@Chams:
It bother me a bit that we now have those confirmations that Vivi is, and will always be, a Strawhat, even if she's not in the journey with them at the moment. I always thought that, so I was really surprised when Vivi faded into the princesses backgroud during the Reverie. I thought she would have been an excellent point of view character, but the most memorable scene with her is that time she and Rebecca looked like the same person: that 's it, that's what I remember of her from the whole Reverie, (except for Im's photo of Vivi).
Vivi getting in Rob Lucci's face over the attempted kidnapping of her new mermaid friend was a VERY memorable scene to me, but aside from that I think her "fading into the princess background" was partly intentional…
Out of the Pastel Pirate Princess Brigade, the Reverie arc put a lot of the spotlight on Shirahoshi and I think that was meant to lead the reader to think that 'Hoshi would therefore be the "central figure" of later events, only for Im's photo to suddenly pull the rug out from under us at the last second and make us think "Wait, they're after Vivi?!" before cutting away to Wano.
Perhaps less effective on those of us scrutinizing and theorizing on a weekly basis than it would be on a casual reader, though... I, for one, have been on a Baroque Works nostalgia trip ever since Vivi reappeared after Dressrosa, so I've been fully expecting her to reintegrate into the plot (in one fashion or another) for years now.
@Monquito:
Jinbe is in, at least in the youtube channel.
chosing Vivi who's been gone for 100000 chapters over Carrot kind of shows who really matters for Oda.
Jinbe and Vivi are confirmed Strawhats ("Currently Absent" and "Former" though they may be).
Carrot, at best, is a prospective Strawhat. That makes a difference.
