I´d say Luffy was already in the One Piece top 15 overall strength-wise before this fight and afterwards, he´ll be in the top 10, one step closer to the top, it´s called progression.
But had this not been a group effort (scabbards first, now supernovas), Luffy would´ve been dead already, multiple times. So even when he wins in the end, it´s not like he can handle Kaido like nothing in a 1 on 1 rematch.
Top 5: Garp, Sengoku, Shanks, Big Mom, Kaido
Top 10: Dragon, Mihawk, Akainu, Rayleigh, Teach (↑)
Top 15: Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora, Ryokugyu, Luffy (↑)
I do wonder how Teach can fight Luffy these days though.
If I imagine being Teach, I wanna upgrade my DF-negating touch into an aura, training the DF to improve the radius, to 10 meters (33 feet) maybe.
If a Zoan enters my death zone, his physical strength and toughness evaporate and he eats a nice quake to the face.
If an oponent is able to shoot something from a distance (beam, meteor, whatever), I want my gravity tornado to be strong enough to suck it in before it hits me.
I would also train Kurozu to help me deal with ranged attackers who want to keep their distance. Make the gravity beam narrower, more intense, but reach further.
I am quite good at Observation, I might be able to predict enemy movement, so Kurozu will catch its prey even from (suprisingly) far away.
If something actually gets through and is about to hit me, I want to coat myself in my tremor power to deflect or soften it up.
If I actually get hurt real bad, maybe I enter my own tornado and it clears the damage, this is broken as hell, probably one-time use or cooldown or something.
Obviously, I don´t want a drawn out battle, so I´ll train my tremor power to layer multiple quakes in my fist to make sure they have a hard time surviving a single punch.
I can do this, zehahahahaha!!!
