I know it is just art, but that top image just makes me curious. Luffy swinging over what I think says "Kepp Out." Under the sign that says "Color Walk," it says "Declaration of War." I think the biggest crutch for the game is how it is being revealed. December showed us that first area which seemed to have mix reactions across the board. Seemed bland, barren, etc. Then screens of the same area trickle. Then we get our first gameplay video in that same area with the player being not that great at it. We get told there will be more areas, but have only seen two images for a second area. But here is another image of Luffy kicking Smoker. Also, the gamae is supposedly coming this year. I don't think they can wait till TGS to show more, but I have no idea where and when they will show a second area, or more in general.

not that appealing so far for me. guess i'll just watch someone's playthrough in youtube later and decide if i want it. did the same with burning blood and ended up not buying it.
i wish that there will be a one piece game which gave me the same hype and excitement which i had with monster hunter world. i counted the day until release for that game.

I don't expect this game to release until the Fall, like around September or October.
The scan above confirms my suspicions. They're going to drip-feed us information and reveal new details over the coming months. -

The thing that kinda irks me about the new scans is that the screen has what appears to be significantly less NPCs than in the concept art. I was fine with the towns not have a bustling environment, but a market in the middle of the city? Now a bit nervous…

This to me is a misstep. I feel like all these chatacters will do is alienate a larger audience. At least other characters represented different factions and seemingly had a purpose. I don't feel like we need or want a cameo fest.

Guess the devs/Oda don't like the idea of Reiju getting beat up by Luffy.

I think they might be optional bosses. Or there's also the possibility that Germa plays a role in the game's story.
There are already other factions gathering on the island for their own reasons, so why wouldn't Germa 66?
Especially if they've hired by the islanders to fight off the other factions.I'm getting more and more eager to see how this all fits together.

Kinda weird to show them over other 'main' chars like jinbe, buggy, etc who have larger roles in one piece. Maybe they're trying to ride the hype wave? There's not that much hype with them though, should've choose the charlottes if they really want to ride the hype (especially 'that' guy).

Those images could use some Reiju and even some Judge, it would be cool to have all the Vinsomekes in the game.
But it really shouldn't be surprising to have the Germa in the game and to have them be revealed soon.
Folks on this forum tend to forget that half of the people who watch OP are kids who haven't seen the whole series so older characters are not that important to them when comparing to the newest ones. And those kids are the main demographic group that will buy this game.
Were the Germa present in any OP game before this one? If not then their presence is a great selling point.Also, the games schedule tends to be closer to the anime than the manga for obvious reasons. Both groups need time to recreate what Oda presented in the latest chapters.
Don't be surprised to see a couple of reveals like Big Mom herself or her top family in a few months, around the same time they get more screen time. -

I am drawn in by the ambition of the game, but the levels feel empty, smoker being so slow to act feels wrong and Luffy having detective vision is.. oh I didn't like it at first, but it's Haki, now I'm on board.
And personal preference: MOVE THE FUCK ON OF THE RETURN TO SHABODY/FISHMAN ISLAND OUTFITS, FFS NAMI GAVE THOSE CLOTHES AWAY AS A PLOT POINT!!!
Seriously, Oda takes the time to desing costumes for each adventure and color spread, and those are much better than these.

There won't be, producer says only Luffy.

The game is tailored around Luffy's abilities, so having other characters playable would be difficult unless:
1 - They put a lot of effort to design the world so each crewmember would be able to traverse with their unique skills, which is frankly unlikely due to how much resources would need to be spent to accomodate 9 different playstyles.
2 - Have a simple world where anyone can traverse, like the Cruise games.

The game doesn't seem to fit in any One Piece canon, even more than any of the Unlimited/Cruise titles. Not what I was expecting considering Kohei is doing the soundtrack.
