I got into writing fan fictions quite a while back but lost interest in it after a few years. I had started and gotten quite far into one that followed more of a 'One Piece movie' format, with lots of one-on-one fights that sort of ended pretty quickly as is the way in limited-run movies, and a story designed to be self-contained. It was post-Franky but pre-Brook so it didn't have anything from during or after Thriller Bark but I thought it was pretty good. I doubt anyone here has heard of it (it was on Mediaminer.org, I think), called "Cursed Island of the Devil Fruit Gods" or something, been quite a while since I last looked back there. Basically I wanted something where each person on the crew, whether in teams or otherwise (including Smoker and Tashigi thrown in for laughs), takes on a Logia user and triumphs. Also wanted the main boss to be a lava/magma monster (imagine my disappointment when Akainu showed up in the manga). Anyway, I thought it had been pretty creative how I devised weaknesses for each of the Logia users before the advent of Haki.

I had an idea for another one that I never even started but I wanted to at least see what people thought of the concept. I know it's not a new idea, the premise for this one but I thought it was a good setup for a scary alternate future type of thing. Here's what I was thinking, and it's just a short-ish description compared to the actual narrative that it would otherwise be:

The crew is in a big firefight on the ship against some hardcore bounty hunter types and there's lots of DF powers being thrown around. One of them is some kind of time warping thing and in the fracas, Usopp is thrown overboard, falls through one of these wormholes, and awakens in a future a little over a decade beyond the events where he fell off the ship. The world is different, peaceful but in more of a 'you get out of line and you die' sort of way (think the Justice Lords episodes of Justice League). Usopp sets off to find what happened to his friends. He first meets Sanji, but only by accident. He runs into a ship in the middle of nowhere called "The Shitty Restaurant" run by a dumpy little bald man with a crutch and severe limp. He doesn't recognize him as Sanji, but Sanji never forgot Usopp. It turns out Sanji did find the All Blue, which is where the floating restaurant is right now. Only, all the fish are gone. Luffy liked them so much he had them fished to extinction to feed his endless appetite. Apparently Luffy changed more than anyone after they lost Usopp and all went their separate ways.

Usopp departs Sanji's place and gets caught in a storm, nearly drowning but he's rescued by a small, low-flying cloud island covered in orange trees. His rescuer, a one-eyed Nami with an eyepatch, greets him and tells him she's no longer obsessed with money because of how much things have changed, and she prefers to just be alone after what happened with Luffy. Usopp is now far more curious to find Luffy and try to help since he seems to have taken a turn for the worse, beyond anything any of them could have imagined.

He moves on and meets Franky and Chopper, who are in even worse states than Sanji and Nami. Chopper apparently had some kind of brain surgery to turn him back into his animal-brained self so he no longer had to live with the knowledge of everything that happened and is just a normal reindeer again, living on Franky's farm where no technology exists because Franky gave that up too, and is a frail old man without his cyborg implants, just using the bare minimum to keep living. Usopp moves on to a settlement with heavy Marine presence and is captured for not having any sort of identification on him which is illegal. This brings him to the attention of some old friends who are now working for the Marines.

Zoro and Robin are married, though it's more of a political marriage and they are both also Shichibukai. They identify Usopp and place him under their protection, and explain what is happening in greater detail. The Marines are under new management, namely working for the Pirate King, Luffy. They're even more ruthless than in the old days because Luffy blames what happened to Usopp on the reputation of other pirates who gave those like him a bad name. Luffy himself is a giant, having gotten used to stretching himself out to the point where he can stay enlarged at all times, and he's in the same condition as Whitebeard, hooked up to medical machinery and being attended by medical staff constantly. He demands great amounts of food and tribute and so the majority of the world is starving because of it.

So Usopp has to try to get through to Luffy and change things for the better if he can't get back to his own time. Fortunately Luffy has a collection of Devil Fruits from all the slain users and one of them is the one to create time warps so Usopp can return to before he traveled through time and stop any of it from happening.

I dunno, it sounded cool when I thought of it. Just watching everyone hit absolute rock-bottom in ways Oda probably hadn't even considered.

I started a fanfic years ago but never finished it. It was a parody, poking fun at the fandom's idea of 'hey this person on the crew is connected to that important person!" in which I had fun going overboard on the idea and making most of the Strawhat officers (the real crew) be connected to someone, some are reasonable, some are not and are total asspulls for the lols. It only got one chapter to it, but is written as it could be a stand-alone chapter. Only thing that points it being more is the summary.

In it I refer to the officers and that the crew is 50+ strong. I had the idea that the Franky Family & Galley-La guys did not get off but got bounties so ended up joining the Strawhats as grunts and the original Strawhats are the officers (navigator, gunner, shipwright ect). Of course that means Sunny would be larger.

I make Marco be Usopp's uncle, brother to Yasopp, but later had the idea of making Vista be Usopp's uncle, Banchina's big brother. A total asspull is making Sengoku have 2 sons and 1 grandson, all pirates. I can't even remember the reason I decided to do that. I do remember why I made Nami be Shank's daughter, back then some here in AF were actually theorizing that.

Story title is Outrageous!, first chapter is Sengoku's Bad News.
        [hide]Outrageous: Bad News

Disclaimer= I do not own any OP Characters.

Warnings = A/U, not following cannon, not following timeline, family!crack

Sumarry= When Usopp is visited by an uncle that is a big-time pirate, rest of crew learns that his father is Yasopp. This discovery and others teach them that it's a small world after all.

        Sengoku's Bad News

Letting out a heavy sigh, Sengoku ran a hand over his eyes. "Let me get this straight; this Da Vinci Usopp, marksman of the Strawhat Pirates, is the son of Da Vinci Yasopp, better known as Chaser Yasopp, marksman of the Redhair Pirates, who is turn, is the younger brother of Marco the Phoenix, first commander of Whitebeard Pirates. That is the new information, correct?"

Garp jumped at the perfect opening. "Don't forget that this kid's epitat, Sogeking, and we Marines gave him the title of 'King of Snipers'."

"Of course," Just when one thinks that these outrageous Strawhats has done it all, new information comes in. "Anything else?" Sengoku asked cautiously as he looked towards Tsuru.

"There is something about his father, Yasopp…" Yawning, Aokiji acted as if he didn't see Garp's glare at him. It was a rare moment when he can guess at what Garp is up to and beat him to it. "…Marco too, since they're brothers. But I'll let Garp say it."

Grinning widely at Sengoku's trepidation, Garp took the hint and continued. "We found out that those two are the sons of Shakuyaku!"

"What!" With bulging eyes, Sengoku was seen sputtering, unable to finish a simple sentence.

"Hey, Sengoku, wasn't Shaky once …"

        "Garp!"

"Then that mean that the Phoenix and Chaser are …"

        "Garp!"

        "And then Sogeking is …"

        "GARP!"

Chuckling, Aokiji decided that Garp was still cool after two decades. It seemed that they are the only ones who knew after all. Everyone else was trying to figure out why Sengoku bellowed every time Garp tried to say "your".

The doors slammed open, bringing a stop to the various talks. Akainu strode in and headed straight to Sengoku with a folder in hand. "Recent intelligence has confirmed our suspicion of Nico Robin's father. Also, Whitebeard has recently learned of the connections between his men and the Strawhat Pirates"

"What!" Sengoku decided that it really sucked to be him right now.

Meanwhile on the Moby Dick, a spy within the Marines higher ranks reports to his true captain. No doubt it demands action, looking at the information he was handed, Whitebeard stayed silent as his sons talked about the surprising news.

"What an unusual crew of rookies." Haruta was too flabbergasted to say anything else.

"It's unusual for an experienced crew to have so many connections to such seasoned figures …."

"You mean legends…" Blenheim inserted with a grin.

Izo ignored the interruption and went on, "…but for a rookie crew, and a small rookie crew at that! They barely have over 50 members and the connections are mostly through the officers."

"It's unbelievable that by pure chance a small crew comprised of all rookies would have three connections to our crew, and two connections to the Redhair Pirates …."

"Make that three to the Redhair brats." Whitebeard grumbled as he interrupted Speed Jiru.

"Who else then pops?" Vista looked over his fellow crewmates. "We know that this Sogeking fellow, Usopp, is son of Yasopp, the brother of Marco. Their captain is Ace's little brother."

"The third connection is the long lost daughter of Red hair himself." Swigging down some sake, Whitebeard braced himself to continue. "There is another connection to us, though, to Ace."

        "What!"

Looking back at what would be called "the spitting fireball incident", everyone decided not to tell Ace some surprising news as he is drinking rum.

        To be continued …..

        A/N=

I gave Yasopp the epithet of Chaser based on info in the Green Databook that revealed a cut scene from Water 7 story where Usopp talked to Garp. According to translations Usopp asks Garp if Yasopp is still alive. Garp figures out who Usopp is and says that Chaser Yasopp is well then told Usopp to look after his grandson. I'm hoping that Chaser is a nickname and not a family name because it doesn't fit Usopp … Davinci would be a better family name due to the fact that Usopp is a great artist and known for odd and advanced weaponry. And yes it's inspired by the great artist and inventor, Leonardo Da Vinci.

That's kind of cool, I'd like to see a futuristic sort of thing set in the same universe where pretty much everywhere has caught up technologically to what Vegapunk is capable of and seeing how the entire dynamic of the world changes. Only the tip-top pirates could do anything since Pacifista level drones would be everywhere, but that might make things boring, come to think of it. I think One Piece might just work best in the era in which it's set. But I wouldn't mind seeing things happening further in the past. A prequel series might actually be better…hmm...ideas...

I wrote a two-parts series for the Charlotte Family, generally compatible with canon, for anyone who want their complete backstory and are interested in reading about how Linlin’s crew became the yonko crew Big Mom Pirates in the present day.

Summary: Charlotte Linlin wasn’t always an Emperor, and it was not so easy growing up or surviving as children of a neglectful pirate mother. This was the beginning before Big Mom Pirates fame.

Part I. As a Charlotte Child
Is darker and recounted the earlier years of the older children in chronological order. The origin of “Sweet Commanders” is also here.

                  Part II. Family Album
Independent stories centered around the younger children, detailing different events that eventually turn an uninhabited archipelago into the Tottoland Empire.

I am thinking of creating a story about Koby's adventures as sort of a counter-point to Luffy's adventures with multiple story arcs already in my mind.

My hesitation is that I could never create it on par with what Oda has done. And with any fanfic there are the pitfalls of people feeling any character taken from the source material is being mischaracterized and any original character is likely to be perceived as "Mary Sue"ish.

And yet, by necessity, Koby needs at least 3 original character to fill out his squad and all antagonists would either need to be pulled from the story, likely creating plotholes, or original– in which case either they will come across as bad or simply no one will care.

I don't envy those who have to create One Piece movies or filler arcs.

I was. It was pretty fun to write fanfiction especially One Piece fanfiction, i used to write about my own characters together with Heart Pirates, Red Hair Pirates and others. Also i wrote One Piece ff in different universe i mean school-life but sadly i didn’t finish it  . Ah back then i made 2 oneshots, first was about Law and my character (it was a romantic ff lol), second was for an event and about Luffy-Sabo came to Ace’s grave (all i can say it was pretty sad i even cried when i was making it lol).
I think i will start to write and continue my stories that i didn’t finish.

A weirdo indeed. You don't wanna know me, dear.
                      Just don't.
