The movie theme sounds allright. I still like mabushikute (SP?) and Sailing day better. Is it just me or is the singer using "Oira" as his I pronoun? I've always wondered what that meant…...

^ singer_s_ :eng101: And yeah, 'oira' is used in really slangy kansai-ben.
I have a… less-LQ version of the song here from Rekomen, but it's in mono and I don't really want to rip it like that :s
Singers! Singers! I only heard one initally so i put singer. Sorry. Kansai ben? Sparkles Chopper style Whats that?

Kansaiben is the Kansai dialect.

I see….well to save this topic from going off the deep end i'll start a new thread somewhere else. (Has a bajillon more questions.)

wow. movie 7 looks freakin' awesome. i hope it's as good as or better than movie 6, which is still the best for me by far. the scriptwriter is the same man behind movie 6 so i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
i know it's a month away till the premiere and we non-japanese won't get a chance to see it until the raw comes out or til it's subbed, but how long usually does it take for a new movie to get properly subbed? a month? 2 months? 3 months.. or is it random? i got movie 6 pretty quick, but i still can't find movie 5 even until now.
I hope it isn't Resident Evil.. like movie 6

its subbed too?! ah man i hate bittorent >.>
(wishes someone were be greatful and put it up for direct download but im only dreaming, too bad it isnt on irc either ;-;)

That was more Silent Hill to me. I thought it had a good vibe to it at the end, if nothing else. For me, seeing the characters not really be their normal anime/manga selves on occasions is sort of refreshing, but only because I'm a little messed up in the head.
I don't think one about a mecha would be in the same vein. Seems more like Movie 5 but with futuristic ideas instead of mystical ones.
w00t! newer better LONGER trailer at gerusama's site! XD
fanboys will love it because it shows Robin in a skimpy white dress.
Hm…it´s not new... it was aired with the OP special around december
The opening sounds like a Spanish song…
It doesn´t sound like that for me… isn´t there a better version yet?
Um…. with only two henchmen, I don't see a chance for Usopp kicking much ass ;__________;
i felt like i posted in the wrong thread so i quoted myself here
@d.Lughie:
I realized the animation in movie 6 compared to the other movie(including movie 7 trailer) is different.. is the animation in movie 6 done by a different groups??
but i gotta admit i prefer the animation in movie 6 than in any other OP movie..

heh heh, that dress does keep me entertained
The artwork is not that good :( (not like special 4 which was perfect)
 I don't know what kind of eye pupils you're using to look through, but the animation quality looks almost the same, maybe even a little more polished the Movie 4.
It kinda always bugged me when Anime movies are done they use a defferent animation then the actual series, but I guess thats just a tradition and an excuse to do something new.
It's always Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji who get all the cool scenes in the movies. Sure, Usopp had his shining moments in Clockwork Island and Dead End Adventure, but I guess Toei wants to focus more on Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro.
Actually in movie 5 he had a lot of air time though he didnt do much except
! find those jewl things
and in movie 6 he:
! defeated that one old guy winning the one event
though sanji zoro and luffy also get more scences.

I meant the artwork. The animation was very good.

Actually, that's done because they have to use another animation house for the movies so they don't have to put the series on hold. Personally, I like it. sometimes I don't like the styles as much as the regular stuff, but the animation quality is always high and I find it fun to see other styles at work. This one's pretty close to the series.
Crossbones at K-F saw the movie today. He's going to put up a review soon. But he had this to say:
Ok. I saw the movie this morning at the premier. I'll put up a brief review, pics and scans later. Basically, it was ok. Not great. But if I could describe it with just one word, it would be…
breasts.
Oh my.
LOL. This does not surprise me from the trailers. XD
^ .. cant wait to see it .. waiting for the AVI
Crossbones' review from the K-F forum:
Movie 7 review Note: contains some mild spoilers. Beware.
This was the premiere of Movie 7 at the Toei movie theater in Ginza. I went to the show after the opening one with the seiyu and all that 'cause I didn't win a spot. Too bad. The line was around the block and probably 85-90% of the people were female. Woohoo! Chicks….with taste. Yeah..so anyway, they all go in and at that time the dudes dressed up as the strawhats walk in from another door. I'm pretty sure they were the same ones from Jump Festa last Nov. The Robin costume looks great. So I was close to the front of the line for the next showing and...it happens every year at the premier: There's some crazy guy who talks loudly to himself and generally freaks people out. This one guy was dressed in black plastic pants and jacket carrying around what looked like a 25 year old Sony cassette walkman. When we got into the lobby to wait he proceeded to read from the program out loud, read the seating signs, food signs....any sign, out loud. And I mean loud. Then he'd pester the staff.
M7CG (M7 Crazy Guy) - "What time does the seating begin?"
Staff - " Hmm. In about 20 minutes."
M7CG - "20 minutes?"
Staff - "Yes. 20 minutes."
M7CG - "Ahh. 20 minutes. So, we can go in, in about 20 minutes?"
Staff - "......um..Yes."
M7CG - ".................20 minutes?????"
Staff - "Right."
M7CG - ".....I love One Piece. I read the manga for years and TV and...."
You get the idea. Anyway this dude was bugging the hell out of me and I was really hoping that the crazy guy from the Movie 6 premiere would show up to battle this guy, just to keep him busy or something. And lo and behold M6CG charges in talking up a storm....to himself....loudly. I was like, "Oh yeah. Let's get it on!" The thing is, M6CG only talks to himself and draws kanji in the air. Now M7CG does that too, but he also talks to real people....loudly. Anyway, after about 10 minutes of these lunatics criss-crossing the lobby, they finally meet up and started talking. Did you ever see Time Cop? You can't occupy the same space as your future or past selves or you implode. A similar thing happened here. They were the same side of the same coin. Well, M6CG couldn't handle it and bolted downstairs like his life depended on it. Score 1, M7CG. Damn. To add insult to injury, M6CG later cut in front of me in line. Bastard. After he failed to take out M7CG! I would have said something but he was busy writing invisible stuff on the wall with wis finger. Yeah. Best not to interrupt, eh?
Ok. On to the jugs fest...I mean movie. OMG, I gotta tell ya...alright, later on that. They showed the Jump commercial from last year right before the movie. It shows Luffy and Chopper jumping(get it??? huh?huh??) from mountain peak to mountain peak while a skyfish tries to eat them. They end up with a ton of gold at the end, Chopper jumping up and down throwing gold coins in the air. It'a a great ad. How hard would it be to put it on DVD fer cryin' out loud?
The movie. The Opening title has gone back to the generic style as opposed to the REAL movie-like opening in Movie 6. That was a let down right off the bat. No nuance in THIS flick. The animation is very good though. I really liked the character design. I looks the closest to the manga art than any other movie, imo. The action and movements of the characters are good. On the downside, a lot of the backgrounds suck. But I'm probably being to picky.
Goro from SMAP does a very good job as the voice of the main villain. Oh, and as mentioned in the music thread yesterday, Chopper's voice is done by the sub, Ikura Kazue, not Ohtani Ikue. Bummer. I still can't get used to her voice. But then, Chopper does almost nothing in this movie anyway. No action for the little guy, that's for sure. Zoro gets some cool moves, Sanji gets to fight a little, Nami and Usopp do pretty much nothing too. Robin was very useful though.
The story almost doesn't matter. This old lady tells them there's gold on this island and of course there's an ulterior motive. Her genius son is there creating an ultimate plan, with different little mechs he built to keep people busy through the story. I wont say the ending. It's kind of interesting. It's a much lighter story than the past.....heck, all of the movies. The bad guy's punishment at the end is mild at best **SPOILER **
he gets spanked by his mother**.
That does make it kind of unique. And in no way do you ever feel the crew is seriously threatened. Each strawhat member dispatches his opponent with ease. Pretty safe stuff. Kind of like a TV special. There is a lot of action though, particularly in the last third of the film and it's done well.
Right. Enough with all that. Let's talk about the breastival of bouncing boobs. So, after the title, you see Nami on deck, and she moves. Her cans perform some serious secondary animation, bouncing up and down. So I was like, "Huh. They've never done that before. Isn't that nice?" Then the next scene they bounce again, big time. And the next scene and the next scene…and so on. I mean this was just blatant. Gratuitous would be an understatement. I'm pretty sure she blinked one time and they started bobbing up and down. About the first third to half of the movie her huge udders are jiggling everywhere at every opportunity. Now me, I got no problem with that, in principle. In fact it's fantastic. Hey, I'm a guy. But it's REALLY distracting. Interestingly, Robin's hooters didn't do that. But they sure were enormous and the director insisted on giving them the spotlight at every turn. They're just .....big...and in your face. Just....wow....I mean...so..yeah.
SO. The movie was so-so to pretty good. The melon factor helped, I'm sure. Music was quite good. I'm looking forward to hearing it in the Enias Lobby arc. Hope they pic the best tracks. They usually do. Oh, and Pandaman sighting. Yay.

How does it stack up against the previous movies? Is it at least better than 3 and 5?
Compared to other movies? Better than M3 and slightly better than M5, mostly because of the great character design and….well...the knockers. M2, 4, and 6 are waaaay ahead of it, imho. M6 just raised the bar too high as far as storytelling, humor and directing. This one falls flat in comparison, which is ironic, since it has a hell of a lot more shading.
Sounds kind of what I was expecting, except I'm surprised it's Chopper's replacement voice in the movie. That's a bummer. It's also disappointing that Usopp doesn't do much and Nami is boob fanservice. Although I admit I can't wait to make a gif of that scene. XD
sigh
I keep wondering when the Water 7 arc will be over. When they can finally put Usopp's new tricks into the movies. And of course, FRANKY.

Lol yeah, I read that too. I don't wanna visualize what the boob scenes may look like >.<;;
Yeah…I hope next movie will finally have some new crew and stuff. ;)
Movie 7 debuted 4th this weekend at the Japanese box office:
Good, especially considering Narnia and Doraemon also debuted. I was actually just thinking that it lo0oks pretty good.
It's awesome!! Someone know the title!?
The title of the movie's theme song? It'd be "Sayaendou" by NEWS.
Thanks Cinder!
Do you know if it's possible to find it somewhere in the web?!
Awesome the themesong!! Anyone know when the movie will be available for download? Pretty far right?
ONE PIECE MOVIE 7 MAIN THEME - Sayaendo x Hadashi no Cinderella Boy
Much much better Quality

Better than M5? That's not saying much. Next to Movie 1, I think M5 was the weakest of the bunch. I actually liked M3.
I'll see this one for the boobs.

The torrent doesn´t work for me, it doesn´t get seeders or leechers. The same goes for the Asu wa kurukara torrent (in his post). Can anyone upload just the mp3 of sayaendo?
Here's the direct download links guys. Get 'em while they're hot(YS doesn't host these forever!^^;;)

Any idea what the song titles mean?
BTW I've only seen OP movies 2-4, but from the sound of it 6 is the best? Can someone PM me a fansub link? I'd like to see it.
SO far I liked 2 the best with 4 as my pic for second best.
So far I've always felt pleased with the Usopp stuff in the movies. He has lots of scene stealing moments, especially in two and three. I honestly expected the directors to completely ignore him,but he's used pretty well I think. And I REALLY want to see USOPPO BOOMERANG make it into the main story! :D
