I used to record a favourite series, in 640x480 MPEG-2, and it was well over 1Gb per ep.

I'm a collector ^^ I have over 1.22 terrabytes of anime.. haven't even watched most of it. Downloaded 25 more gigs this weekend. Like I said, I collect =). I'll know the exact amount when I'm done putting it all from CDs/DVDs on my external hard drives. (the Icy Boxes!)
So as we speak I'm putting it from here to here on my PC and laptop. Quite a chore with 500 discs that need to be processed argh…
When I'm done, the plan is to sell the maps on ebay and buy more external hard-drives to host my ~1.5 terra of movies&series… Yeah I'm keeping busy =)

Why didn´t you download the mp4 version of episode 164? Is that all you have? No manga? No openings and endings? <_<

Those are ofcourse all present in the episodes, silly…
They are only partwise present in the episodes. The full versions are often much better then the chopped stuff from the anime.
BTW, how about other sounds from the anime? Those are a must have IMO! Points at the music request thread

Trust me I know where they are.. I used to download em as they came out and then keep refreshing the page endlessly when the trans was coming. But the last two months I simply didn't do this anymore.. kinda other things on my mind or something.. so now on occasion I just download the null scanslations and read em. Have read up to 288 now.

My total hard drive space is 16 GB, and with all the needed things it leaves me with like 5 GB I can use for my own personal reasons, like anime.

what are the size of your external harddrives then? I assume that you are using them because that's a whole lotta memory on one computer :laugh:

I have almost the exact same ammount as youbut inclusive of all the OSTs and music tracks I could get my hands on :D Manga is only about 1.2gb anime is that 48gb so far and about 1.4gb in OST ^_^ Go anime storage!

i am so jealous.. my harddrive needs an upgrade or just another one (only 37gig) but then again i only have like 5 games and photoshop, 3dstudios and various other small programs to use lol. anyhoo must have a nice connection 25gig on the weekend.

I wanted to show a nice shot from my music videos in there - for 'added effect' - but due to hardware acceleration it only shows a black screen.. no clue how to turn hardware acceleration off in winamp so too bad :(

so yeah, I currently got: 60 gig HDD, 200 gig external HDD, 4*300 gig external HDD.. but they steal 7% in marketing so as you can see 300 gig is actually 279 etc…

and then I have another one of these 300 gig Icy Boxes lying around, not mine but a friend's, that I can use as back-up or whatever. And ofcourse there's my tower PC with 40 gig and yet another external 40 gig HDD connected to it

two months ago all I had was my tower PC with 40 gig.. got the laptop from my parents.. and I made some money now and blew it all on the external drives rofl :P

still in the process of putting all my anime on these drives.. currently at DVD 317 out of 497 gaaaaah... (to give you an idea, drive T currently looks like this: tada!)
@kobayashi: yeah the speed is pretty good but we got download limits so this 25 gig is all the downloading I'll be doing at home for a month to come.. I put our home internet at 94% (over 100% they put you on 5kB/s smallband) and then I switched to the wireless internet of the neighbour from across the street and downloaded another 5 or 6 gig there haha. (it's an old man who doesn't do anything with his internet anyway.. plus he knows I can use his internet so np)

Currently it has this. Still some more I need to transfer from DVDs, like bible black etc. The only hentai I have are the ones that I find inbetween regular anime downloads, like from anime-legion, or currently from a distro bot on ani-kraze.
Only watched lingeries office, night shift nurses and bible black so far.
edit: oh yeah and also momiji, but skipped a lot there lol.

Holy Christ.. damn this took a lot longer than expected.. but FINALLY finished, a few seconds ago.. and since it's 5:30 in the morning and I have noone to tell so ofcourse I have to make a post about it.. ^^
So yeah, finally transferred all my anime to harddrives!
1189 gig anime+8 gig manga+37 gig cartoons=1234 gig
=~1.2 terragoes to sleep now

Actually I don't watch it.. just collect… and I have a similar amount of movies+series (but no money yet to buy the external drives to put it on atm) and I don't watch that either..
The idea is ofcourse that one day I will have the time and the ease of mind to watch it all..
(for the moment I just pass it on to friends who watch everything..)
The past two months I have watched:
green street hooligans (about 2/3 of it then quit - awesome movie btw)
two episodes of rurouni kenshin
a few of the newest one piece episodes
Mortal Kombat about 3x (while doing other things.. the whole movie is basically one amazing soundtrack)
half of the first ep of Lost
half of Fist of the North Star
and yesterday I watched half of 'bewitched' -
that's a lot of collecting

depends what you user, IRC is considered the fastest way of downloading, usually about an hour, sometimes less, sometimes more. you can download by bittorrent which for me takes about 1.5 hours for an episode, or you can try some fansubs that offer direct downloads, the times for them vary though.

The baseball special hasn´t been released by K-F so far. It came out together with movie 5 so you´ll have to wait a bit until that one gets subbed. They are placed between episodes 183 and 184.
