@parappa:
Don't these dumb stinky investors and such realise that breaks make people want a product more, like how season premiers get huge numbers. Non stop episodes with bad pacing give people fatigue. One piece is so big it probably doesn't even need TV. I bet a patreon type website could get $100,000's a month to produce the anime but better. Or if the anime wasn't so stretched out they could air multiple episodes in cinemas. But those would be very scary things for a company to try, but its what i expect some shows to do in the future as tv becomes more outdated. Or i guess like a netflix contract or something
And that is why every single new season gets fewer and fewer audiences. Why less than a continuation of a series during that same time.
Just because you have the beginning of the season bringing a ton of people it doesn't mean that breaks make people want a product more. Also the point isn't "making people want a product more" but "making more people want a product". And avoid the opposite "making less people want a product".
Patreon website gets 100k per month? Are you saying that for every month One Piece would get easily around 1000 people donating 100$ or 10k people donating 10$ or something like that? I really doubt about that. Don't confuse one time donation, and regular ones.
And what can you do with 100k per month? A single episode of Toei Animation cost that much and is on the lower side of episode costs, that mean is spends around 400k per month. Are you saying that they with 4 times less can do better?
Airing multiple episodes in Cinemas? 6 episodes would be a 2 hour session. Even if you remove the streching and filler from One Piece, you get around 360 episodes, that means you would need 60 "movies" and counting, what other franchise anywhere did you see that got 60 movies in the cinema?
