@Razh:
Try imagining Urouge's, Sugar's, Brulee's, Jola's or some other weird concept paramecia's awakening.
It's purely impossible that all the paramecia awakenings manifest the same.
It's not really hard to imagine.
Sugar's Awakening would extend to transforming objects into toys. Or bypass her contact limitation by just turning anyone around her into toys. Or both.
Jora is the same. Snap of fingers, everything around her is art. No thought bubble projectile required. Yes, those are broken beyond belief, but Doflamingo already set that precedent.
Essentially, anything that requires touch would completely avoid that limitation. You could just change the environment instantly, like how Doflamingo does with his Awakening.
Urouge converts the pain of other characters around him into strength for himself. Or maybe even convert the damage of broken objects or plantlife into strength for himself.
Brulee can make mirrors appear anywhere instead of just her hands. Thin air, into the floor, etc.

@Seafarer33:
Take Buggy. Definitely not gonna happen, it would be completely unlike him to awaken; but still. If his ability to slice up and control parts of himself was extended to the environment, would it make his DF power a lesser version of the Ope-Ope? And speaking of, can that particular fruit become even more out-of-this-world?
Honestly, awakening reeks of a huge can of worms that I'm not sure I want to see opened at all. I'll be perfectly fine it remains limited to a handful protagonists in the series, and not getting an explanation is fine as well as long as the result is cool and my disbelief remains suspended.
Awakened Ope Ope would have the environment become a Room itself, i.e. no need for the circle anymore.
Alternatively, objects turn into Rooms, giving Law a whole cluster of them to use.
