Well, why not?
A lot of people are latching on to War Machine now because not only is Rhodey Black, he's also now disabled and has to wear leg braces. That apparently means a lot to a bunch of disabled kids out there.

The Stark Wars story is one of the first arcs I tried out as far as Marvel is concerned. To add to all that, Cheadle to me, was the most equipped performer to lead a series after Black Monday and House of Lies. For them to format it as a film says that they are obviously invested in a theatrical franchise as opposed to series.
Most of the series are 4 hours and some change and might not get a sequel season. They are purposely left open to service the films that are prioritized. The films are slowly conditioning the audience for 3 hour films. So, 3 films of Rhodey over 4-6 years would be about 6 hours as opposed to getting a 4 hour series and possibly not getting a 2nd season.
It's extremely difficult to deliver a Disney+ series the following year. Example with Loki not getting a season 2 til 2023 and it's the only live action 1 with that treatment. It's showrunner had to deal with MoM and now both head writer and directors are being replaced by in house creatives.
WV is perfect as a segue to MoM for Wanda and Agatha gets the CoC series. Many of the series don't have clearly defined functions after completing like that.
Got me hyped (quite a fresh feeling for a Marvel movie nowadays)
I was just on the Marvel sub talking about Waldron (Loki showrunner, MoM lead writer), now he's confirmed to write Secret Wars.

So far
Will they promote from within again for the SW director?
Coogler confirmed what was already know - he is using Autumn as the cinematographer this time. She was the cinematographer for Loki. I like that those working on the series can transition to films and not just the characters and storylines. They get to work with more time and a higher production cost.
I hope Coogler takes on the Secret Wars film. I'm sure that he has to be beyond exhausted by Wakanda Forever but if possible I'd like for him to rest and then handle that film, lest they instead decide to give it to Cretton.
I'm torn between which is the best of these 2. I respect the 3 other posters, but these 2 standout even more.
Jonás Cuarón is set to direct Sony Pictures’ El Muerto, which will star Grammy-winning artist Bad Bunny, also known as Benito A Martínez Ocasio.
Cuaron, the son of filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron, made his directorial debut with the immigration thriller Desierto. Gareth Dunnet Alcocer (Blue Beetle) is writing the script for El Muerto, about a wrestler with superpowers passed down from generation to generation in a single family.
The pic is in early development and will mark the first Latino character to lead a live-action Marvel film. El Muerto, a character originally from the Spider-Man universe, is an antihero and the son of a luchador, or Latino wrestler, and next in line to inherit the ancestral power of El Muerto.

Let's see if they can be as charming as the Madrigal
I'll admit, i'm a She-Hulk stan. I've campaigned for her to be in the MCU for over a decade. I've enjoyed most of this series. This is the first episode I didn't like. It makes me appreciative of the intimacy aspect of Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight.
Those 2 were the first series to introduce new leads in Phase 4. They require a level of privacy where it's just them and their support. Reading interviews as those series were on where showrunners had ideas of throwing in other MCU regulars and ultimately didn't, I felt relieved.
After Endgame, Marvel had this habit to take solo outings and make them a cameo fest. There's always been an initiative to service the world, but even those elements would simultaneously cater to the immediate story without distracting.
Why does She Hulk have such a low audience score on Rotten Tomatoes?

Holy shit, what is up with this asinine and stupid excuse??
Jesus christ, a show can actually just be bad without it being internet trolls trying to sabotage it.
This narrative is just so weird to me.
@Shiebs Have you read the reviews? or did you just look at the score? She-hulk is a very boring show. Its a law-centric comedy but none of the comedy works. None of the jokes land. The main character is extremely thin and has no depth.
As far as I watched it, it seems the whole thing is centered arond how a character that looks like Tatiana fucking Maslany is somehow unattractive and no one likes her. Also some weird dating stuff.
This wouldn't be a problem if the other characters were funny or fleshed out even a little but they are not. All of them are boring, one dimensional and interchangeable.
As a comedy show it fails. As a superhero show it fails.
And none of this, absolutely none of this, is centered on the fact that its a show run by women.
anyway, all in all. I say absolutely FUCK OFF to the convenient excuse that only incels and trolls don't like a show.
If something sucks it sucks.
Both things can be true the show’s low scores can be because it has legitimate flaws or can also have those same low scores because of people who know nothing else in life but to be petty self absorbed assholes.
@kevo_koma You have a lot of growing up to do as a person if this is how you respond to someone in a conversation that has nothing to do with you. About a show you admitted to not watching all of.
A show you went on to completely falsely describe.
How about YOU fuck off. Do you realize how pathetic you sound aggressively not only misrepresenting the show you admit to not actually watching, but accusing YBM of stating that "only incels and trolls don't like it"
She NEVER stated that. She elaborated on the review bombing. Never said "there is no valid reason to not like this perfect piece of art"
She answered a question accurately, not involving you. And you completely misrepresented it.
Congrats. Maybe watch the show and realize how you're coming off as EXACTLY as the pieces of shit internet doucebags they're accurately highlighting
I'm with kevo_koma on this one. I'm sure there is a fair percentage of losers who are infuriated that the show very bluntly criticises and mocks them, and I have absolutely no sympathy for idiots like that. But I've seen all of the show because I'm a Marvel fanboy and I can't say I find it very good. I mean, humor is subjective, obviously, but I personally don't find it very funny, clever or engaging. So yeah, I have to agree that the show doesn't really succeed as a comedy nor as a superhero show. I'm generally fine with that, not every single thing Marvel does have to appeal to me. She-Hulk simply seems divisive - some people love and some people think it's the worst thing the MCU has done.
But giving a blanket response of "Oh it's probably those evil, stupid cishet people!" is just infuriating, lazy and hateful. A statement like doesn't exactly invite civil discussion and I can understand why it pissed kevo_koma off. Maybe we should calm down a bit and cool it with the "Fuck off"s though, there is no reason to be so aggressive.

Ok, i was in no way attacking the poster. I was just frustrated at the opinion(one that has been repeated multiple times online)
But yes, perhaps my tone came across as aggressive.
I was attacking the message, not the messenger.

Except I specifically referred to cishet people with low self-esteem and who hate women in their pop culture media as probably review bombing the series as a likely explanation for the stark negative review scores. You're not a cishet guy who has low self-esteem and hates seeing women in their media, so what the fuck do you care?
I don't think She-Hulk is any much better than any of the other Marvel stuff and I'm the goddamned target audience (a woman). I do, however, know what cishet men with low self-esteem to do any trace of women on the internet, whether that's stalk and harass them or weirdly pray on an alter of being so loud about how 'bad' women in media are that all of the search result reflect those minority opinions.
I'm gagged a bit that as soon as the male gaze is a bit turned off people suddenly can't connect to the show, lol.
It's an easy paced, light comedy. Maybe it's not for you and that's ok. I find it funnier than most Marvel attempts at comedy, btw.
With that said, the last episode was just so weak. I'm gonna be mad disappointed if the main goal of the Inteligenccia is just to ruin She-Hulk's reputation. I thought the blood sample was going somewhere...

I imagine that the blood sample is definitely going somewhere, but that attack at the gala—not to mention what Josh did to her—is easily the most realistic and hurtful attack on a hero these films and series have done. It's really brutal and I'm not sure how Marvel tops that.
What I did like about this episode, though, is that it sets up Jen's next step in her journey. Jen becomes a hero and a lawyer on her own, which I think really helps give us an idea of where her character is going from here on out.
It was quite brutal, indeed. This whole last bit of Jennifer being portraied as a monster after having a emotional burst just goes very in hand with what the show is talking about!
The weak part of the episode was, unfortunatelly, Daredevil's presence - which where quite bland and the romance just felt a bit dull. God, even Jennifer losing a case because she hasn't checked with her client about the costume use felt a bit forced. In my mind, the back and fort also did not paint them as masters of their craft, so I was left feeling a bit like the show was telling me "you are supposed to think X" instead of actually feeling like X.

@Coookie This is a good post. I didn't see this type of reviews. Point taken
The good news: Moon Knight isn't gone yet! (no word of an actual season 2 though)

The bad news: If Marvel doesn't get its shit together we could face losing Mahershala Ali:

How you do a superhero movie and only have two action sequences?
Just finished the finale. This is 1 of my favorite characters, so I will be honest and say I am biased.
I've never seen a character be such a guest in their own story for these last 2 episodes. Those first 7 episodes are so good, then these last 2 are just atrocious.
She-Hulk finale
I really enjoyed the finale of She-Hulk. The finale was pretty much perfect in my opinion and it had everything why I'm a long time fan of the She-Hulk comics.
I just watched episode 7
Man, the last episode was just SO good! I was smiling through the whole thing. Tatiana's comedic timing while dealing with you know who was top notch, too. Overall a really entertaining season, second only to Wandavision imo when it comes to Marvel TV.
Hope the team manage to do something just as good for season two.
I'm a bit lost on the cousin's son - like, I had no idea Marvel had given descendents a real shot in continuity. Eager to see if we can solve a bunch o daddy issues in this phase.
After the rumors, Ford is officially confirmed to play Ross who will be in both Captain America NWO and the Thunderbolts.

William Hurt played him in the MCU from The Incredible Hulk up through Black Widow. He's the guy who is historically known for hunting Bruce Banner.
And becoming the original Red Hulk in the comics.
Ohhhh, right. That guy. Well, Harrison should have fun.

He should it’s not like he’s going to be killed off in first appearance
If it was up to me, i'd throw Ross in Armor Wars and WW Hulk as well. His relationship with Rhodey and Bruce being obvious.
Never got to see Ruffalo and Hurt bounce off each other, so Ford and Ruffalo would be 2 CGI blobs sharing dialogue. There's just the 08 Hulk film for Norton/Hurt interaction.
I can't wait for interviewers to ask Ford about his character and for him not to even give half a shit about all this.
Rumor has it that Sacha Baron Cohen is playing Mephisto in the new Ironheart series:

I'd be up for it!
Would anybody like some more Namor footage?
I love both Strange and Scott's character arcs throughout the MCU. I love Doctor Strange's solo debut more than Ant Man's film. It's weird to me how Ant Man has the better sequel film. AM&TW is so wholesome and centers on family.
While I like MoM, i'd prefer if it played to Strange's support more. Mordo seem like an afterthought among the Illuminati. Wong had his moments, but he was barely essential to the film. I understand the Multiverse aspect, but I just don't like that it mainly featured other versions of Christine and Mordo. It's them, but it's not them. As much as I like Wanda being the antagonist, i'd prefer if it was some other force with Mordo and Christine from the main Earth as the featured support. Instead, all reworked to cater to the Multiverse element and Wanda.
I really like that they are exploring the QR as a family. Makes me feel confident that the spirit of AM&TW is still there. Might be the 1st solo MCU trilogy since Steves' where every film is better than the last. I wish Steve's debut film wasn't a bottom 5 MCU film. It would make the trilogy so much better.
If they don’t cast Nathan Fillion as Wonder Man then I don’t even want to watch it, he’s the perfect pick
What's not to like about a trailer with Elton John in it?
Effects look fabulous, but man, was this entire movie done in green screen?

Marvel mostly shoots on green screens now because CG lets them make decisions last minute (no, really, that's the reason) and also isn't union.
The last project of Phase 4
Mantis and Drax going to Earth to get Star Lord a Christmas gift. Best. Holiday. Special. EVER.
Sounds so sweet, I'm game
