Does anyone know where to find that info about the anime team being provided the names of the Charlotte kids? If they specifically mention that instead of "Big Mom Pirates", this could prove the guy is not a homie.

Well, while it is not conclusive that every anime named character necessarily has to be a Charlotte kid, at least personally I'll take this as enough evidence he is a Charlotte son and not a homie.]

Yeah, what was up with those kaiju roars? Was someone really in the sound mixing department really hyped for the new Jurassic Park movie or something? (also jeez did Opera get destroyed. That shot of Big Mom going for the slam dunk with him's just begging to be memed to hell and back.)
Another two AD episode, but a lot better-looking than the last one, and it did cover more than I thought it would too, so that's nice. Still, I'm scratching my head at how Streusen turning the entire chateau into a cake is actually supposed to improve the situation. Instead of the town below being crushed it should've been drowned in frosting instead, like Boston's great molasses flood x100.
I wonder how Mami Koyama feels about the vast majority of her lines for the rest of the arc being, "WEDDDING CAAAKEEEE!!" and variations thereof.

I don't think he's a homie since there was at least one or two other pumpkin/scarecrow people sighted in later chapters.
Jesus. Is 13-14 page episodes the new average now? They can’t keep narrowing it down and down. This is ridiculous. Soon we’ll be at five pages, five minutes on reaction shots. (Haven’t seen this episode yet.)

This episode covered 15 pages (10 from 872, 5 from 873). Based on the title, we know the next episode will cover at least the missing 11 pages from 873 and 3 from 874, so 14 pages minimum (probably more, since the episode will probably not end at the moment that gives it its title).
That's still less than what the episodes used to cover until a few months ago, but not that much if we go back to 15. OP chapters are short by themselves, having only 17 pages including the cover (sometimes less, like 904), so even the episodes that cover one full chapter only cover 16 pages.
Did the credits mentioned Compote's voice actor by any chance? I think i heard her before already but i can't put my finger on it.

My gut says that it's Aya Hisakawa (Chiffon) since Compote sounds a bit nasally and a touch shrill, but I can't say for sure. It's not as obvious as the "Zoro with a heavy cold" voice that Kazuya Nakai's using for Nusstorte at any rate!
When judging on an episode covering a certain number of pages you have to judge it based not on how many pages of a single chapter it covers which is not really that important, but rather on what the episode is set out to focus on and whether it does it well or not. As we know Oda does skip a lot of relevant content for the anime to fill in, and even intends for them to do so. Some chapters have the potential for a lot of info to be filled in. This episode, for example, explained why the heck Opera ended up in that position in the first place, which was helpful imo because many people were confused about that. The recent episodes have also been filling in some of the chaotic off-screened fights which is not necessary but not bad either. If you compare the options of which the anime has used over the years to waste time, this is by far the best of those options.
The only real complaint I would find valid is the scene with Caesar though I personally thought that was pretty funny, and it screamed to me like the anime team being required by contract to give his VA a certain number of actual spoken dialogue to meet a criteria. Well this is the last time we'll be seeing him for who-knows how long so I was perfectly alright with it.
I suppose people can complain about the Big Mom dinosaur roar too. I mean I found the choice to be weird myself but it's not that big of a deal at the end of the day.
EDIT: Oh yes the missing Straw Hats have definitely been sprinkled in the Big Mom pirates. Definitely heard Zoro for that one guy with the cigar. The little brat always sticking is tongue out is obviously Yao/Franky. Someone can confirm but I'm confident Usopp and Robin have been around as well.
