Yeah I think it's a much weaker intro as well in terms of impact but I guess the point is to show their personalities and designs rather than instill an imminent feeling of danger.

prolly because Luffy was spotted going straight into Wano, that all BB knows, he seems unaware of whats happening inside the country.
which makes me think 2 things, one that Teach should realize how bad things will go for him if Luffy comes victorious out of this(because of the massive strenght Luffy and Shanks would represent without Kaido around) and should do his move quickly, and two, that they could send Moria there in exchange for Absa's corpse or something.

It's only isolated in the sense that the Wano natives don't get any news from the outside world, and that the Marines don't know specifics like exactly how strong the samurai there are. We saw in Ch. 907 that the Marines intercepted a call where Big Mom straight up says that she's going to Wano to kill Luffy, which in turn makes it obvious to them that Luffy is or will be going to Wano as well. They put that in the news, and then Blackbeard reads about it. Done and done.
If it didn't go exactly like that, a fellow Yonko knowing about this isn't exactly surprising considering their resources.

But that is too much of a coincidence for him and Shiryu both were from Impel down, both still wearing Impel Down high ranking officer uniform look alike and both replacing Impel Down logos on their uniform with the same looking skull logo.

The story of One Piece is becoming so big and heading towards a climax so fast that Oda can no longer do his isolated arcs where the story solely focuses on the crew and their immediate surroundings. The outside world is BREAKING into the narrative. This is what happened in the Reverie Arc, which was unexpected and new in how short yet choked with big important events it was. And then this chapter, which we can expect more of down the line. Very creative of him to use these kabuki-style "breaks" to filter in that outside world.
Too soon to call, but I imagine in our next "break" chapter we'll see the fallout of the Revolutionary attack and how/if they got Kuma back.

A long time ago I don't post in this place and I don't usually write too much on these threads, but this time it's worth writing a will XD (sorry if this bothers someone)

I hope she doesn't find Moriah, not because I want her to betray him, but because I want her to be safe. Going after Moriah could mean her death, because Perona's fruit is strange but can be very useful in a serious battle.
Thinking about Mihawk's words, I wonder why he told Perona that it was better that she left his island and he related that to the Reverie… Will it have to do with the fact that in the Reverie the people decided to abolish the "Shichibukai System" once and for all? Although I think that Mihawk doesn't affect him too much ... Oda has confirmed that Mihawk is the strongest swordsman.
About Moriah, although he's not my favorites, I feel sorry for the poor man. I guess him should join Teach because he doesn't have any more options. And I'm surprised that Oda has killed Absalom, RIP him. I preached that Oda was cheating us by showing us that the New World was less crude than it seemed, but I was wrong. And I dom't say it only for Absa, but for the other deaths that have happened and for the situations that have occurred lately.
About Devon, I'm surprised she has that "Nine-Tailed Fox" Fruit, I thought that we would see that fruit in Wano Kuni because of the Japanese mythology, but Oda decided otherwise. So, we have Teach with two fruits, Shiryu with Clear Clear Fruit, Devon with Mythical Dog-Dog Fruit and now Moriah joins ... it's a huge battle power that Blackbeard has now ...
Teach ... with the images it's seen that he's a Yonkou, of course. And he's really a dangerous guy, since he's willing to do anything. I thought that he would have a higher reward, but I suppose that being a "rookie" Yonkou the value is fine. I wonder if he will come to Reverie (before going to Wano Country) as several fans theorize. And I also wonder what happened in that confrontation between the Revos and the Admirals, but I think that saving Kuma is something difficult.
About Act 2, I'm so glad that Tama-chan is fine! And she's so cute when worrying about Luffy, awwwwww. I love her! :wub:
On the other hand, seeing Ashura was more eager to know about his past. And I'm impressed that he can face Inuarashi, which shows he has a good level.
And finally, we have Jack. The truth is that I admire the resistance of this character. He has fought with several, he has received many beatings and always he gets up again :O . And if that weren't enough, the Kaidou's "star subordinates" , King and Queen, scold him as if he were a boy and he is very submissive, LOL ... About Queen, I expected him to be a strong woman, but Oda always has another idea crazy xD.
The truth is that I think this chapter is the best this year.
I thought that Wano Arc could be good, but Oda has managed to exceed my expectations, thinking that we are "beginning" this arc (at least for me, Act 1 has been more an introduction than anything else).If what follows is just as good, I think this might be the best arc to date, but I better control my hype xD, because later I could be disappointed by waiting "a lot".
Let's see what Oda does.

The prisoner stayed in Impel Down and escaped when everybody else did. It's a fact that no one had escaped jail before. Hannyabal would surely mention it in the same way he mentioned Shiki.
That can only be Pizarro. He had no jail uniform when released, unlike the others. Probably stealing clothes from the Okamas.
Plus, I think Iva would recognize the ability of a fellow Revolutionary, or Morley would join forces with a fellow Okama. There are too much contrivances for it to have been Morley.

Wano is already becoming the best arc ever, all this reveals i cannot take it. And Oda very wisely kept us in blue balls for Auger, Doc Q, Stronger, Vasco Shot, and San Juan Wolf.
The blackbeard pirates are the coolest villains i've ever seen in anything, I've been deeply in love with them as antagonists ever since I read Jaya. It's so, so cool to see them shaping up to be these crazy dudes.
And Blackbeard's Pirate Island makes SO much sense. His love of partying is like a dark, twisted version of Shanks or Luffy's, or even Buggy's. But it's so fitting. Also blows my mind that Pirates Island was mentioned as far back as Davy Back Fight. So yea i cannot handle all this insanity rn. Also, i cannot believe someone like Jack actually acts that way towards King and Queen. Just makes me dread them even more.

That being said, since the number of competent fighters in the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance currently vastly outnumbering the Beasts Pirates, I have a hard time seeing King and Queen being taken down by Zoro and Sanji without help. I mean as of now, there are only FOUR competent fighters in the Beasts Pirates ffs, and their Headliners and Gifters are all seemingly fodder-tier joke. (not counting supernovas like Drake and Hawkins of course, because there is a 100% chance of betrayal here.) This is very different from BM pirates where there are around 20 or 30 competent fighters, so everyone could realistically get a 1v1.

Well the arc just started. They must have competent DF-Users prior to SMILE or they would not have been strong enough. There is also the Samurai side. We didnt see a single Samurai of Orochis faction yet right? Atleast not in action
