I disagree with this. I wanna see a middle Eastern actress for Vivi. As for the blue hair they can do a homage to it. Like have the actress wear a blue wig while she's Miss Wednesday then when her identity is revealed have the actress use her natural hair
Of course, my point was that since blue hair fits anyone, there's no reason NOT to make her Middle Eastern (or at least very tan).

Chopper, by far. Gotta get an animal guy emoting and keep the fur looking nice. Especially with the transformations. They presummably won't be doing a 1-1 translation for him and go for a more realistic kid actor sort of thing, but...
Brookis human shape so you can have someone in full costume for 98% of it and then just do trickery on the face. You can just do a fancier version of this and get away with it.
And bones aside Brook is the shape of a man. See any of Guillermo del Toro's movies to see how a good costumer designer/make-up artist can create a humanoid being.
Like obviously, ideally, you just go "real CGI budget, do it like Rocket Racoon" and call it a day... But Rocket and Groot were only actually onscreen for about 10-15 minutes of any given movie until Guardians 3... and those were movies that had 200 million budgets for 2 hours of film.
They're gonna have to do SOMETHING practical. If that means radically changing his design or calling on the Jim Henson shop I dunno.

I'm skeptical about Brook. Like is it 1 of those all black costumes with the skeleton parts attached.
I'm a bit lenient when it comes to whatever they decide with Chopper because its not easy at all.
Just that Brook seems so simple that it can possibly become complicated if some weird Party City costume is used.
I went and watched Sonic 2 recently and the first thing that came to mind was how I could see Chopper working... not sure about the 
here though.

I don't know how much Henson charges, but it can't be higher than what high-quality CGI goes for now.
I'm sure figuring out Chopper will be the first thing they solve. Heck, they're probably looking at it right now while the strike is happening because they can't do anything else.

12 seasons seems like a lot. I'd expect like 10 at worst. The grandlines sagas are mostly stand alone that you kinda have to make season out of them and end up with 5 seasons to tell it. But once you get to the new world it feels interconnected enough that I doubt the likeliness of needing another 6 seasons to tell it too.

My english has failed again.
I wonder how long the show will realistically go. I have a hard seeing past 4 seasons before Neflix number arent strong enough to promote a new show instead of continuing it. But then I wonder if a different service or network would be allowed to take it and continue.
It's ok, I interpreted it about you not wanting the show to last so I made an ironic stab at that.

Guys considering how hard it will be to avoid the potential pitfalls of Season 2. If they make it to the level of season 1, they have outdone themselves.
The good thing they have is basically them seeing what people liked and didnt like in season 1, so they now can upgrade certain things.

Seeing that second image, which I assume is AI generated, makes me think they could absolutely pull off Brook and have him be cool. My bet would be a person with an animatronic mask that is manipulated with some CGI to make his eye sockets emote a bit.
Of course we still have to deal with Franky...I'm less concerned about his physique and more concerned about the fact that he walks around in his underwear 24/7 
Saw online a reminder Bartolomeo was actually in Loguetown when Luffy was about to be executed. Wonder if we’ll get an early cameo if Loguetown’s adapted?
@Satsuki the one issue with Henson stuff is it looks amazing with reptiles, turtles, dinosaurs, Yoda, but always looks off with mammals.
Something about the hair/fur always looks weird.
Even Dark Crystal the Skeski look fantastic but the gelflings hav serious uncanny Valley. But I guess given the task they might work it out.
They could do a combination of puppetry and CGI. Or yes, they could take this as the challenge.
Just get a real raccoon dog. None can tell the difference anyway. You save all the CGI money. And do a reverse fake straw hats have the CGI reindeer thing in sabaody arc.
Do it like sweet tooth.
An animatronic puppet Baby Yoda-like would be the right choice (cute and perfect for merchandise). When he fights obviously the use the CGI.
Baby Yoda works because he floats in a chair all day and barely moves. Chopper needs to actually move around, converse normally, and interact with the crew. And he should be doing that most of the time.

They can show off all six forms once with CG aid, and throw the budget at it once, no problem. And then never use them again.
Just like manga Chopper who never uses any of his other forms.

But I also thought yeah, they can also choose not to. A few fans will be angry but the louder, more positive noise will prevail if they get the default form right. The only one that really matters is Monster Point anyway and every other forms...exist, I guess. No reason to dump budget into that unless it's for fanservice. Cool but not a huge deal.

Brain point was something I thought he would be using constantly and trying to find weaknesses in his opponents.
It was a bit silly if you really think about it. But if he has it. It is equally silly that he doesnt use it. Considering the guy is ZoAN + has rumble balls and is a doctor you would expect him to be crazy strong.
Plus no way is his model a generic homo sapiens fruit

He showed off all his new stuff right after the timeskip.
But since then he's mostly used chibi mode and monster mode and not much else. Kung Fu a couple times.
Same way Usopp hasn't used dials in forever. Yeah in theory they're in his slingshot and thats how he makes fire, but...
In general I expected so much morevflashbacks from Strawhats from their time skip moments. We still know jack about what Robin learned how Zoro got his eye messed up and so on.... falbergassed about it really

Because Jim Henson's creature shop does that same sort of thing but better.
I suppose if they do something like Sir Didymous with modern tech that can work. He looks like an old puppet but some more animatronics in the facial features and he might be okay.
