Fuck it, it deserves its own thread:
I wasn't on big on it as some of the more (hyperoblically) praising quarters, but I still very much appreciated the maximalism, visual effects and the centering of a (middle-aged!) Asian woman's life story.

Don't watch the trailer. See the movie as blind as you can.
I hate it that everybody has been praising it non-stop and we don't even have a scheduled date in Brazil yet

We are lacking even our basic torrent rights.
See it in a theater if you can. I have a hard time imagining certain scenes having the same impact when not blown up to giant size in front of you.
What a fantastic movie. Had the privilege to go in completely blind. Sadly the film is featured in just 10 theaters in Germany (until now). Was worth it to get home at 3 am in the morning in the middle of a workweek.
I can also confirm this movie is awesome
Fantastic movie, super glad I went in blind.
I stupidly watched the trailer, followed by people hyping it up…
...and I'm so confused. It doesn't look like it's good, but the reviews and whatnot state otherwise.
Sometimes a trailer doesn't do a movie justice.

The trailer just spoils the movie and gives away visuals and jokes without context and spoils the premise.
It doesn't tell you anything of what it's ABOUT.
Honestly watching the Spectacular sequence from Moulin Rogue would have served as a better trailer while spoiling nothing.
I watched this about a month ago. It's really freaking good, but in my opinion, the climax lasts a bit too long. I really enjoyed it, though, and plan to watch it again when it comes to streaming. It's my second favorite movie of the year, so far, after Nope.
Watched while the forum was down, absolutely fantastic. Best movie of the year - although I can't say I'm watching plenty of movies this year.
@andre Funny, Nope is my second favorite movie this year after EEAAO in part because I thought Nope's climax went on too long.
@Jabberwok I thought Nope was basically perfect and nailed the climax by evolving our understanding of what the purpose of the climax was. I really did like EEAAO, though. The climax being too long is my only real criticism.
Anybody know when/where this will be streaming?

You can rent it through Amazon, Apple TV, Youtube, Vudu and a handful of other places. Beyond that, I don't think it's streaming anywhere for free and I have no idea where it will when/if it does.
