Like all characters, they have their various sides.
As someone who works in a pet store, I have to say this though: goldfish are not meant to be kept in a bowl. A healthy goldfish needs a 10 gallon tank at minimum. Why? Two reasons. One is that they have a ton of ammonia in their waste, which makes the water unbreathable unless you change it, like, every two days. Two, is that goldfish (related to koi) can grow super big, and if they don't have the room to grow their bodies can get messed up and they'll die.

Akane vs Hikaru for the final slot!

Gruriko/maikeru crumbs!!! Good. Near the beginning when we got kyoji focus and then koguma focus but when I assumed we would hop to another one of the shiguma squad members we hopped to other events/characters, so I'm happy we might get more with the remaining lads soon.

Michael (I'm pretty sure that's the intended spelling) being that good makes me hyped to see his performance.
I'm just a bit confused by the schedule of the events. I thought it was just one selection event (the renseikai) but it seems there is another one after that.

Can't wait to see that Maikuru's En has a maximum range of 50 meters which will seem impressive at first until we see Issho Arakawa performing in front of a 2 km diameter stadium.
On a serious note, I'm loving everything about this series up to this point, and even though current events seem tailored to be Akane's first big loss (to me, at least), I think the authors have a great chance to really hone Hikaru and Akane's relationship into something very meaningful, specially when identity comes into play (and Hikaru's facade about her accent pops up again). Really excited for future chapters.

Akane appears to be picking the hard path. Good for her. It'll be worth it in the long run, but for now I could see it potentially being her downfall for the competiton. -
I think we sometimes keep forgetting that her dad is technically alive.
