Since it is an actual discussion on the spoiler thread: How old are you?
I am 29 and started with One Piece in 2002, as 14 years old - So more than my half life I am living with One Piece…
Edit: Typo in the poll. Some Mod can change this?

Hehe I am 44 I started young and I am still young.
33 here, watched one piece from the beginning up to mock town. ( that’s as far as the anime had gotten)
Read the manga exclusively after that point.
Why can't I see who voted? I want to see how old Nilitch is… that damn cocky youngster. Young people thinking they are special with all that hair in their head...
weeps

I'm a youngster too, but I'll never lose my hair!
(Nor I will stop being a youngster).
23. Joined back in 2009, just before my 15th birthday.
….wow time flies.

Totaly the same of you, in France…
I started animes with goldorak, at the early beginning of 90's ^^
That moment when you make a joke about "old people in their late twenties" and everyone starts giving their age for some reason–-
23. Ever since the debut of One Piece on 4Kids TV so 2004?
I am 28 ..hehehe
31 years old now. started following OP 13 years back in 2005 as a teenager in localized version, Alabasta Arc. Since then, I dropped out of University, readmitted into another, completed my degree, got married, completed my professional papers, got three kids, and Luffy & Co only aged 2 years older.
Remembered skimming through MSN groups for spoilers and scanlations before finding my way here at APforums. Those were the days.
I'm 22, and have been into One Piece since 2012. Took a break for a couple years, but I'm trying to catch up again.
Hmmm I remember a thread dealing with age before… but that was ages ago and many, many pages and no poll.
I like the idea of a new thread since old thread had members that no longer here and was too much to go through.
For the record, I'm one of the oldest here. Before I think there was only 2 others around my age. I can't remember their names, I think one is gone now and The other started with an 'U'. I got two names in mind but not sure if either is who I'm thinking of.
I just turned 48. Goes to show you're never too old for manga.

I stand corrected, there WAS a poll on the old page, but its closed and was so dated, back to 2013, so ages have changed the results around.
What a beautiful gaussian Distribution curve. I'm 34. I started with OP around 2003, have read it regularly til volume 41, and then started to lurk here and there.
I remember my first Spoiler was 440 (reveal of BB's DF) and I remember it was like the xmas-break.
Some time later you had to make an account here to see Spoiler threads, so that was when I joined APF.

Exactly, remembering registering due to this.

Though I think I was on a german Forum first. There I already said BB will become a Yonkou (vol45 cover said so) and People responded :"He can't become a yonkou, he is already a shichibukai!"
Ah, the ol' days…
Anyway, I've already stated my age on this forum many times. If people, and eventually my EnN3m1Z, wanna know more about me–- I'm studying philosophy and history at the university of Paris. And I'm spending most of my time between the library and the theatre. Also, I eat lots of cheese and drink more wine than the average French. I'm actually drinking my third glass of daily red wine as I'm writing this. An---d it's a delicious wine. Château Vernous, 2015. Lucky me, my roommates are always bringing me daily supplies of good wine
Haha wow I don't think it's possible to be a bigger French stereotype, I am very impressed.
I'm 23 just graduated uni. The forum is getting quite old so I guess it makes sense for the average age to be a bit older
Cool thread, haha. I am 23, finished my Master's last year, enrolled into Medicine in the meantime but then applied for a PhD scholarship and I guess I will start working on it in September. I am a Bioengineer, by the way. Began watching OP dubbed on TV when I was 12/13, around a decade ago. How time flies indeed. Then it changed into japanese version with subs and then it stopped airing so I had to go online and watch streams up to Thriller Bark's beginning. Then for some reason I insisted on watching the anime weekly even though I read the manga from the beginning all the way to the current anime episode. But by that point the anime had already become so unbearable that I switched to reading the manga weekly during Sabaody. What a time to catch up! I started on One Manga. Then Mangastream, which used to have forums and where I staunchly defended Jinbe during the Fishman Island new crewmate wars. When MS forums were taken down, I moved here. Not a bad choice

I'm 20, and I'm bald by the way.

I've been following the weekly issues since I was 11. I guess we're all gonna feel weird when it will be all over. This forum and all the others will vanish
I also studied Philosophy for several years, then switched to German and Russian Literature, finishing my masters degree at the moment. Really admire French philosophy, read Descartes, Bergson, Sartre, Camus, Deleuze, Derrrida - but never in French to admit. I now want to drink wine with you in Paris^^

I also got three kids: two sons, who are 7 and 6 and are crazy with devilfruits, never watched the anime, but saw me reading and asked what’s it about… never imagined to pass this fantasy story to them, when started it myself (I really thought, this manga would wrap up before my midtwenties. So naive.
I'm 25 and joined in 2014 after like 2-3 years of lurking around. I used to watch the anime when I was a child (RTL 2 after school, fellow germans probably can relate), but eventually forgot all about it. Then I rediscovered anime & manga for myself when I was around 19 and got back into OP specifically when the manga had just started the Punk Hazard arc.
22, Joined in 07. After about a year of lurking and the member of this forum CosmicDebris posting on another forum about Arlong Park, I joined. I started reading the manga about 2 years earlier in 05 on the MSN site after learning about One Piece in '04 from the 4kids dub.

I guess that no one can really dislike Camus.
The philosophers that influenced me the most would be Hobbes, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer, Baltasar Gracian and Michel Foucault. And I'm a fan of Plato's dialogues of course.
I hate Sartre though
I'm 19. I've noticed that I don't tend to meet a lot of people younger than me in my online communities, even ones I've been a part of for a long time. The new people just tend to be older than me, lol.
Someone of the german speaking minority is familiar with former all-blue.de/piratenboard.de?
I'm 17, discovered One Piece when I was 9 thanks to the anime. Before that, the only manga I was into was Naruto.
I started reading scans when I caught up with the latest episodes (a good decision), around 2012.
I'm 27, started reading OP back when I was about 16 so I guess it's been quite a while already.
It certainly doesn't feel that long though.

What do you expect, we only progressed 2 years-ish in-story and the bulk of it off-screen.
37, came here when I was 23 but I'm still young, sarcastic, cynical and cocky at times but still a nice guy.
I know there are lots of folks above 25 and 30 around here. But honestly, there seems to be a lot of persons under 21 who are too scared to state their age. There is no way that we're only 8…
im 19

I imagine most younger members stay in the anime/manga part of the forum.
Haha, some of you guys are OLD.
25 here. I'm about middle-of-the-pack compared to the people I hang out with on here. Maybe a few more pals who are older than younger.
I'm relatively a latecomer to One Piece; I started reading it not quite three years ago at age 22, and got caught up in the chapter in Zou where we found out about the Tea Party wedding.
28 years old now and start following OP since 2005 as a teenager.
I'm 32, been into One Piece since around 2002, back in High School!
I'll be 33 next month, watching One Piece since 2003 and reading since 2006. Man, has it really been that long … Seems like yesterday since i started visiting this site regurlarly when Enies Lobby started.
i'm 29 i will be 30 next march
i watched one piece for the first time back in 2001 when i was 12 on
Italia1
man i feel so nostalgic when i hear this opening
good old days
I'm 38
Started One Piece way back somewhere when it was first shown in the UK. My mind is a blank of which year but certainly early 2000's at least.
Someone of the german speaking minority is familiar with former all-blue.de/piratenboard.de?
Yea hi, I joined the pirateboard back in 2003 and was Mod and even Admin for a little while with my nick Strohhut-Ruffy. Maybe we know eachother? I was active there until abou 2006 if I remember right, even wrote guides and summaries for all-blue.de
@ topic: I'm 29 right now. Life keeps getting faster.
edit: added quote
Started reading OP when the Internet was going nuts about Marineford. What finally pushed me to read OP was someone said "Well, Oda just killed his Hitsugaya." (talking about characters who were really high in popularity polls, and that Oda just outright killed him)
The OP community's grown a lot. There's a lot more avenues to discuss it, and it's become a pretty popular anime to react to on Youtube.
That moment when you realize you've been reading OP for about half your life and started watching it even before that.
27. I got into One Piece in mid-2003 when I was 11. Though, I discovered it in late 2002 after I moved to Germany when I was at my cousin's house who had the first volume. I didn't think much, since I didn't understand German yet, except that Nami was drawn weird. One of my cousin's friends talked about how awesome the series was and it got me curious. By the time the anime started airing, I'd learned some German and started watching it and loved it. Bought the first volume soon after and for my birthday that year I got volumes 2 and 3 from my mom and 27 from some friends. I didn't get the rest of the volumes up to like 32 or 31 until '04 or early '05 after saving up birthday money. It took all I had to not just read volume 27 in the meantime.
Joined here in 2009 when I was 18, because of spoilers, I wanted an Egnlish community and piratenboard.de rules needed you to write more than one sentence in a post and I was way too lazy to do that every post, especially in German.
i am 30 last march
I'm 31, I had my birthday on 29 March xD
I'm 20, turning 21 on July the 15th
I'm 30. I started One Piece pretty much at the same time as I joined these forums in early 2007. It's hard to believe that back then I was in high school (my last semester) and now I'm 30. My the time flies.
Forever young hehe
