For some reason they decided to start subbing OP with this episode and not ep 247 or some earlier ep. Oh, well. Always good to have more groups fansubbing OP so no complaints. Just hope the quality's good. Anyways, here's their webpage - you can find direct download and torrent links there.
Episode 248 from new OP fansub group ADC-Heaven

-
Well that's…interesting. Wonder how long they'll last. XD
-
Reminds me of the group that subbed one episode ahead of KF.
Not necessarily bad, but they could help Gerusama instead.
-
Yeah, Geru is asking for recruits, wouldn't it be better if they just worked together instead of competing against each other?

Competition isn't necessarily a bad thing. It ignites the competitive spirit in some people, spurring them to makes things better and/or faster than others (not that I've any complaints about one group or another's release quality/speed). In any case we the leechers benefit so I don't see anything wrong with having more groups fansubbing a series.
-
it figures they started on 248 and not 247 -_-
I'll wait for Geru sama I think, I don't want to skip an episode.edit: but let me know if they're any good

I went and checked it out. Some name changes for the picky:
-
Mozu -> Bozu
-
Kiwi -> Kiui
-
Blueno -> Bruno
-
Tekkai -> Decoy
-
Iceberg/burg -> Ice barg

…LOL. Ok, IMHO, anyone who uses "WTF" as a subtitle isn't worth watching. XD Sorry ADC dudes, get a better vocabulary. They're just as bad as HK subs.

No wonder Franky looks so freaked out...Pirate ships are made from the mind? Wow, that's amazing.
-
Those subbers seem lazy. Tom not capitalized, a few mispellings. Not too good.
-
I was originally going to chastise this group, but since they have a fairly good quality episode, and the episode was translated quickly, I will give them a thumbs up for a decent first job.
I agree, these guys should help out Gerusama…with this speed, they could easily accomplish a great deal.

Good quality? Did you look at those screencaps? They're no better than Hong Kong bootlegs. Even BalF is way better than that, and I won't download their subs. And how do you know it was translated quickly? 248 came out, like 3 weeks ago.
-
I think he meant image quality…
And... wow. Internet slang... "WTF?" everywhere. XD
Well, I guess I'll use them instead of downloading Chinese subs (not HK, FYI.), because I can understand more than random words that mean nothing to me... "Fire" "Man" "Ice (not Burg)" "3"
-
If you want good image quality, just stick with the raws. I guess it's just the way I am, but I can't stand seeing subs that bad, they're too distracting.
-
i couldn't get the episode to play for some reason. It keeps crapping out after a few seconds every time i play it. I think i'll just stick with raws.
-
I really don't seem them as "competing", seeing as they aren't selling a product. But I agree that I would prefer them just working with Gerusama so it is easier for them to keep up with the episodes that are coming out.
But I do agree that the translations leave something to be desired. I found WTF the most disheartening because I have been told repeatedly that the "F" of that acronym does not exist in Japanese language. (Besides resorting to excessive curse words to me seems lazy, and will bring forth a dragon that will destroy us all.)

Realize that I, like many others to come in the future, have a firewall imbedded in my broadband router, such that I cannot use any downloading protocols that many lesser internet connections take for granted. I do not keep tabs on Gerusama, but from recent discussion in the RAW thread, I noticed episode 248 being brought up quite frequently, so that seemed like the logical new chapter.

These translations are annoying, I will admit that, but I guess it should hold us off until Gerusama gets here. At least the friggin' episode downloads more quickly; I started both ADC and Gerusama's downloads at the same time. Respectively, they're at 40% and 13%. :sleep:
-
I loved the WTFs XD if only there was more sexual content like the HK ones 'Will you be my sexy1111'
I liked Balf…. beats waiting for DBF-chan <3~
But yeah I didn't download ut from those subs...I'll wait for geru.... they were sloppy and a tad piss poor. No offence.
-
Dang, I cannot read this. Fudge.
-
Serioulsy, who uses abreviations in fansubs? The translation is almost close to HK subs. I think I'm sticking to Gerusama.
-
Those screencaps Cinder posted leave a lot to be desired from this group.
I don't think they are as bad as H-K (They'll probably call Franky "Hot Dog" and Iceburg "Laboon" [get it])
But anyone who uses "WTF" shouldn't be allowed to fansub. Plus, they didn't capitilize letters.
-
As long as they don't try any "LOL"s…
-
-
… >_>
I thought he meant the words... See my sig. >_>
Just spacing out the quotes, dude.
-
stares at the subs
WTF indeed o.o
-
I like the quality of the subs and video, way way better than HK subs. Thanks alot for the release guys. You'll only get better, now starts great at something.
Thanx Again.

If your only standards are "better than the Hong Kong subs," then I wager you will be impressed with almost anything better than utter crap. This release hovers over the abyss, but I guess that still makes them more worthwhile than the complete garbage of the HK subs. :glare:
-
damn right they do, as quite frankly you wouldn't be able to do any better anyway. Heck you'd do an even worse job.

If you're addressing me, I beg to differ.
「WTF」って?「万国賞金稼ぎ」(世界政府)って?翻訳者は三猿なのか?!日本語三年生としても、俺はくそより上手な翻訳ができるんだ。だから口を閉めろ。

I found it pretty awesome how ShinjiG randomly came out and seemed to address one of the maybe…5 members that not only translate Japanese, but use perfect spelling, grammar, etc. It would be the best thing ever if this person was a part of the translating group in question.

Then start your own fansub group and do your own job. Rather than complaining about a free fansub group coming along and doing your job for you. Would any of you even know how to apply subtitles? or have the software to do subtitling or encoding.
And no, I'm not apart of the said fansub group. But its tiring hearing a couple people who think that something that someone else does is unsatisfactory but won't bother to even try doing so themselves.
And no, I won't shut the fuck up. If you can do better then do so. Otherwise shut up and be happy that someone is doing this so you don't have to think for a change.
And Sanji is better than Hangis or xiangjishi
-
That last screenshot has really bad grammer in it. The others weren't too bad, while using wtf for subs isn't the best thing, as long as it gets the original intention across it's fine.
"I was the first people who were able to ride aboard the train"
This however (quote from #6) is really bad as it mixes a single subject with a plural verb and leds to confusion as to whether he was talking about himself or a group of people. Not sure if aboard should be used there or not since it seems redundant.

Uh, no one said "shut the fuck up."
But anyway, it's a case of "I can't, so I don't." I know where you're coming from, and I honestly see that they're doing a good thing, but there's no problem with being vocal.
Example: Aikido. I've seen it used beautifully by people like Steven Seagal. So even though I haven't even begun to learn it, I can spot out bad form and comment on it. My criticism may even help whoever's technique is in question. Just because I don't say anything doesn't mean it's not bad, and just because I can't do it myself doesn't mean it's satisfactory.
