New Forum Bug Thread

@Cinder let me know if this thread is a bad idea, but I was thinking that along with the feature wish list thread, we have a thread for bugs or issues found?

People will argue what is a bug vs user preferences, hence why I was hoping for a pure “this is a problem” thread for people to post things they’re noticing when using the new forums. This could be separate from the wish list.

Came up because the search bar just doesn’t work for me on mobile. I can use it on a computer but it doesn’t work on mobile. Can’t even get to advance searches. Is this just me? If this is a me problem, this part can be ignored but I still think having a bug thread could be a good idea. (Update: could be a me thing. Realized words to work it just auto finds typed words, but still can’t access advanced search)

I disabled the search just now in case it's the cause of the memory exhaust, it'll need a bit more time to investigate and improve.

Hello, I've been encountering a little bug since yesterday - whenever I visit the site, I first get a blank screen telling me the site is currently unavailable. After a couple of seconds, the site then loads normally and everything works fine.

Is it really common? It's there if there's a lot of memory getting zapped for whatever reason (I see it a lot if I'm mass moving a ton of threads at the same time, or restarting the forums) but if it's consistently, happens to a lot of people, or only happens to you, these details can help me decide what I can do.

It seems to be only happening to me, I guess? But it does happen almost every time I try to open the site.
