So what was the point going after Marco if he stays at the island?
Obviously he is not gonna stay, Weevil is coming there. My guess is, Marco is gonna influence Weevil to become independent from his mother, especially once they find out there is no inheritance except the village, and both are gonna join the Wa No alliance.
One thing does strike me as odd. If Marco has the ability to heal as portrayed in this chapter, why wasn't he able to heal Whitebeard? What are his limitations?
He probably drastically increases the natural healing properties a person has and the speed of it. Hence limits, hence he takes a day to heal up.
WB pretty much had no healing properties anymore, i guess.Btw, Marco´s Awakening is pretty interesting then and maybe another key factor in beating Kaidou, since if he can heal Luffy several times, he might have a chance.

This will be a very short arc, so many of the questions it brings will be answered in the following 1-2 months. Im's identity and the frozen Strawhat belong to something much bigger than the Reverie, so those two will most likely be kept in secret, but things like who Shanks went there to talk about, Bonney place in the world and her relationship with other characters (Kuma? WB?), Fujitora actions, Ryokugyu's identity, the RA move, Ryokugyu's face, Cobra finally confronting the WG, "Im's choice"… all of those are most likely being revealed now and not on a distant future.
And even the new questions that will most likely be open after this don't feel like the amount of things we don't know just keep increasing, but more likely we are finding out more and more about the world and things are narrowing down as we make significant moves towards the end.
How fast I was proven wrong…
Anyways, great start for this arc. I mean, Franky is back, so obviously it is good.
Like everyone else, got a feeling WB and Bakkin were part of the Rocks crew. I would need to check on Amazon Lily first, but I wonder if Gloriosa could also be a part of it.
And we got to see a bit more of Teach's current design and we finally got a look at his (now real to his epithet) beard.

It may be time to repeat my long-held prediction that Weevil will end up as the one where Blackbeard will get his 3rd Devil Fruit from. And whoever of the Blackbeard Pirates Sanji's gonna fight will steal Marco's Devil Fruit.
BB should come when Kaido is defeated, after having strongest logia and paramecia , only strongest zoan is left. I don't think Marco's DF will be taken. Zozu's one though necessary for story's purpose.

usually oda's islands are a mixture of elements of a country with something unique that still made it distinct..wano is just old japan, to the talso,i understand the need to wit..i don't understand why the need to get jobs in wano instead of staying hidden
I guess the best way to learn about the enemy is to become one with the people to hear stories and get info from them, Robin for example is she become a high grade Geisha will be able to meet the shogun and Geisha listen to that kind of people stories and secrets.

Well, i always thought that Roger & Whitebeard wore portrayeld as having "health issues" at a certain age/point in life and i can't help but wonder if it has something to do with an external influence. And knowing about this, Marco wants to prevent Luffy from triggering such sickness/health problem. Just a thought, nothing to back it up though.

Ugh, I really hope Oda doesn't sacrifice Marco as a stepping stone for Weevil to look more badass.
He survived the fight against Blackbeard - the guy with 2 super hax devil fruit powers, I think he'll be just fine, unless BB had mercy on him but i can't imagine someone like BB that is hunting rare and powerful DF abilities would let a power like Marco's slip away from him…

from what we know , he could not know a single thing about medicine, but still became a "doctor" in this village since he can heal people.
but i would have liked that the fact that he can use his flames on other people was mentioned before this chapter
He clearly said the effect on others is limited and it seems to only increase their rate of healing, its not a magic cure for others.

I think they mistakenly wrote "we're going to Wano" instead of "you're going to Wano". The rest is the same - Marco can't leave because of Weevil and want Neko to convey the message. He wouldn't do that if he went with him.

What i think is Fujitora is going to call all the Shikibukai and they are going to clash with Kaidou and Big Mom after their "alliance" in Wano arc. It's going to be a suicidal mission because Fujitora wants to erase them completly after what Vegapunk created. Weevil is going to Wano also because of his status so i think that Marco will finally come to save Luffy or maybe help him after hearing that.
If they come, you have Mihawk, Hancock, Buggy and Weevil plus Law and Jimbei (who is going to come) which five of them are "allies" and the other one is an enemy. Kuma is not going to come because he is in Mariejoie maybe dealing with Revolutionnaries and that stuff. So i think something like that is going to happen.

You are mistaking daimyo and shogun. The daimyo are feudal lords subordinate to the shogun. Momonosuke's father, Oden, was a daimyo.
The shogun is the military sovereign above the daimyo, appointed by the Emperor - even though in Japan the shogun was technically the real ruler for most time of their existence. It is uncertain at this point if in Wano there is an Emperor or if the shogun, Orochi, is officially the head of state.I may be wrong in a few points, not an expert on that subject, but that's the general idea.

Good chapter, great to see Zoro and the others back in action. Robin's outfit is wonderful and is gonna move A LOT of merchandise. I can already see the fanart and cosplay being made.
I think we as "older fans" tend to forget that One Piece is for young children and boys, and they don't wanna read about political meetings every week, even though we might, Oda knows where his bread is buttered. I'm glad we are getting back to the main cast, it's been too long away from them.

But as of now Marco's fruit doesn't 'resonate' with any of Teach's commanders. But Jozu's fruit is a perfect fit for Shiliew and eventually for Zorro to cut him down.

And Marco had a kick-based fighting style as seen in Marineford and fights with blue flames. And there is a Strawhat Member who fights with kicks who sometimes turn into flames.

Zoro is not doing a movement only with his left arm… he is spinning his whole body to the right (to add power) while raising his hand from bottom to top, therefore making the "/" movement.

I am upset they left the Reverie behind, but that said… I love the chapter on its own merits! A most perfect set up for Wano! I am currently learning Japanese and got myself a functional musashi katana recently, so the timing is humorous.
