Except that I wasn't saying that Brook versus Zeo isn't a good fight. I like for what it is. But it was one of several battles the Straw Hat crew had against a crew of enemies that barely phased them as a way of making them look cool after having trained for two years. Brook hasn't actually gotten an on-panel fight that's pushed him like all of the fights every other crewmate has had outside of Fishman Island.
It's fine to like the fight, but I'm saying that Zeo wasn't that difficult at all for Brook. Let me recount the whole fight from offhand memory:
Brook accidentally steps on Zeo because the latter can use camouflage, Zeo pretends it was on purpose as a gag while Brook doesn't believe him, Zeo uses his chain weight to tear off Brook's head, Brook is unphased because he reveals that he learned about new powers his Devil Fruit has (healing/soul manipulation/freezing), Zeo then screams about how all of the Fishmen need to die in order to have their hatred against humans be eternal, Brook refutes that by saying nothing is left behind when one dies, then Brook takes down Zeo in one attack that freezes him, and Zeo concludes the fight by saying he let himself get hit on purpose.
Brook struggled more in his single clash against against Sheepshead as a diversion for one page before Sanji annihilated him with one Diable Jambe attack.

It's literally a yes-or-no question. Do you consider that fight good? What makes a good fight is entirely subjective and going to differ amongst different people. But if you're claiming it's a good fight, why are you going "he has no good fights except for this good fight he does have".

Well sure a challenging fight would be nice. I don't think a fight has to be challenging to be good though. Hence part of why I consider the FI fights to be good. Cept Franky I don't care for the mecha.

Then we agree. That's good to know. I have no issue with the Fishman Island fights being easy. Battles where a protagonist easily deals with a foe can still be entertaining. Hence Luffy versus Bellamy.
1: why must we be subjected to this pointlessly gruesome padding of Luffy tearing his fucking flesh apart every episode?
2: why doesn't Opera just simply close the book to stop his annoying whining and screaming?
3: why doesn't Luffy just stretch his legs out through the bars and kick Opera with them?
4: Pudding's VA is great and the final scenes with Sanji were well done.
I think Brook is gonna beat Big Mom all by himself next week, you guys

I treat it as yet another sign of growing OP's Luffy-centrism. One that doesn't bother me as much as the others since fights were always the element I cared least about in this series. That's why I can fully enjoy things like Brook vs BM or Pedro vs Tamago as I'd likely get bored if they were shown in full.

(_Fishman Island fights are terrible.
The uses of interesting abilities as hinted at, portrayed and ultimately (weakly) executed are a complete waste of amazing potential when compared to past similar portrayals by Oda.
The fights are what they need to be for the story.
And they serve the story.
But compared to One Piece's history of superb fights in which our heroes must use their wits to overcome no less than 2-3 stages of a villain's bag of tricks, they are a failure.
Despite being what they are, that doesn't make anyone a terrible person for liking them._)

What an emotional episode, they really nailed the scenes with Sanji and Pudding. Holy damn Pudding's voice actress is skilled, that really caught me off guard.
How many SHs actually DID get a fight that was neither one-sided (in either side) nor ended prematurely after the TS? I think it's Luffy and Franky. I treat it as yet another sign of growing OP's Luffy-centrism. One that doesn't bother me as much as the others since fights were always the element I cared least about in this series. That's why I can fully enjoy things like Brook vs BM or Pedro vs Tamago as I'd likely get bored if they were shown in full.
I'm definitely not bothered by it at this point, since it seems clear that the series is moving away from straight on classic dueling to some degree (in other words long, protracted dueling). Luffy does because he must, but otherwise the crew does not have to get assigned designated villains to one-on-one with anymore. It still happens occasionally, but it is more exceptional now. Instead, the series is focusing on getting other non-Straw Hats time to shine and the SHs are doing more back-up and teamwork than before, as are the villains.

The interesting thing about this episode was that was that it was animated…by just one guy. You still had Matsuda and Ichikawa doing their corrections, and TAP doing the thankless in-betweening, but the bulk of the work was still done by only a single guy. I can't remember the last time this happened in One Piece; I know that Yokoyama soloed a few himself way back around the Alabasta era, and a couple of his and Deguchi's relatively more recent episodes have come close, but I don't believe One Piece has had a genuine solo episode in the time I've been paying attention to its production.
So as a result the episode looked okay outside of Ichikawa's ever-present corrections (I wonder what he's going to do when we finally move on from this arc; is he going to choose another character to lavish attention on?). Not great, but okay. And that's fine, since this was a dialogue-heavy episode where the other aspects of the production were more important, and hopefully this'll free up staff to work on other episodes. The direction and storyboarding was solid throughout, and of course the main attraction was listening to Miyuki Sawashiro finally cut loose and go all over the crazy map. I wasn't expecting those two new music tracks either; loved the demented waltz they used for Pudding's theme at the reveal.
A good episode and a good chapter. It was a good week for One Piece.
