole entire time and never knew that christmas wreaths are called christmas wreaths. my entire life i've always called it "that green circular thingie with ribbons and shit that everyone has on their door when december starts," until my gf pointed out to me today that it's called wreaths and made me expose my stupidity (or rather, ignorance) to the entire world.

anyway, we made these today:

actually, she was the one making it. most of the time i got yelled at for having no aesthetic sense and my idea to make a smiley face with elf ears out of it got plainly rejected. :glare:

i think the red one looks awesome, and i wanted to put it up on my wall until june, but she said no. i tried arguing but she wouldn't even budge a little, so i gave up. she owns me. -__-;

anyway, december is here and christmas is fast approaching. why don't you guys post whatever you've made for christmas decorations.

now i need to buy a christmas tree…

I'm pretty sure i'm the only one who decorated their dorm for christmas, wich is the same as last year. It's not much, just a little fiber-optic tree and some christmas lights in the window, but i like it.

I used to have this Christmas tree drawing on my wall at the enterance when I was little. My house in Japan is pretty small, so that's what parents did instead.

After I move to the States, I didn't do anything in particular... cause I always went back to Japan or visit my relatives. Maybe I should do something this year.

I've yet to get out any of the decorations out. Usually get out the lights and the fake tree. It's a real bitch to put the tree together, though.

I only like real trees, so the upside-down tree is out of the question. I just would miss the smell of pine, and the ever-frustrating situation of trying to convince my dad that it's time to take the tree down because it's almost February and it's now a major fire hazard, only to have it sit out in the backyard for the rest of the year because he missed the garbage collectors' tree pick-up dates..
