One Piece is finally get an official release in India, after more than nine years of no content.

Film Red will be dubbed in

, along with the sub release, scheduled for October 7th across the country.

Before this, only the first movie has been locally dubbed by a Disney subsidiary back in 2013 for a TV broadcast. In 2021, after reaching out to them, a Disney India employee confirmed that One Piece no longer belonged to them. As for the anime itself, it was cancelled in 2007. So, a new One Piece getting a Hindi dub is pretty huge.

I hope it transitions to more One Piece content in India. It's tricky with the anime, considering the violence. CNI airs Super, although censored. There's always Netflix and Hotstar.

So a few notes about Red's dub here:
-Luffy's VA is Ketan Kava https://www.instagram.com/p/CjRog67qjrc/?hl=en (pretty sure this is the first male VA for Luffy in recent years).
-Uta's song were undubbed and it seems many attack names were given pretty poor translations, or weren't even said at all

-Odex distributed the film instead if Sony (I'm surprised they still have the rights in SE Asia)

Considering quite a few of Toei's have been dubbed into Hindi lately (Dragon Ball Super, the Digimon Adventure reboot), stands to reason OP could get some time to shine in the near future!
