Yesssss, finally Carrot doing something. Her transformation goes from looking like some wild untamed possessed monster to a KACARROT. I really like that Oda threw in the idea that you train for it, so it seems a bit more earned. I also like how she keeps her personality throughout it.
Would really love to see her evolution on the Strawhats. Maybe eventually learning to turn on this ability without the moon

Though really, Big Mom becoming skinny is the most interesting thing to me in this chapter. Wasn't expecting that to happen, but I can think of a few ways it can go.

So yeah, Luffy/Katakuri break was really just a pointless padding. And what was the point of the scene again? Is Oda afraid of having two chapters without Luffy in a row now? And I'm really not a fan of introducing new characters now. I'll withhold my judgment on Carrot SSJ3 until this portion of an arc ends, but I really wish Oda introduced her mentor/student relationship with Pedro before his "death". BM losing weight is interesting and cannonballs were fun on the positive side of the spectrum.

Yes, that's what I'm referring to: giving Brook, a B&W skeleton, any firm color like black or white is the same as saying a future member will be the opposite color. He really had no choice, but Brook's themed costumes and such have mostly been straight black.

Carrot was…wow, lol. That definitely lived up to the hype. Given that we're dealing with the Big Mom Pirates here, she of course won't deal too much damage, I would think Oda wants to save a little of the impact for when the whole tribe unleashes it on Wano. But maybe...it would lead into a fight with Smoothie??? I won't hold hope for it...just considering it now...
I love the cannonball homies. Their distraction thanks to Big Mom's insanity gives a nice callback to how Nami was able to distract Zeus by feeding him. Not sure what to make of Big Mom getting skinnier

To be more specific, he didn't create holes in his body as before, he actually moved his upper body, but tried to act cool by staying in the same spot.

Boy, that was underwhelming. Not that Carrot's prowess wasn't impressive, but when she started to transform I was expecting far more imaginative from Oda than a freak crossing between Barbie and My Little Pony. When did he start taking his characters so seriously ? :ninja:

And Oda handled it a bit differently in both arcs. In Luffy's triumphant return against Arlong we had half a chapter with a back and forth about Luffy's capability. In this arc the exchange is about two pages. I'm sure when the battle returns to being the chapters' centerpiece we'll see quite a few more developments, which you're never going to have in a little aside unless Oda is taking shortcuts.

The chapter felt very short. Nothing really happened except Carrot turning…more beautiful and mature huh.
I guess I was not the only one who expected some kind of ugly weremonster so this caught me off guard. I kind of like it.
She seems to be faster, stronger, her Electro is buffed as well, also seems to be able to glide.
Then again, she only dealt with subordinates (trash) so it´s hard to gauge how strong she really is based on this chapter alone.
It´s a bit annoying that Daifuku turned into a mere commentator instead of rubbing out his Genie and attacking her.
The most important fact presented in the chapter overall was probably that BM is getting fit.
