Todd Howard has seemingly gone insane and quite frankly I'm pretty fond of it.
E3 2018 Thread: Nintendo, You're My Only Hope

Okay, this got a laugh out of me.
-
Jeff Gerstman has informed me that games for Alexa actually exist.
Pac Man is one of them.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
IRL West Virginia is basically post-apocalyptic.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Bethesda has gotten sick of all their shit getting leaked three weeks before E3 and decided to just announce every game they're going to release over the next decade.
-
I'd give this conference a Todd/10.
-
Todd Howard wins E3

I loved that Pete Hines called out Walmart Canada on that lol

High Rock?

High Rock?
The options are High Rock, Somerset, or the Black Marsh. It doesn't match the description of any of the other provinces we haven't been to since Arena.
I'm hoping for Black Marsh but it's probably High Rock.
-
I don't know shit bout Bethesda but that Todd guy is a good host.
How does one preorder a free game tho?
-
Holy shit, Metal Wolf Chaos remastered.
So far this is the only thing at E3 worthy of hype so far.
-

I'm a hopeless fanboy. I just wanted the next game in the series. Didn't care much about the province. Pretty sure VI won't be out in the next year and a half though.

Ok, New Wolfenstein and Doom both got me excited.
Damnit E3… you always hurt future Rin's bank account...
-
The biggest surprise of this E3 so far has been Shadows die Twice.
It's nice to know that FromSoftware can actually create something other than the repetitive Dark Souls games with the same repetitive tone and scenario. Good on them for trying out something else instead of pandering to its crappy fanbase and recycling Dark Souls.

It is Souls again, but it has more mobility options compared to how stale DS3 and to a lesser extent Bloodborne presented themselves. From the way the camera is set in favor of 1 vs 1 encounters, down to parries, opening doors and how your character dies its Souls to a T. It is nice though to have finally some new twists to the formula that don't just amount to either replacing shields or adding kinda pointless special attacks. The grapple thing looks promising and the combat does seem to have more than just dodge rolling and simple light/heavy attacks, hopefully the level design will return to some of its former heights. We'll see how it turns out.
DMC5 despite some detractors finally showed up and it seems to borrow heavily from DMC4 combat from the little we've seen, which is good but that game had so many little "accidental" techs that with a new engine and all i wonder if they will carry over.
-
I was talking about the direction of the game and how it doesn't like one-note like the typical Fromsoftware game with the same "world has gone crazy" bs scenario and looks more colourful.
The gameplay looks similar, but seems far more dynamic and doesn't seem to boil down to "attack, roll, dash rinse and repeat" formula that started with Demon Souls and has been in Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. It actually seems to play competently which is a massive improvement over what FromSoftware did before.
-
Ok, New Wolfenstein
Hope this game feels less like an expansion pack add on like New Colossus.
-
Games I'm looking into:
- Devil May Cry V~~: The Phantom Pain~~
- Jump Force
- Sea Of Solitude
- Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
- Resident Evil 2 Remake
-
KH3 looked awesome, glad to see more clips in English.
And DMC5! It's always been a series I've tried to get into, but I couldn't finish any of the games when I had the HD collection.
-
Didn't expect a new Battletoads, can I preorder it from Gamestop?
I used to work at a GameCrazy (a different chain)…..the amount of phone calls and walk ins we had asking for preorders.....those were dark times.
-
Bethesda seemed to have a good conference, glad to see ES VI is at least in development.
-

And yet that meme singlehandedly revived the franchise. Crazy.
-
So far I'm excited for cuphead, halo infinite and battletoads…never got to play the original one
-
So, today's a Busy day.
Squeenix at 10am PT
Ubisoft at 1pm PT
Misc. PC at 3pm PT
and Sony at 6pm PTAll could potentially contain reveals that are relevant to my interests.
Prepare for a wave of reveals lol.
-
I might want to watch Square-Enix. However, I probably won't watch the others. I realize my interests are very narrow. Last year's Sony conference did nothing for me, even though I am a content, happy owner of a PS4.

Limited Run Games is also having a conference at noon PT.

Exam's are finished, caught up on my E3 stuff.
Flipped through EA's. I love Battlefield, I love FIFA, but that was not a good presentation.
Microsoft showed a lot of good stuff. Good presentation. However, I'm still fourth-generation Playstation owner, never played Gears, never played Halo, and they didn't really show me anything that personally for me would make me consider buying an Xbox. Rest is third party. But, as a conference, good stuff. Excited for Shadows Die Twice and that Jump game.
Bethesda. I'm not into Fallout so having too watch so much of it isn't for me.
Given what Microsoft showed, not expected a lot from Sony in terms of third party. However, I own Playstation for the first-party games, and they got a plenty of those coming: Death Stranding, Spider-man, possibly Ghosts of I Forgot The Rest, Last of Us 2 etc. Will probably show Call of Duty.

You need to watch the Devolver Digital press conference.

You need to watch the Devolver Digital press conference.
Erh, flipped quickly through it. You know, I'm gonna need to see some reviews and opinions on it if I'm going to watch it entirely. It looks like something that can either be entertaining or cringe-worthy - and I'm not a fan of cringe.
-
Devolver Digital is a magical company that had the best presentation last year.
-
At most, today I'm looking forward to Ubisoft for any new stuff on Beyond Good & Evil 2, and Sony, mainly for Read Dead 2.
-
I'm hoping for a Mortal Kombat 11/XI reveal, personally.
-
Not excited for ESVI since skyrim was just a huge watered down bore compared to its predecessors, but sign me up for a new DOOM!
-
New Tomb Raider trailer.
-
As I expected, more Tomb Raider.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Can they at least forget Just Cause 4?
-
Shadow of the Tomb Raider continuing to look great in my opinion.
-
Ah, damn, got confused. I'm in the Berlin timezone, not Helsinki!
-
Babylon's Fall looked neat.
-
It looks like Platinum's A team.
-
Nier for Xbox again.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Octopath Traveller. I hope this gives more space for Nintendo tomorrow.
-
Just Cause 4, to be $2.50 every Steam sale in two years.
-
What is going on now?
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
The Quiet Man, world's greatest hero.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
The same trailer again.
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Holy shit, Remy!
-
New Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer.
-
Wow that happened.
-
….Was that it? Really?
-
So…should Microsoft and Sony and Nintendo just do the conferences?
Cause it really looks like everyone else (cept Bethesda) has jack shit to show.
-
No FF7 or even TWEWY Remix.
LMAO!
-
Maybe there's some stuff in the Sony conference.
-
Cause it really looks like everyone else (cept Bethesda) has jack shit to show.
Ubisoft only showed like 2 games so far, so I think it's worthy the time.
-
New Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer.
It was actually mostly the one from Microsoft's conference, just with a few extra scenes. I think this is what aired at the orchestra event the other day, because they mentioned content that was shown here.
