Chapter 1,022: The Stars Take the Stage
-
Damn great chapter! I'm really looking forward to both of these fights!
-
Guess that's that for the Tobi Roppos. Glad we went out on a high note with Robin's big fight.
And I'm really xcited that Zoro fighting King happened in the end, and might even be a 2v2 with Sanji? Guess we'll see.
Initially I was totally against the idea of Zoro fighting King at first after all that happened up on Roof Piece, it didn't make any sense whatsoever given his injuries. But the medicine, even if it's a justification not everyone will like, absolutely helps justify it, better that than him just fighting King without it. And I have to admit that Zoro just sitting out the rest of the war that early (relatively speaking) would have felt really weird in the long run.
So yea, the specifics of the execution aside, I'm all for Zoro beating King.
-
Since the Tobi Roppo are out for good, and Zoro and Sanji gave King and Queen a direct hit, I expect a post to the effect of “MUH TENSION!” in 3…2…1…
-
Seeing Sanji and Zoro working together is always fantastic. Getting a glimpse of Luffy as King of the Pirates is honestly so exciting. I’m assuming after all the fights are over minus the fight with Kaido, we will see adult Momo finally.

Oda should just do a callback to suddenly seeing Kaido in his full dragon form, where out of nowhere Momo just pulls up to Kaido in his own dragon form lol
-
Those will be the longest 15 minutes on manga history.
-
It was obvious that Zoro would fight King and Sanji would fight Queen from the moment we saw them
-
Loved this chapter so much. I feared early in the raid that it might not actually happen but having Zoro & Sanji face King & Queen on their own got me hyped.
If it remains a 2vs2 until the end even better. That would be more interesting than another Zoro vs #2 and Sanji vs #3 arc. To defeat King in particular, some combination of Sanji's flying ability and Zoro long-range attacks can be nice to see.
As I said in the spoiler thread, I would also love if that battle is the occasion of showing the 2 wings awaken their CoC haki. I know that Zoro is already supposed to have it but what I mean is a conscient use of it with all the cool effects and all + people fainting. Including the zooming effect on their eyes (which would look great since their eyes are "mirrored").
I hope that fight lasts a while with some good back-and-forth. Across 4-5 chapters would be nice.
I'm now wondering about the role for the rest of the crew not in the main area. All that's really left to keep them occupied is to defeat the missing 4 Numbers I guess. Assuming there are a bigger threat than the others. Or maybe something will have to be done to delay the island fall (like how the birdcage was slowed down in Dressrosa) and they will be part of that.
Apoo and Drake are MIA and we still don't know where Izo, Kappa and Denjiro are. Izo and Kappa were supposed to go with Sanji into the main area not too long ago. Strange… Denjiro being with Hiyori seems like a safe bet.
I still want to see Jinbe interact with Jack because I believe there's something to explore with Jack seemingly being ashamed of his fishman origin. Not expecting Inu to lose though.
One random thing I thought of is that we may see Momo as a giant dragon next and we'll be lead to believe he grew up thanks to Shinobu's ability but we'll see him revert back to his child self and get a flashback showing that he didn't need to age himself to grow in his dragon form.
-
There was quite a lot in a single chapter. Almost all the remaining fights had a dedicated page.
The suspense of Zoro recovery was a bit overkill but at least we have a nice double page. I really hope this fight can surpass the groggy ring one which is among my favorite.I'm not sure Oda will continue with this fight immediatly. He may want to keep it for the end and solve the other ones. Once again he hinted about King race so will it have an importance now or later ?
Also we have the start of the timer but 15 minutes sounds awefully short
-
Even after this chapter, I still feel the Tobiroppo are getting up. This won't be a prediction that I'll fight over (unlike the Big Mom Pirates arriving), since maybe the SHs that fight now won't have their own fights in Act 4, but I still find the way the Tobiroppo were defeated kinda suspicious. We never got that post-battle moment to show their status and their opponents that usually follows a main match. Also, even the pictures in this chapter leave me suspicious: Who's Who and Sasaki are still in their hybrid forms, as if clinging to consciousness, and Black Maria seems like a emotionless doll rather than a passed-out person. I may be imagining things here, letting my bias overcome my senses, but that's what I feel.
Now, for Sanji & Zoro vs. Queen & King, I'm hoping it's a true 2v2 fight rather than two 1v1s. I'd love to see banter from both sides and opponent swapping before we settle for the final stretch of the battle. Lots of opportunity for Sanji and Zoro to learn tricks from one another, as well as having combo attacks from both sides. It seems we are in for this fight the rest of the volume, which probably ends in 1025. So the fight could go as this:
1,023: Phase 1 of the fight, lots of banter, combo attacks and DON moments.
1,024: Phase 2 of the fight. This is the "villains turn", when the heroes are in for a real struggle. Opponent swapping: Zoro vs. Queen, Sanji vs. King for a brief moment, then settling in Zoro vs. King and Sanji vs. King.
1,025: Final phase. Zoro and Sanjo bring their best moves to end their opponents. The problem with this is… What about Act 4? Will Zoro and Sanji (or at least Zoro, because he's already all broken inside) don't get fights there? Will they move on to the Yonko? Or will this fight actually be delayed for Act 4 instead and not happen as I imagine above?
Anyway, Neko vs. Perospero is the key to find out if there's an Act 4 or not. I feel Act 4 is intrinsically connected to Big Mom's plans, and it will start with her children arriving. I want to see what Perospero will do when cornered by Nekomamushi. If Neko defeats Perospero in a very definitive way, I may let go of that prediction, but I don't think that's what will happen.
-
The chapter was pretty good and I really liked the final double page with Zoro and Sanji.
Can't wait for next week! -
Thinking about it, it's not like defeating Kaido at the 14:59 mark is the solution for saving the capital since wouldn't the island fall as soon as Kaido is unconscious ? The situation seems a bit different than any other with time limits we had in the past.
I'm doubting that the time limit was written by Oda to say exactly how long the remaining fights will last.
It looks more like something to keep the others busy while the big fights happens like the bomb plot in Alabasta.
I know that Momo mastering the cloud creation power he has to save the island is a popular theory but I think we're missing something to figure out Oda's plan.
-
It’s not 15 minutes to defeat Kaido.
It’s 15 minutes for Momo to arrive and hold Onigashima in the air. Then the real Kaido fight may begin. -
The sound effect when big garfield beats up Peros is just the best. Gets across just how hard that sweet sex criminal just got smacked. Hopefully he'll be the focus of the next chapter and they'll hold off on the S and Z fireworks until Luffy and Momo have really begun sky battling Dado
-
I still want to see Jinbe interact with Jack because I believe there's something to explore with Jack seemingly being ashamed of his fishman origin. Not expecting Inu to lose though.
I think Raizo's speech about the scabbards and their motives is curious, especially the panels Oda used to enhance it.
Kinemon / Kawamatsu ("It was not his order to us, not a mere duty")
The scabbards who took care of Oden's children, Momonosuke and Hyori, unrequestedCatviper / Denjiro ("each of us chose to follow our emotions")
The hothead Duke and the man consumed by rageIzou ("and carry out this mission of our own free will")
The scabbard who abandoned Wano, but came back to defend it out of his own volitionand finally
Dogstorm / Ashura ("If we must die to accomplish that, so be it")
One currently lies in his own blood after throwing himself onto a living bomb, while the other. Yeah, how does Dogstorm fit in there?Maybe Oda didn't know where to place him to visually enhance the dialogue… or it forshadows Dogstorm losing / "dying" / sacrificing himself against Jacku.
I'm also rooting for Peros here! Fight me!
Edit 2: And also Hawkins! I never understood this weird fixation on Killer. At least Hawky looks fancy, even if he didn't get much Supernova-love from Oda.
-
Sanji spacate sent me to gigglyland. He could lipsync in any episode of RPDR anytime.
Transitional chapter dedicated to remind us of what's next, so there's not much to talk about. I just have 03 wishes: (I) the fights should end in the reverse order they were introduced this chapter; (II) that Hawkins SOMEHOW pose as a threat and not just a defenceless pincushion; (III) that Marco's role isn't over - I DEMAND a hybrid form, do with that what you may, Oda-sama.
-

I have heard about this, lonely women taking an interest in felons, out of misplaced pity or other such noble notions. But make no mistake the candy man deserves a short fall with a quick stop

My top 3 wishes at this point (several were already granted, like Robin & Jinbe focused chapters):
1. Sanji getting a good fight, no bullshitting this time. I would rather have him fight Queen seperately, but I'm open to this tag team as well.
2. The Big Mom Pirates doing something. Anything. Or maybe just Smoothie.
3. Nami's role in this war being salvaged, if that's possible.

I like how Peros claims things would have gone fine if Sanji had "married" Pudding, despite the fact the party was a Red Wedding and Sanji was always going to die if that plan went through. Good for him to get a paw smack from my fave cat and slap him to the outside of Onigashima.
Sanji and Zoro vs King and Queen. Going to be fun with the dialogue of these four insulting one another.
-
Daaaaang, Sanji kicked the SHIT out of Queen on the last page there. I can almost never figure out wtf is going on in manga fights and even I winced at that one. Please, Oda, actually draw clear panels for this fight without a bunch of background scribbles making it impossible to parse. I haven't been this excited about a teamup fight since Zoro & Usopp v. Kaku & Jabra.
-
Um…did these fights get the power scaling in reverse? Ulti got up after getting her insides nuked by lightning, after getting KOed by Yamamoto, and she seemed to know haki. While one would think Nami would fight the weaker member of this group, in the end it seems like Ulti had more endurance than all of them!
While all the Tobi Roppo fights had high points, in an arc with guys who keep getting up after getting knocked back down it seems kind of weak to get knocked down once and lose. The Tobi Roppo feel more pointless than other crews of the past. I don't feel like their defeat brings the protagonists closer to winning, as anyone above them could take their place. I'm hoping this isn't the end, as this is overall unsatisfying.
Not to say that Robin vs. Black Maria wasn't amazing, and yes, if anyone could knock out Who's Who it would be a man who could frankly be the top fighter on any Yonko crew already. I might just be left bitter with how badly Ulti turned out, much less PageOne.
I mean, what was the point of Page On exactly? If this is the end for this guy, then frankly it seems like his only purpose was to be a prop for Ulti. It's amazingly sad.
-
I'm glad i was proven wrong. Sanji vs Queen, Zoro vs King is gonna be an epic battle, though given the caliber of the enemy Zoro is facing, i wouldn't want to be him after Wano is all sad and done with all the injuries he's gonna need to recover from, that is probably going to be a brutal fight for him.
That panel of King incinerating 1 of the gifters in his hand was scary and brutal. -
2. The Big Mom Pirates doing something. Anything. Or maybe just Smoothie.
3. Nami's role in this war being salvaged, if that's possible.
I think both are likely.
I'm counting on the BM Pirates arriving (or, more likely, being summoned via book powers), and the Straw Hats, at the very least the ones who didn't get their own fights, having to deal with them.
There's 5 BM Pirates in Wano that have been highlighted whenever Oda had the chance to show them: Perospero, Smoothie, Mont-D'or, Galette, and Daifuku. I feel they are the ones that will be fought. I'd say:
- Jinbe vs Smoothie. I think Jinbe deserves a real challenge, and that match would be really interesting to see (water powers for both, personal matters due to him leaving Big Mom, while Smoothie is completely loyal)
- Nami vs Galette. Thought maybe it's Nami vs more than one BM daughter, like Galette, Compotte and/or Amande (the last one hasn't been seen in Wano, however, at least in the manga). Zeus gave Nami enough firepower for her to be worthy a 1v2 or 1v3 fight.
- Usopp vs Mont-D'or. I think this is a match made in heaven. Both use ranged weapons, and Mont-D'or's power is awesome for Usopp to develop his Observation. Plus, Mont-D'or lowerr bounty hints at his threat level being manageable by Usopp.
- Chopper vs either Perospero or Daifuku. I feel Daifuku is more on Chopper's level, especially if he can't use Monster again for now. Perospero may be meant to by Carrot and the minks, but who knows. Chopper being her "big bro" may lead to him having to avenge Pedro as well.
Some other BM Pirates may have minor roles, but I doubt they'll be in main matches. I expect Flampe to have an humiliating defeat at Usopp's hands somehow, lol.
(I left Brook out because I'm sure he will fight Apoo somehow. I expect Apoo to escape Drake, and the later end up dealing with CP-0 and Who's Who in a 3-way battle that reveals a lot about their respective secret agencies.)
@Galleon:
I like how Peros claims things would have gone fine if Sanji had "married" Pudding, despite the fact the party was a Red Wedding and Sanji was always going to die if that plan went through. Good for him to get a paw smack from my fave cat and slap him to the outside of Onigashima.
He's just seeing things from the BM Pirates' perspective. He know they would have murdered Sanji and all the Vinsmokes, he's only complaining because Sanji's rebelion made everything harder for them, culminating with the Emperors alliance that he hates so much.
If next arc is what I believe it is (see sig), Zoro being left out so other characters (like Robin and Jinbe) get the focus would make some sense.
-
Remember when people thought Sunker would struggle against Pay Pay? Good times lol
-
I agree with the overall feeling of disappointment with the Tobiroppo as a group.
It saddens me that Sasaki had such a small role being one of the best designs in the group.
Ulti shined more in comparison to her partners than by her own feats, I’d love if Oda developed her fighting skills further somehow.
P1 did absolutely nothing, either as a character or a fighter. Really hoping he somehow wakes up and get a quick-5-pages clash before we wrap it up.
Who’sWho was the most fleshed out I guess. We got a bit of backstory, some fighting techniques, lore drops and even discovered that he is kinda racist toward fishman. The only lingering thing is his face. I thought that his defeat panel would show us a torned mask and Jimbe would make a zappy remark about it since the topic was the meat of their taunting before fighting. Nitpicking, I admit.
Black Maria was the best antagonist - she drove Robin to her limits both mentally and physically. I can’t ask anything else from her…maybe some explanation of her illusion mist and how it works, but only if I must.
Drake...has been on the sideline for a while now. Together with Apoo. Hope they both turn it up and then some. Supernovas clash are supposed to be something wild, right?and, uhm, did Oda always had those Lore Droppers mid-battle and I’ve just never noticed them before? Who’sWho and now Marco casually talking about worldbuilding points mid throwing fists stuck out this arc, and I can’t remember more exemples form previous arcs.
If Usopp X Flampe really end up happening I’d lol HARD because his fame as loli chaser would skyrocket. The same way I always flash a grin when someone mentions Mihawks’s fame as a n00b hunter lol

There's some Saiyan blood in Zoro is it?
Also, the more I read Zolo, the more I despise it. What the hell. Does his name sound dumb. Especially when his first name is still Roronoa. Why not Lorenor? Stick with your shit through and through.
-

His first name is Zoro just like Luffy's first name isn't Monkey, Sanji's isn't Vinsmoke, Chopper's isn't Tony Tony, Robin's isn't Nico. Also why would it be Lorenor that from what I know only the German translation came up with, which also renamed Luffy to Ruffy and Usopp to Lysop.
-
I think Lolonoa was what the Swedish trans went with.
Which i kinda liked tbh, sounds like a French pirate name or something
-
His second name then, I will never not get confused by that. And you said it too, Zoro. Point was, his name got changed for the worse.
-
So does Marco go to the roof now or not ?
-

The official English release using Zolo is a relic of copyright issues they wanted to avoid and when they could've transitioned to Zoro they kept it for consistency's sake
-
Remember when people thought Sunker would struggle against Pay Pay? Good times lol
It's wild that people were seriously trying to argue that Sanji was the one that looked bad in that fight, despite it just being a test run for the raid suit. Now we're here where Sanji is continuing to fight Queen without it, and even briefly clashed against Queen and King off screen.
The minute we saw how the brief clash with Pay Pay went, if was obvious he was being setup for a Calamity fight.
-

I know this guy for 22 years now. I will keep my own Zoro consistency
-
I'm realizing one thing I really liked about this chapter is watching Zoro (and to a lesser extent, Sanji) feeling hyped about making Luffy pirate king before fighting King.
Because for Zoro, fighting strong swordsmen is a big deal. Whenever he is about to fight one, he says something about how he is excited to test his skills or get stronger. To see him thinking about Luffy's dream first and mentioning that intead of his dream shows how he has progressed a lot from the original Zoro who said he'd cut Luffy down if the later got in the way of the former's dream.
Yeah sure strawhats have been saying they will make Luffy PK left and right since post-TS (and a lot more in Wano), but not to this extent. And Sanji is another character who doesn't begin fights with that remark either, normally he acts more cool or aloof.
The strawhat crew is now completely focused on the main goal of getting to the One Piece. They are not just the Man who will be PK and his crewmates who have their own dreams, they are the Crew that will be Pirate Kings. No one can stop them now. Kaido and BM don't stand a chance.
-
Especially when his first name is still Roronoa. Why not Lorenor? Stick with your shit through and through.
There's plenty of good reasons to be mad about Zolo but too many people say this even thought it's idiot logic. One L/R sound was interpreted as an L therefore they all have to be? I sure hope people who call him Zoro also call the main character Ruffy, just so they're consistent with their shit, right?
-
I hope we get a Marco and Sanji aerial team up battle next arc
-
Why does everyone want a piece of brother Peros? He did nothing wrong, man… Pedro exploded himself, its not like Peros strapped a bomb on Pedro and triggered it!
Oh, and the Tobiroppo are donezo I think.
Well an intermission chapter to be sure, thankfully no break this week!
-
Also, the more I read Zolo, the more I despise it. What the hell. Does his name sound dumb. Especially when his first name is still Roronoa. Why not Lorenor? Stick with your shit through and through.
Everyone complains about Zolo but no one EVER complains about Jinbe/Jimbei, and that's two letters different!
The reasons are copyright reasons with the masked bandit Zorro.
It wasn't Viz's choice or decision, they had it as Zoro initially, but the decision went across all One Piece media at the time including the anime, video games and merchandise.
By the time the edict was lifted a few years later when Funimation picked up the anime license they already had it as Zolo for years and dozens of volumes and it was too much to change.
Similarly, some old naming choices are left as-is for consistency.
-
I think Lolonoa was what the Swedish trans went with.
Which i kinda liked tbh, sounds like a French pirate name or something
Which is where it's from if I remember correctly, right? His name is a japanezation of François "L'Olonnais", a french pirate

This week we finally get the overhead view of the Onigashima interior people have been asking for literally since the battle started. But what we're shown here actually raises a few new questions.
At a glance, I wasn't sure how to reconcile the view here with the mini maps shown during scene transitions previously.
But after a bit of looking and reviewing, I think I was actually reading the old maps a little wrong this whole time. There's still issues with the old map, but I think with this we've got it figured out.
The areas in grey below, I initially assumed to be large interior zones of what is labelled "Right Brain Tower" in the narration, but they're really just the walls of the dome. Solid rock, by the look of them. The only part that matters are the lines through each side, highlighted in red, which I now understand to be the long passages leading to the exterior that Franky fought Sasaki in and Big Mom chased Nami, Carrot and Shinobu down. They appear to have side rooms, but for the most part the Left and Right Brain structures are just straight lines.
But it still doesn't totally make sense. To match up with what's been shown in the actual manga, the minimap would need to be more oval-shaped. I played around with the warp tool in Photoshop and think I've tweaked it into something more accurate to the canon layout of the space, with a few main landmarks shown for complete clairty.
However, I made a post back in November (holy shit, we've been doing this for a while) looking at how consistently Oda tracked battle damage and character locations across the battlefield and it's still spot on here. This map shows the tower Zoro cut down, the place Yamato's handcuffs exploded and the path of Big Mom's attack on the Performance Floor right where they should be. It's also cool being able to spot the Pleasure Hall, the back entrance to the dome and the trench blasted by Kaido and Big Mom's combined attack on the roof on the overhead shot of the island flying on the next page.
Getting to the actual content of the chapter, Raizo's fight was a fun interlude in the early pages. Fukurokujo fighting with his earlobes and Raizo giving away his real self by talking are classic Oda gags. I can't see it being a particularly long fight, however. The next time we cut back to here should be the last. It's interesting too see that Ashura Doji's body has snow falling over it. I was pretty sure he fell inside the dome. Maybe the fake Oden's explosion blew a hole in the wall we didn't get to see at the time.
Killer and Hawkins are both fairly periphery characters in the grand scheme of things. Neither of them are all that emotionally resonant (though Killer's surprised me a few times this arc) and neither has the battlefield presence for it to be a point of tension if he's defeated or not. That's why it's such a clever move on Oda's part to have Hawkins connect himself to Kid. The stakes of the fight and its potential to force the characters into tough choices have just been raised tenfold.
King and Queen's villain spread looks incredible. I feel like I've been saying a lot that I'm looking forward to the colour manga version of different scenes, but it just keeps being true. Sanji taking damage going up against both feels like a way to level his playing field with Zoro, who got the chance to face Kaido. I don't think it has quite the same prestige, but it works for what it is.
Perospero is back outside, where he left Carrot and Wanda. I still think they're going to get back and contribute to his defeat, especially with the island having already moved back into seemingly clearer skies.
So King's special racial trait isn't to do with the wings or anything he might be hiding under his gimpsuit, it's making and controlling fire? What a novel and unique ability to naturally have access to without any help from devil fruits or technology…
I was tempted to include Doflamingo's Overheat as well, but despite the name and being drawn with an inexplicable warm orange glow, the ability has never been been shown generating actual flames. I also omitted Zoro for the moment, given that he's only shown the ability to cut fire, not to make it.So either King's race has a pretty underwhelming perk, or they genetically integrated into the wider population over time, losing the wings but distributing enough fire-making genetics that a minor version of the ability shows up regularly. Or it could be similar to how water manipulation would likely be seen as a Fishman/Merfolk benefit, but it can actually be learned by anyone willing to put the time in. (once again, I'm willing to bet the Minks' electro could be taught the same the way)
But there'll definitely be more about that in the future! Because we it seems that this fire race once lived on the Redline (unless the leading name of this Red Wall is a red herring), which presumably makes them and their history fairly important. The fact that they have wings is also very interesting. He's doesn't seem to be Skypiean, Birkan or Shandian, the three important races depicted in carvings on the moon, but this fourth winged race that he is must be related to them somehow, right? King's race also differs from the other winged peoples of the world in that his wings are big enough to fly on. Are they a racial feature that's just somehow less remarkable than the fire? Is he perhaps the last of an ancestor race to the clipped-wing modern Skypiea/Birkan/Shanians, the same way the Ancient Giant race that produced Oars, his descendants and (kinda) the Numbers is larger and more monstrous than modern giants?
I'm surprised by how clean Zoro looks with the bandages off. I guess we can only really see his back, but there's no dried blood, no dirt, no wounds or anything. I'd kinda figured the Minks' cureall would just re-energise him and let him fight despite the injuries, not vanish them entirely. Basically, he looks like nothing happened, when I wanted him to look like Nothing Happened.
I hope Oda's willing to play with the 2v2 setup of this fight a little. Are King and Queen willing to give each other assists while Zoro and Sanji determinedly focus on their designated opponent? Or will we get another "ten seconds" scene where they team up and take the bigwigs down one at a time? Even just the chance for banter if they're fighting side by side is appreciated.
Here's to another excellent chapter, and with as few as three left in the volume things can only keep ramping up.
-
defeats Perospero in a very definitive way.
Considering you're even questioning the Tobi Roppo still being transformed as a possible hint of consciousness, despite the the fact that we've seen Zoans still transformed and K.O´ed in the past, seems like you're already mindset to not accept Perospero's defeat as definitive, as long as you keep believing that characters must only be defeated in this certain and specific way I expect them to, yeah, nothing will be convincingly definitive in that mindset of yours.

Well, act 3 seems to be near its end either way, so let's see what happens.

Gotta admit Lysop does sound and fit better.

I still fondly remember the chinese bootlegs that gave us Sunkist and Liar Bu and Clark Dell and Tanjiahdo Loluflamingo and Bisoromi Bear…

Yes, cause you keep stretching the numbers(?).
It should've ended like 10 chapters ago according to 10-chapters-ago you.
But I'm kinda curious, does it actually exist a point where you no longer will stretch it?

I'm not the author, I can only guess when/if he will do something. I'd have ended Act 3 already, he clearly didn't so far.
But Wano will have to end at some point, don't it?
-
But Wano will have to end at some point, don't it?
5 acts its the traditional, but 3 acts its the most commonly used nowadays, I think you should keep that fact in mind and hold it with greater value than your theories.
I mean, just in case.

Yeah but if act 3 ends when Wano ends there won't be an act 4.
Unless somehow Oda introduces another antagonist
-
I really wanna have more to say than just "Great chapter" but good action chapters mostly just speak for themselves.
I wanna talk about King's fire race but there's just not much to be able to confirm there. I highly doubt they're just a "fluff" race though, they were introduced really late in the series. Pudding's three-eyed race ended up being really important (and we still haven't seen a "proper" three-eyes), so King's should be too.
I'm sure someone mentioned it but it does seem to go against the Red Line being artificially made.Anyway. Raizo vs Fukurokuju was like, decent. I'm glad the Straw Hats took the center stage 'cause yeah most Scabbard fights have just been decent.
Besides them vs Kaido, that was awesome.
Every spread in this chapter felt very weighty and really highlighted Oda's creativity, can't wait for the penultimate fights! It's also GREAT timing that we get no upcoming breaks for a few chapters. Really keeps the momentum going on a high.
