I guess the story has finally moved past SFIII.
Also, I hope they've learned from the mistakes of SFV's launch.

Since were moving into 6 now, here's a vid from Thorgi (Made way before the announcement) on some ideas that I honestly wouldn't mind seeing. And yeah it's a bit beefy so watch when you got the time or in short spurts.
The one thing that especially clicked with me was the idea of Ryu settling down to make a dojo and Sakura being his successor. I actually could see that and would give her a better role then just arcade attendant SFV saddled her with. But then I remember this is Capcom, not exactly one to care for the story in SF other then just "Hey throw the fighters in there, give them a excuse plot, move the goalposts slightly, and move on". -Sigh-.

Face of the narrative presumably.
Though one hopes if that is the plan they avoid the problem of Soul Caliber 6 while also not pulling a Gyakuten Saiban 5.

So, right now, revealed characters are Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Juri Han, Luke and new characters Jamie and Kimberly, with more to come.

I never really cared about SF (even in the old times, Alpha 3 and SF vs. X-men were the only SF games that I really liked playing), but this one is looking SO good. Pretty much every single new character looks great... too bad I gave my PS4 away.
We got the leaked artwork for 22 characters in June, but according to the new trailer there will be only 18 in the initial roster.

@Shiebs I feel like the SF series really got revitalized now. I enjoyed SFV, but it's not unfair to say it felt too much like IV in character design, stages, gameplay, etc. whereas 6 is new and refreshingly different.

I don't know if it's still canon, but part of Bison's backstory was that he was trained by a master in the use of Psycho Power. Of course, he killed his master once he learned all his secrets, but the master had two other students...

We’ve seen this with Mortal Kombat, Soul Caliber, KOF, and other things.
But hey at least the face of the franchise is actually on the box art unlike Liu Kang in any of the mortal Kombat games

you mean the cover is an actual character and not one of the fighter OCs you can make in the story mode?? (not being sarcastic, i thought that's what Capcom was going for)

@MetaMario LOL, yes Mario, that goofball on the cover is Luke, who was also the last character added in Street Fighter V.

@MetaMario you can make your own character in world tournament mode, but for the official characters (non custom made) there replacing Ryu as the face of the franchise with a newish character Luke

To be pretty fair Street Fighter 3 came out a weird time so of course Alex didn’t have that support.
