Really good episode. I like that we had moment between Luffy and Beckman, it was just a sweet moment. I did a got a good laugh from Luffy and Uta being chase down by the Lord of the Coast.
Always a sucker for the OSTs that use the theme song as the leitmotif, whether it’s fast or slow, but Mother Sea always holds a special place in my heart.
Also like the OST where Beckmann saves Luffy and Luffy proclaims he’ll be stronger. What song was that? Haven’t heard it before.
It’d be cool if this tied into why Luffy doesn’t care about hearing other people’s backstories, realizing some stories are meant to be their’s. But dunno how I’d feel about filler being the explanation for it. Still, kinda neat. Felt Uta and Luffy’s bond. Think this did it’s job in hyping me up for the movie. Haven’t been excited to see a One Piece film since Film Z.
really cute episode, I liked it lots! The subversion with Koby taking over the preview was funny, but I though we would be back to Wano by now. Can't really point what else they want to bring out from Shanks and crew...
Next week’s episode is one of those recap specials they’ve been doing the past year (though seemingly with some newly animated content).
Even though I know that Otani started off voicing him first, hearing Chopper's voice coming out of kid Sanji's mouth is very cursed.
It was a cute episode. Not as interestingly put together as Yamauchi's episode last week but solid enough for these obligatory tie-in fillers. This two-parter was pretty harmless compared to the mediocrity of stuff like the Silver Mine arc or the pure unhingedness of Z's Ambition so it cleared its predecessors pretty easily.
