I would enjoy if Orochi would be alike to Orochi from Japanese legends…
For that to happen he would need to be Hydra Zoan user imo. Him being said to be two swords style user screams "Zoros enemy of the arc!"..

There is no proof Brook was planed to be tied with Laboon from the start.
so the prophecy speaks of 9 samouries but we know only 5 so they are 4 missing. Kinemon is still hiding things
Brook's char was sketched while Oda's drawing style was "east-blue-ish", but I get your Point: his Connection with Laboon was written way after the sketch. Anyway, it was well-executed.
The main issue I have with that time-travel-ability is: Momo's mom is dead for pretty sure.
So the fruit reappeared somewhere and the likes of BB could look for it and (ab)use it.
We don't know yet how it works though. And why the time-gap of 20 yrs has been Chosen.
A rule of the fruit or by will of the user?
To your 4 missing Samurai-spots:
Okiku stayed on Wano. Kinemon, Momo, Kanjuro and Raizou looked for allies. Raizou went to Zou to find "true" allies (Inu and Neko).
The other 4 could have also stayed on Wano.
O tsuru said "she is new to the Country as well", maybe a lie to cover their secret from foreigners.
I've looked at the raw pages and the panel where Law explains that they have safe food is confusing to say the least. There's no indication of who's replying to him so it could be Shachi, Penguin, Kinemon, the SHs, whoever.
I think one thing that goes against Law being Shutenmaru is that Bepo and Kinemon wouldn't have terrible diarrhea from food poisoning if Law had already stockpiled safe, stolen food from the farm before Luffy arrived in Wano.
I would enjoy if Orochi would be alike to Orochi from Japanese legends…
For that to happen he would need to be Hydra Zoan user imo. Him being said to be two swords style user screams "Zoros enemy of the arc!"..
It really screams it, doesn't it?
But when I hear the term "hero" (as in this chapter for the Shogun), I also think of Spandam's desired moniker. So maybe Orochi is just this arc's Spandam who lets Kaidou do all the dirty work.
He went and did it after all. Hope he keeps the concept simple enough not to cause too many paradoxes.
Guess Zoro and Sanji's reunion will get postponed indefinitely.
I'm kinda bothered by some stuff, as always in every media. Fact Luffy couldn't just mention Ace is his bro, Zoro can't take a look at Luffy's sword for long enough to recognize the similarity to his own, Law has to be mysterious and vague for suspense (nobody should have fallen for that), and Zoro has to wander off on his own again and nobody is bothering to take a look or maybe sniff him out (Chopper). It's much too sloppy for my taste, even if I know some of them will have a timely and satisfying revelation and resolution.
But like I said, not just a problem with OP.
Why would Luffy mention that Ace was his bro though? One of the reasons for the time skip was to give Luffy enough time to mourn his bro. Plus its nothing new for Luffy's character not to name drop his family members.
Zoro gives Luffy respect as a captain. If Luffy says it's his sword, he has no right to just grab it and look for it. Its why he's asking and not demanding.
I thought Law being mysterious and vague about diarrhea was hilarious. Its congruent with his character so far.
Zoro wondering of has been an established part of the story since the beginning. At no point has Zoro wondering off, ended being a disadvantage to the SH. So of course they'll let him do his thing.
So there will be no Jinbe then?

Why wouldn't he? If you came to a place where you've never been to, and some guys start blabbering about your dead brother and how they loved him, you'd probably keep your mouth shut?
All it takes is one good look at a hilt ffs. And it's not like there's much of a discipline between ranks on Sunny, is there? And Luffy has no reason not to show it, really.
I don't. It's just not that funny.
No, that last thing is just dumb. Especially considering Law wants to keep their heads low. Letting off a dude who already became infamous throught the island wander off while they have serious matter to discuss with after being apart for a while… Nope.
You're happy with it? That's cool.
Haha Speed played them for fools.
Haha Speed played them for fools.
Huh? Nothing about Speed was suspicious, don't know why people think she suddenly broke free of Tama's control.

I would enjoy if some of real strong Samurai would be loyal to Orochi because they believe that what he does is actually best to the country.
And then lets say we have 4 top samurai in country being royal guard, main force of Wano with each of them being around as strong as Calamity/ Sweet Commander.
I really want to see Samurai who is Stronger than Zoro at this moment. Someone who could tango with likes of Katakuri and who will give Zoro bloody fight that he needs to get stronger than he is at this moment.
Gotta respect all the poop humor in this chapter. It makes it a pretty solid One Piece chapter. Well guess in this situation it wasn't solid. Hahahaha! Poop Joke!!
It'll probably be a running gag.
Chapter 746 I think
Ah that's a regular fall then. I almost thought it was an old foreshadowing of Kinemon falling through time
Incredible chapter. Significant quality jump from the previous 10, as if they were just a warm-up.
Luffy was very charming this chapter. Law's "benevolent pirate…?" moment was some nice perspective. Zoro's cocky "She's hiding something from us" really popped out at me, glad he outwardly acknowledged that there's more to her than meets the eye. It's very clear that there has been more thought put into this arc than every post-ts arc, and many pre-ts. The brainwashing of the students is disturbing, and it's PERFECT for the teacher to be a "snake". Two-handed style!? Interesting. Kyoshiro's design is dope and, well, flawless. Already drawn in by his playful attitude. Robin was nice to see, super casual readers won't notice her. That spread with the ruins of Oden castle was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. We even get to see a lot more of the Straw Hats; Sanji's group joins the fold! And forward time travel!
This chapter is far, far more than I ever expected, and I'm going to go ahead and say the storytelling Oda's doing in Wano is top class. I seriously think this will be my favorite arc when it's done. What the hell does Oda the mad man have planned for us?
did u not catch her look in that one panel??? toally supicious to me.
she will betray tama
A wonderful chapter. We got Robin doing spy things. We got Kyoshiro, who seems very cunning, and I like that. We also got a Rokurobi that's snake neck?
I believe Shutenmaru is different person, for right now anyway.
Also, it seems Oda is doing the one way time travel plot, which would avoid a lot of problems.
Awesome chapter, my guess - Kine/Kanju/Momo/Kiku/Raizou died 20 years ago but some DF (probably of Oden's Wife) gave them borrowed time to fulfill their destiny (maybe until that full moon night) and after that they might disappear - like Tidus in Final Fantasy X.
If oda does it this way I am gucci with time travel

Nothing looked off, and those type of panels are nothing new. On top of that, she reacted exactly the same to both Luffy and Tama as last chapter.

Why would they disappear? After the SHs are done with Kaidou and Orochi, Wano will need a new ruler–meaning Momo (married with Tama), instructed by Kinemon and his. Having them "die" after they get their revenge solves nothing in the grand narrative.
So now Oda is using time traveling aka Samurai Jack. Uhm…..thats cheap! But looks great for a movie where Luffy fights Gol D Roger or Whitebeard.
Theory: Odens wife had the Time Time no Mi and hes definitive ability was to travel tru time (and died after that) and now the person who has that fruit is......VEGAPUNK!!!!

Don't get me wrong: I'd love to see Zoro against a 2-swords-wielding Shogun. OP just has the Habit, that the so-called legends and "history" aren't 100% true, that is why I think that Orochi could be a weaker enemy. I'd also want to have Zoro fight some samurai on the lvl of Ryuuma (like the "actual" Ryuuma, not Brook's shadow in his corpse).
Chances are, since Kaidou seems to live on Wano for decades now, that one of the calamites is good with swords as well. But I'd personally prefer a real Wano-Samurai tbh.
EDIT: You gotta be right, that some Samurai could give Zoro a real struggle. Otherwise it'd be pointless for the marines to not go there. I know, Kaidou's there, but Wano must have Held strong People throughout the history for the marines to avoid that place.
Gotta get back, back to the past Samurai Kin'! Kin Kin, Kin Kin!

Well I am sure we will get to see Strong Samurai.
I just hope there is at least few of them. Like I would love to see Zoro against someone who could fight evenly with likes of Katakuri, so real fighting machine.
I cannot wait for Katakuri to be shown again, preferably on Wano going at it with for example an Admiral(there will be huge ass War at end of this arc where many groups will take action).
Oda just mocked the ghost thing prediction after last chapter. Next chapter I imagine he will mock the time travel prediction.
For sure it will be something silly like, idk, anything kanjuro draws becomes reality. So Law is shuten maru, and zoro got lost on the way, so he can delay sanji meeting zolo. There will be a talk between them, like usopp when he left the crew.
Can't kanjuro just draw a time machine and it will become real?
@uniaka:
So Law is shuten maru
Law is not Shutenmaru. They're both thieves, sure, but Shuten is too rich of a name to be just an alias. Plus, Kiku showed to know him.
oda's biggest challenge yet: writing a good time travel story.
This !!! I hope time travel doesn't leave a plot abyss on one piece. moving forward through time no problem, moving backward i hope not.
This !!! I hope time travel doesn't leave a plot abyss on one piece. moving forward through time no problem, moving backward i hope not.
My thoughts exactly.
Fast forward I can accept but going backwards would be difficult to accept.
Kyoshiro gets a intro box, but Snake Teacher doesn't?!
Obviously she's set to have a more important role down the road.
inb4 Snake Teacher=Queen.
I still want her to be a wildlike woman with a Lemur Zoan tho.

Hmmm would be really cool to witness. Its been awhile since fallen in love with a new female character.
So shogun teaches his citizen to be against outsiders, yet kaidou pirates are there. So unless kaido and his men got born on wano, it doesn't make sense, since orochi does the same thing as Oden. So his Citizen can't notice that or they stay quit out of fear?

Nah. One of Kaido's top 3 people wouldn't be wasting time doing petty busy work like that. Jack is in charge of an entire province of Wano.

It's because he is an evil hypocrite.
Sigh* Finally finished it. More than 6 hrs of Hard Work. I hope you like it. Enjoy!!

I was worried about the time travel at first (I've been hurt by that kind of thing before), but seeing the actual chapter put a lot of those fears to rest. The prophecy makes it pretty clear there'll be no going back to the Wano of the past, and that was something the spoilers just couldn't communicate.
And even as a vocal opponent of the time travel theories leading up to this, I have to admit that it does a good job of tying together a lot of little hints and bits of lore from the dialogue on Zou. And good news for the minks if the battle for Wano is fated to happen on a moonlit night, huh?
Personally thought the chapter was alright, but I was getting pretty annoyed with the secrets and how they handled. Everyone kept talking in double talk prolonging the explanation until the last panel, maybe he will come out tonight, this story even when told is hard to believe. Right in a world where a guy can turn into lasers and another guy a blue phoenix, stop trying to insult the intelligence of the audience. Tell us the secret and stop dragging it out, I hate stuff like that.
Zoro cuts random fodder, fans : OMG ZORO SEMPAI
Sanji goes to the bottom of the ocean to search for luffy, fans like meh, what else is in this chapter.
So it was time travel in the end. Meh. I hope that's the last we ever hear of it. At least this gives decent answers to a number of questions the setup had been leaving open - including that Momo did meet Roger, why Noseguy said he has been waiting for someone (guess he must be faithful to the Kozuki clan), possibly even Nekomamushi's cryptic "I am waiting for the dawn of this world" (although this could also have ties with Roger and the will of D, I seem to remember Pedro said something similar while refering to the Straw Hats during WCI)
Do you think the "9 shadows" of lady Kozuki's curse and "9 red scabbards" are the same people ?
Shutenmaru could be one of them, so with the 5 time-travellers already known to us that would leave 3 more "shadows" to discover, but I have a hard time picturing Momo as a part of the "red scabbards" group (sounds like a bunch of warriors). Could be one or two of the red scabbards did kick the bucket back in the day (or stayed behind and survived in secret, e.g. Noseguy), while Momo + unknown Kozuki + 7 scabbards (someone noted there are 11 graves including 4 lordly ones - those with the small rooftop) were sent forward in time.

Those were small children who were being taught. They can't know any better if someone doesn't tell them.
Okay so now time travel is involved….so now I am wondering...will Luffy time travel back and meet Roger?

Well you have to admit, one of them was deemed worth showing on panel while the other was not. No wonder they do not generate the same level of enthusiasm.
Anyway that's probably for the best, "we searched for you then somehow met with Kinemon" doesn't sound like a very interesting adventure. A little lazy on the writing side, maybe, it could have been shown and made exciting but I guess cuts need to be made if we don't want Wano to last 10 years. Personally I'd have preferred to see the whole Sunny crew together after they made land…
Okay so now time travel is involved….so now I am wondering...will Luffy time travel back and meet Roger?
It isn't necessarily. The whole concept of Will of D. is in abstract a concept that surpasses time/space so by the time Oda would've explained to us what it is, some sort of time manipulation or a manner in which you can mingle with time/space should appear sooner or later. I can't see how time travel / poneglyphs/ will of D aren't connected.
And the fact Luffy arrived at the same time 20y as it was foretold and stated in the "prophecy" isnt a coincidence. Oden's wife was probably reffering that someone with the Will of D. will come to aid in her revenge against Orochi but probably interpreted in another way (not knowing what the will of D actually was so she understood it as a prophecy of sorts).
Isn't it cool having Samurais traveling from the past to the present to join the fight? It tells me how much effort and love Oda has been putting in Wano.
Good, I wanted to know the official name of Leo's pirate crew, so this last part of this cover story was actually something I've been wanting.
Zoro getting lost is a running gag that never loses its appeal (maybe because Oda never overdoes it). But I wonder why do it now… I already felt like the Swirlyhats going away just to rejoin now without anything happened felt like unnecessary... maybe Oda is avoiding having Zoro and Sanji meeting for some reason?
EDIT: Maybe Zoro didn't really got lost, but just jump off for the same reason Bepo stayed back at the woods? I mean, he was eating poisoned food/drinking poisoned water...
For once, I enjoyed Law's presence. He was solidly funny this time. But don't get used, this is the second or third chapter I enjoy him since he was introduced.
From Magellan, "do you poop?", to Kin'emon now, One Piece is always at its best when it does poop jokes. Or SBS dick jokes. Keep it going, Oda. Always dignified.
Repeating what I said on the spoiler thread: we know Kiku is not really a coy kyaaaa~ girl as is evidenced when she loses control of herself and goes into samurai mode, she just tries to play the role of that girl. I wonder if the reason for that is because she knows Kin'emon is into those type of women.
@uniaka:
Can't kanjuro just draw a time machine and it will become real?
Given his poor drawing skills, I don't think anyone would want to ride his time machine… You'll never know when it will send you to...
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
@NoxDraz:
The long-necked teacher is also based off a rokurokubi, Japanese monsters portrayed as women with long necks.
The 9 are going to be the ninja-mink-pirate-samurai alliance: Luffy, Law, Neko, Inu, Momo, Kinemon, Kanjuro, Raizo, Okiku.
That would be strange, why only those 9 ? It sounds a bit arbitrary.
Since Momo is here, it probably means Inu is here too so maybe he will also reveal us some interesting things
May be to far fetched but as someone pointed out already, i think it was Oden's wife that had a devil fruit ability and like law's fruit, the power to send someone forward in time was in exchange for her own live. If her power was time related, then she might have been able to see the future to some extent, and then it begs the question what about her devil fruit once she died?
I think the person that might have eaten it was Dr. Vegapunk, that would explain why is scientific expertise is like 500 years ahead of anyone in the world, he might have used his power to see into the past (that's why he knows about devil fruits and their origins) and into the future, allowing him to advance technology.
Might be completely wrong but i kinda like this theory, what do you guys think?
Sigh* Finally finished it. More than 6 hrs of Hard Work. I hope you like it. Enjoy!!

You say “Brook is holding Momo who seems pissed” I think he is fighting Momo because Momo was hugging Nami and he is jealous.
Maybe the 9 saviours of Wano can end up being… the 9 strawhats
