I have no idea if it will survive, but that manga is surprisingly enjoyable despite the very simple premise.
It has a charm that's hard to define. Hopefully it only gets better and better.

VERYWELL. I, fdsfgfs, will give this manga a try.
I didn't expect this to give me Fullmetal Alchemist vibes. The story isn't on the same level, but the artstyle, setting and pseudoscience elements are very nostalgic.
I'm enjoying it so far. The story can be hit-or-miss but the vibe is cozy and the overall mystery strong. I like how the fabricant setup allows the manga to do bite-sized stories, it's been good about not dragging its feet. It's getting into more traditional shonen territory now but I'm excited to see what it'll do with it.
In terms of the world, this feels like western flavored demon slayer to me. I'm not holding high expectations because the sales are terrible, but it's been fine for now.
Saying there's 100 in total sets a limit for the series, but I think there's potential for the series to introduce a sensible twist that can keep it going beyond that. What's the implications of No. 1 showing up now other than knowing that it's supposed to be the weakest? Could be something big since it was the first one? Like supposed to be weakest but was shelved for being too dangerous?
Unfortunately the series has been hanging in the double digits forever, so introducing No. 1 might be its last hurrah to turn things around... depends on what's going on with Cipher Academy which is also in the same position.
Fabricant No.1 was special because it was theorized that he aided the Dr. in creating the next fabricants. In chapter 5 they said that finding him was a big step into knowing more about fabricants, so yeah, this could be the start of a wrap.
