I dropped games like 3 years ago really. Never thought that day would come. Anyway, I remember this being announced from some event last year. I didn't know this trailer came out recently.

I like Zooey Deschanel in New Girl but dunno if she’d be up to play a super hero. Guess we’ll never know. Don’t think she’s been given a role like that in her career.
-
I love Zooey, but she would not have fit the Wasp. Evangeline Lilly did a great job.
-
Damn shame that Evangeline Lilly in the real world became a weirdo.
-
Officially released on YouTube
-
It drives me insane that they released it in the wrong aspect ratio.
-
Silver Surfer has been cast.
And you can guess how this news is being taken
-
I know nothing of female Silver Surfer. So I guess I'm going in clean.

Much like the actual Silver Surfer, there's nothing to know. Looks cool, that's about it. Always neat as a secondary character but no ones managed a really good must-read SS story, so all the Galactus heralds are pretty interchangeable.
She actually appeared in Silver Surfer #1, so she's been around since the 60's.

Given I was recommended a YT video today titled "Why the X-men were never woke until now" , I can only imagine how these rumors being confirmed true are being received.

That is a hell of a title doing a hell of a lot of lifting, wow.

I hate Silver Surfer! When I first started getting into comic books I got a bunch of collections of old characters comics, and I was so excited to see Silver Surfer, he looks cool, his powers are cool and he can travel anywhere in space and time on a god damn surf board, that should make for infinite potential for cool stories
Instead he just whined and bitched the whole time about having been Galactus’s herald and the sins he committed
And I understand that the authors needed to do that in the first issue or so, they needed to show that he felt bad about what he did
The problem is he never freaking stopped, he just constantly whined and moaned about what he had done, even in action sequences he would be like “maybe this is my karma for the atrocities I committed”
It’s like just fly through space on a surfboard and shoot lasers and stuff! It can’t be this hard to write
And that’s my rant
-
I can't stop thinking about how fucking cool the X-Men are. Goddamn, I hope X-Men '97 goes on for a few more years and gets to be even more explicitly queer and woke. The absolutely killer way these episodes have not only done good soap operas, but also torn bigots new assholes has been amazing.

Damn I didn’t figure you could get pissed.

Considering how broken his powers make him no he is that hard to write.

Yeah lol I might have gone overboard
But the character just bugs me
I’m much more looking forward to the live action X-Men over fantastic four and silver surfer anyways
-
This will always be the...well, most memorable version of Silver Surfer (apologies for outdated gay stereotypes)
-
I’m shocked that YouTube hasn’t gotten a takedown notice for that clip.
Considering you couldn’t keep it on there 16-17 years ago.
On that note fuck CN or the shitbird responsible for that cockup.
-
Goddamn, that was certainly...lifts limp wrist
-
Well, the episode was banned for a reason.

lol holy shit, it was?
-
Don’t know when it started but sometime prior to the turn of the century that episode was taken out of circulation. And probably with one instance on Boomerang before it became Nicktoons it’s never been aired ever again.
No one with any knowledge of the circumstances has ever explained why. And as I mentioned before originally you couldn’t even have that episode uploaded on YouTube with getting hit with a DMCA takedown.
Which I guess now there’s no problem with it.

This one too
Regarding the Dexter's Lab episode, according to the Wiki:
"For awhile, it was famously rumored that the episode was banned due to Spooner being considered a stereotype of gay men and Krunk getting drunk at the end, but eventually it turned out that the episode was banned due to threats by the creators of Silver Surfer over at Marvel Comics who viewed the Silver Spooner as a misuse of their character and a potential copyright infringement."

Personally I always liked the fact that such an inherently ridiculous character concept was the most melancholy and thoughtful Marvel comic.
That said, the revival decades after the original did give him a lot more to do since he was no longer exiled to our solar system and allowed him to interact with beings on his own scale like the Elders of the Universe.

I think remember reading this too. And this is funny for a number of reasons not the least of all is that Family Guy years later infamously did something similar with Iceman. But in the case of the second Spooner just like a good portion of the other characters from Dial M for Monkey & Justice Friends were parodies of existing superheroes which apparently caused no friction.

"We don't like chicken!" Oh, so they're the TERF kinda dykes.
Anyway, holy god, that was a barrage of dyke/butch jokes, wowzers.

RDJ says he would happily return to the MCU:

-
Shit. It's TOMORROW.
-
I hope they show the villain, I want to know if the rumors on who the villain is are true or not
I don’t think it’s been 100% confirmed yet
Also what time does the trailer drop tomorrow?
-
DADDY'S HOME!
So happy to see Jackman again, I'm wondering what exactly his arc is in this film.
-
Was not expecting the Madonna. XD
And I love how half the fighting is fighting bad guys and the other half is fighting between the two of them.
-
My hopes came true they showed the villain in the trailer
-
Any idea on who the villain is? I'm not recognizing her.

Cassandra Nova.
Professor X's evil twin sister that he killed in the womb.
With his psychic fetus powers.
But despite being a miscarriage she survived as a clump of cells in a sewer while building a new body and spent decades plotting revenge.
And there's something about alien Shiar spirit counter halves and at one point she posessed Xavier for a while and caused an intergalactic war and then she had her mind trapped inside a slug that was put into a box that nothing could get into except Kitty....
It was during the Grant Morrison era and was really really bad. That was also around the time they introduced secondary mutations which was also dumb and shortly before Joss Whedon's run where he tried to clean up some of that. Or maybe made it more convoluted? I'm not sure it's been like 20 years.
They... are probably not going to do any of that.
-
Well, if they can simplify it a bit that'd be good.
-
Hah! Now an Alfred Hitchcock Spidey, THAT would be interesting.
-
Cronenberg Spider-Man when?
-
Sooooo . . . . not Black Professor X?
-
Dang, I can't believe they got Stingray from Cobra Kai!
-
Adds him as what? For now I'm going to assume it's not Dr. Doom.
-
People are guessing H.E.R.B.I.E.
-
Better than my suggestion of Red Ghost
