Holy crap! New animated version of Fist of the Northstar is currently being made and among the voices will be (easy fanboys) SHIBASAKI KOU!
"Who's that?"
Ok fine, or as she's known in America 'that psycho girl from Battle Royale'

Oh SHIT!!
Can't say I've seen Battle Royale.
I do think Fist of the North Star is a great series, but I got really pissed when the channel I watched it on canned it. <_<
Can't say I've seen Battle Royale.
http://www.thegrandline.com/battleroyale.html that may help
Thanks (damn those images are creepy!)

Hokuto no Ken, I remember watching it when I was little.
Who'll she play?
No idea! Can't wait to find out!
Hokuto no Ken, I remember watching it when I was little.
Now you can watch it again when you're big.
I really hope they make a Souten no Ken/Fist of the Blue Sky anime….(prequal to Fist of the North Star). I used to read the English Raijin Comics version...until it got cancelled.
I really wanted to know what happened....

Who'll she play?
She'll voice a new character, called Reina.
Houjou Tsukasa (author of City Hunter) will design her.
Abe Hiroshi will voice Kenshirou.
It will be 5 parts and will come out gradually up to Spring 2008. The first one will come out on Spring 2006.
wow that's cooll. i've only seen like 1 episode of this but thast still neato
From what I can tell the new OVA is going to center around Raoh.
I hope the manage to include some of the awesome Rei moments in there somewhere aswell.
Fist of the North Star is the only anime my dad ever liked (he was actually the one that got me into the series when I saw the movie)
Shibasaki Kou!!! I have to watch it. I am such a blatant fangirl for her, it's a little embarrasing (sp). I only have her first album, but my friend Yuki (who is also obsessed) said her new CD is out too. She has a beautiful voice, I can't wait to see this.
2006 - 2008? I'll be an old man. :(
After I saw the original Hokuto no Ken, I downloaded what seemed to be two of a series of well rendered (with CG and great artwork) episodes of Hokuto no Ken. Has anyone heard or seen these? I don't know where those two episodes are…maybe gone? But I remember I was really surprised to see a "modern" rendition of Hokuto no Ken when I was expecting the old original.
Yes, I've seen them as well. It was really cool to see (and hear). They're now available on DVD.

What's it called?
I need to re-get my hands on the Hokuto no Ken: The Really Cool To See and Hear version!
Simply New Fist of the North Star.

Thank you :) .
Do you know if they changed any parts of the story? Or anything?
It starts out differently from the old anime. In the original, he met Zeed first, but here, he goes to this town where a man is exploiting a child's healing powers in order to make people do his bidding.
Off topic but god I love PunchMania, the awesome arcade game of Hokuto no Ken. And it's freakin' addicting I might add. My poor wallet…
Edit
PunchMania's a rhythm game. There are six pads your are supposed to punch in given order. It's really hectic during finishing moves.

The new anime is based off the novels that continue the adventures of Kenshiro after the original manga.
The new ova is pretty good, but it lacks inconsistentcy in the bad guys sizes and a highly quotable dub.
Nice. B) I can never get enough Hokuto no Ken (seen both first & second series, movie, and the OAV).
