! Aww man, it's a filler arc.
I assume this was talked about in the spoiler thread, but Franky's boss is the guy Oda talked about in the SBS years ago when a reader noticed a door or something reappear inbetween panels, right?
Great chapter. I love that Usopp became a Snake Toad Oil salesman.
Damn, the "sword" slash was drawn beautifully. Real excited for Wano. I guess Marco is not coming. I'm not surprised. He is tired to BB, who will most likely be dealt with in the arc(s) after Wano.
Really hoping the full crew reunites soon. Feels like ages.
That’s maybe one of the best single action panels in the whole manga!
Y’all think we’ll go back to the Reverie before Want begins in earnest, or is it full Wano time?
So what was the point going after Marco if he stays at the island?
We're probably heading back to Reverie next chapter.
Seems like this will be the thread used instead.

Thanks for this. Wano really looks amazing even if I would like to see Lev Zelt warp up first
The last panel is looking awesome drawn and the pic where Marco is crying is really nice as well. So much emotions
Now a question. So do we have only one Shogun at Wano and no emperor?
"Thank you very much….you shithead" lol.
One thing does strike me as odd. If Marco has the ability to heal as portrayed in this chapter, why wasn't he able to heal Whitebeard? What are his limitations?
Boo! I want to go back to Levely!
That last page is SERIOUSLY fucking badass.
wow i like these new kings i wonder what kingdom they represent i hope vivi meets them
One thing does strike me as odd. If Marco has the ability to heal as portrayed in this chapter, why wasn't he able to heal Whitebeard? What are his limitations?
Most likely the most annoying limit of all…... Time
So, where is Law?
Maybe its like putting on a bandage, or a temp solution rather than permanent.

Yeah taken just in an art vacuum, wowsers.

Ots probably limited in its regen and Whitebeard was getting old.
Can't really reverse that.
no, I want to go back to Reverie. Give me more Vivi

His limit is probably not being able to revive dead people
The last panel…exactly what happened?
Did Zorro use a thrust so strong that it went through the magistrate and the building or did he use some god-speed to cut and retreat. His final position/posture is bit confusing.
So what was the point going after Marco if he stays at the island?
He mentioned it. Weevil's on the way.
Thank fucking god Zoro is back
chopper will be happy to visit a sakura kingdom
I can't help but feel a little salty that we cut out of Reverie this early. I mean, it was obvious to me that its plotlines would be left hanging until closer toward the endgame, and as I thought more about it for the past day I understood that it would be weird to get too many wheels in motion only to put them on hold for the next 3 or so years. But damn. I at least thought we might get to see the declaration of war.
But either way I can't really be too mad because it's finally arrived! The arc I've waited for for so long, and it set a pretty good impression this chapter with its stunning artwork. The big intro spread was pretty, the slash at the end was fantastic. I wonder why Zoro's been attacking all those people though. Now Kaido just needs to get involved soon so I can exploit all the panels of him :3
I also enjoyed learning about Whitebeard's homeland. Kind of neat to get more looks at the oppressiveness of the World Nobles on the countries they rule over, but also to understand what happens to countries that don't have the World Government's protection, which I remember talking about on this forum a few weeks ago.
That was awesome… I'm sad we're not sticking to the Reverie but maybe we'll cut back eventually.
Also... I wanna see a raw to confirm, but... is Zoro ending his sentences with "De Gozaru yo" here?... That scanlation's random use of the term Gozaru at the end of one of his sentences would suggest this... if so that's hilarious.
Really good chapter!
So what was the point going after Marco if he stays at the island?
Well, Marco has something to tell Luffy, so at least we're not leaving completely empty-handed.

Can't wait to find out what he said in 18 months.
BTW
Is the “Guardian” spelling by the scanlator?
And do you think WB and Bakin were member of Rox pirates?
40 years ago is smelling
Marco will come. Oda will make a situation for it one way or other. He is the only viable 'peasant' candidate in this arc.
Loving Wano already. The overview of the island seems different from where Kaidou was shown. Intrigued to see the full geography of Wano.
As expected, an arc made for Zoro to shine.
And, please, don't get mad at me for saying this, but I already want the female instrument player with a kitsune mask to join lol :ninja:
Can't wait to find out what he said in 18 months.
Same!

See, if Nekomamushi had left with literally nothing, then I'd likely agree with you. But if he's coming back with a message, I dunno, could frankly could go either way.
We see more and more of BB's black beard. His beard is not just tied, he even has several braids in his beard (not that I am surprised by that though).

What I took from the last few pages, he was kneeling on the same spot from the start to the end.
EDIT: Maybe he turned by 90 degrees in one or another direction, but always kneeling on that sheet with the "bucket" on it.

marco not coming because he has to guard that village from blackbeard, not that he is tired with blackbeard

well, like the shp or nekomamushi know what happen beforehand
Hasn’t Weevil been implied to chase after Luffy first though? There’s a version of events where Marco still ends up showing.

i vote for his thrust that made all the damages

He mentioned it. Weevil's on the way.
nope, he only afraid that weevil will coming to the village knowing that there are his homelands
Same!

The problem is that if only purpose of Marco is to pass some 'words', no matter how crucial info it may be ,it would be a great injustice to his character. He already lost against BB and there are not many places left where Oda can put him to shine. Even if he participate in the final war against WG, there will be plenty others to share the 'platform' with. Final opponent of BB is definitely going to be Luffy ( and vice versa). He can at most lead the remnant of WB pirates for general aids against vast crews of Teach. Sure, all these places will have plenty opportunities too, but as of now Wano is the best.
@Kaido:
I wonder why Zoro's been attacking all those people though.
It was the magistrate in the middle who Zoro cut. That's why Zoro said he smelled blood on him.

Ah yeah, I didn't see his speech bubble at first
hmm i feel sory for kishido eh sanji i mean. haha peace brother
Things you would have never said like 2 yrs ago:
"NOT WANO! NOT NOW!!!"
Wow. Oda couldn’t even tell us what Marco wanted to tell Mugiwara. Nothing happened this chapter and no shocking info. Bring back the reviere where stuff actually happens
Welp, time to set up camp - we're gonna be here a while! I'd say around 3 years. Better get comfy.

That's not really a problem to me, because as you yourself admitted, Wano isn't his only opportunity. Also in hindsight, it feels weird having him in Wano without the rest of his crew. Nekomamushi did strongly imply that he was only looking for Marco, but finally having it confirmed this chapter that he's the only one around is a shame.
I don't want to stick hard to this but what Marco has to say to Luffy is moooooost likely about Blackbeard's "peculiar" physicality that allows him to wield two DFs.
Now putting that aside, I'm also wondering what Oda will do with the Marco-Weevil side-story…. It'll have to happen with both Luffy and Marco (and/or other Whitebeards) present; and according to Marco then Weevil will target the peaceful village. But when will it be set? Pre-Wano or Post. I cannot see another side-trip with swirly-hats before they go to Wano and it'll feel slightly anti-climatic to have Weevil as a foe after seeing someone like Kaido get defeated. Unless the plot merges....but Wano is so thickly laid as it is....Of course there's the whole Big Mom issue as well...
So the sword-hats are trying to infiltrate the palace (or at least Robin is using her geisha costume to d so) but alas nothing ever really goes to plan with the strawhats.
Maybe its now Zoro's turn to be captured XD will be hilarious if so
Sanji's fighting capabilities will have to stay in the back-burner, I'll be pleasantly surprised if he does fight but otherwise I'm keeping my expectations low.
I dropped a "holy shit" bomb out loud when I saw the Wano spread. This is obviously very inspired and has had a lot of forethought put into it. This is the most impressed I've been with the start of an arc, by far. People who think Wano will just be "muh fights" are in for a rude awakening.
That said! I'm still in the camp that wants more Reverie. I've said on another forum that if this is the parallel to seeing Sanji & co. on Zou near the end of Dressrosa, I will be a very happy guy. If not Oda should tattoo "Teasing Machine" on his drawing hand. Full Reverie or splice it in, I'd be happy with both.

I know it is out of context but still funny. Anyway Zorro's last panel with slicing the house is epic. The patience was worth it
