Double bladed axe, that. The negative is you don't see the movie at the same time we do; the positive is that you get to hear about if it sucks or not. The Brother's Grimm was slated to be a good show, and had major hype with a great deal of speculation, but it turned out to be a sucky show.
Perhaps The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe will be sucky too. Most likely not, but the possibility exists, saving you a couple hundred yen.

Also, I'm looking forward to this movie, but I wish it was marketed as a fantasy film and not a Christian movie. The media is being stupid at the moment.

I simply meant it sucks that we have to wait so long for movies to be released in our respected areas, which is usually ages after America gets it first. This is a movie topic after all. :mellow:

It's not easy for me to download here, as I don't have internet in the house and have to use the school wireless. Which is a pain in the ass cause you have to sign in ever time you open your browser. And I don't know if bitorrent works yet.
Besides, Narnia the type of movie that you really wanna see the first time on a big screen.
And yeah, there are definitely sucky aspects to living outside of America. One being late movies/books/games/etc., the other being distinct lack of easy internet.
I forget how it goes or who said it, but there's a quote that you travel in order to learn to appreciate the place you left. And I definitely feel more affectionate for America since I left.
I couldn't have been more happy with the movie last night. We had arrived quite early and there was already a massive crowd. I thought "CRAP! We'll never get in!". My company and I waited anyway for about an hour and a half. We were very next in line my two friends and I when they said to the couple ahead of us "You guys are very lucky, you've got the last seats in the house". Then he turns to us ands says "Alright guys are you ready to start filling up the second one?" So it turns out we had the very best seats in the place. I guess that is what waiting patiently will get you. :)
The movie itself was pretty much everything I wanted it to be. Quite a step up from the BBC version of my youth. The movie desperately needs an intermission. 140 minutes is a bladder killer.

Mainly because films got too short to really need them.
A local theater occasionally has them if the films exceed two and a half hours though. They did it for Return of the King.
So Narnia is two hours and twenty minutes long? Meh, that's not so much.

He did. C.S. Lewis was very much so a Christian and (I believe) was inspired by Tolkien (who was also a strong Christian) and integrated these themes into many of his works.
I can't recall the name, but there was a trilogy of books Lewis wrote that also had strong Christian themes, but it was a bit more sci-fi-ish. It dealt with a guy named Ransom who wound up on Mars in the first book, but there was actually life on it, and he lived among them, etc.. I've only read the first two, but they're quite good (though I wouldn't suggest it to anyone with a low-intellectual level; you'll need every bit of it to understand and stay interested with this).
