So I've seen a few videos now that kind of made me go maybe it is resin but I didn't really fact check any of the info and am somewhat too lazy. Hence I'm going to throw it out what everyone else thinks on Luffy just controlling his gum gum powers to a degree where he can manipulate it as rubber resin or something like that.

I'm certainly tired of seeing every fanart of Joyffy looking like a Jamaican Hippie with dreadlocks.
Oda should've shown a different angle of Luffy's transformation, that panel of his head being covered doesnt really help artists at all.

The only thing I'm sure of is that Luffy will have fire powers, regardless of the explanation. It's just the obvious development of the character since Gear 2nd (steam), then Red Hawk (fire), until becoming a Sun God to fight Teach's Darkness.

Not yet imo, I was kind of expecting it with the fall of Luffy and everything, but I guess it wasn't the time. Usually characters will go into flashbacks right before they win a fight -> flashback serving as a way for them to dig down deep and find the resolve and to show us where they are coming from.
Well for main guys that is how it works. For bad guys however it is often a lot less straighforward.人事を尽くして天命を待つ

The hype is fucking palpable at the moment. Every major leaker and even Greg are hyping this chapter. For my part, I'll be logging off of AP, Twitter, and Reddit until the chapter is out. I'll see you all hopefully on Friday, because there's no way I'm going to wait till Sunday and continue risking getting spoiled.

Personally never been bothered by manga spoilers. Also same as others even if it's just lurking and going through comments it's during the spoiler period when people share their most raw thoughts.

I only read up to the summary and then wait for English scans. It just a process in the week for me to look forward to as we get some information daily. Starting with couple of lines

I started One Piece from volume 21. Then I read volume 8. Then I searched the One Piece Wikj and read every character summary. When I was satisfied it was something I would enjoy, I sank my teeth I to it. 24 hours a day. Hard to waste it.

The week long One Piece ritual is fun. Refreshing for spoilers to go up, short spoilers deets, why this is the best or worst chapter ever just from that, spoiler summary, photo leaks, korean scans, hasty scanlation, weekly mob outside Oda's megamansion, a day off to rip on whatever the anime messed up this time, official translation, then spend Monday watching people ask where the spoilers are and remind them of the Oda's scheduled bathroom break
Why consolidate that to one day, that's boring

Spoilers discussions tend to be more intense because we have less information. Less information is the absolute lifeblood of discussions. Because people are trying to piece together something coherent from the little we have.
Taking that away, would just be..boring.
As an example, look at how not a lot of people really discuss the full chapter.
I say, let us have our fun.

Oh, I personally have no problem with spoiler discussions. Hell, I'm there all the time. I was just saying that, in my opinion, having only spoiler images and summary thread with no spoiler discussion might work.

Idk, I enjoy it a lot more after I stopped reading spoilers. As fun as it was, back in images only era, it's not worth it for me. Coincidentally, I stopped spoiling right when Sabo appeared so the experience just boosted my decision.
Don't really see why anyone would want to spoil themselves after a cliffhanger like this one. Much more amazing to experience it through panels directly.
