The main cast was actually pretty good. And even though it was the heavily edited 4kids version, they still used the original japanese names.

I take everything "reported" on anmtv with a grain of salt, because they up being wrong a lot.

This is great news! The brazilian dub is actually pretty good, but the stupid 4kids censorship ruined it. If they actually redub it now, I hope they don't change the cast. Honestly, I'm more excited for the Film Gold dub since we'll finally hear Franky and Brook's voices.

I know I already said this but I'm repeating this so it sticks. The error was due to ANMTVLA and ANMTV BR reporting on what Diana Perez. (First Voice Of Latin American Luffy) saying the show was being redubbed. It wasnt ANMTVLA just making up shit and thus its more understandable that they got this wrong.

That's by far my favorite OP movie. One thing that had me scratching my head and even laughing a bit though was the gigantic globe they showed when they first reached the town in that island. It wasn't OP's planet, that was for sure. Instead it was ours, which made me love that movie even more for that little mistake. But what I really loved about this film overall was the art style and the dark tone they went for in the plot. I frekin loved it.
Strong World has the distinct advantage of being canon (or as close to canon as a movie can be), and both Z and Gold are very good movies on their own right. All three have gorgeous imagery (Merveille, the Endpoints, Gran Tesoro), great villains (Shiki is fun, Zephyr is glorious, and Tesoro is a complete psycho on par with Eneru)…
And yet nothing beats the Lily Carnation. That thing will haunt my subconscious for decades to come.
Also really liked Dead End Adventure, really felt like a canon adventure that could fit in the story - too bad Gasparde is a weak Crocodile knockoff. -

It's coming to Netflix October 12th, but there will only be 61 episodes since they couldn't complete the dub because of the pandemic. Well, finally we have a decent version of the anime in our language, now just more 880 episodes

That would just be the 4Kids dub all over again. Its best that all episodes are dubbed. Besides some of my most fave episodes are filler.

I'm glad it's finally releasing! Honestly the decision to dub all 130 episodes they have licensed before release seemed like a odd strategy to me, and 61 is still a fair bit anyway. I haven't seen any mention of it on the thread so I'm guessing no trailers or clips have been released as of yet?

I miss how he sounded like Horohoro from Shaman King.

I rlly like that luffy actually, it feels a bit like Colleen and Tanaka at the same time in my opinion. Yeah thats certainely an odd choice for Koby, I actually think the dude would make a much better Helmeppo

I think that Luffy is epic! It lacks the scratchiness of USA and Latin America yet it still sound boyish!

Coby's voice actor is the same from the first dub 14 years ago, he was a kid back then and his voice matured a lot, he'll sound better when Coby grows up.

Actually, all episodes are dubbed since december, something happened with Netflix and they removed ALL the episodes with no explanation whatsoever, the voice actors have no idea what happened.

Looks like the Brazil dub of One Piece is now up on HBO Max in Brazil. It's the first 130 episodes (East Blue and Baroque Works).
