Kinta what a magnificent bastard.
Beautiful chapter.

This chapter did a better job of making Kinta likeable than the entirety of Vamola's flashback.
-
Kinta discovered spiral power by himself. He's a genius.
-
@El-Matematico He's a Zepelli.

Into the fire
-
The moment we all been waiting finally arrives.
-
Ever since it was established that Aliens and Curses are at odds, I knew the curses were going to enter the fray to stop the invasion.
-
Now, will momo get Reiko? She looks overpowered.
-
I don't think that Reiko will necessarily turn good. They just have a common enemy right now. We can't forget that those beings were once human and that earth is their home. It would also be bad for them if aliens took over.
-
Reiko Kashima withdraws coolly.
-
I didn't get before thar Reiko Kashima was THE strongest yokai. Now that the invasion is over, I wonder what's next.
-
Me either, I was definitely not expecting it to end that easily/quickly
-
I expected it considering what grandma said about Reiko Kashima and the lore about local aliens not daring to invade earth. The Octopi came from far away in the universe so they had no idea. Maybe their part of the universe is weaker which is why they were able to conquer many planets.
-
own I wish this would settle the next yokai menace (or at least get to see a bunch of them
-
ok I wasn't expecting a world war 2 related character.
-
And we're back to yokai.
-
St Germain
-
I'm guessing SG's nickname is Hyper Geezer as a counterpart to Turbo Granny but it feels really weird by itself.
-
I bet the yokai lady is gonna fall for Hyper Geezer.
That was a nice feel-good chapter, if a bit confusing at the end. Yokai lady telling Momo to hurry it up is great, drawn out romances are annoying and I can only take one more arc of Momo and Okarun pining for each other. Otherwise I love all the scenes of the kids hanging out. Vamola's people surving is feel-good too, I don't care if it makes sense or not I want to see them reunited.
But best part is seeing Turbo Granny active again.
-
I stopped caring about romance in shonen a long time ago as they are usually poorly done, dragged out and sometimes never go anywhere. It's basically just bait for the part of the fandom that are into pairings.
Not the same genre but Bakemonogatari was a breath of fresh air in that aspect since the main guy and girl just get together at the beginning and we go from there.
-
Hey, we're sailing interesting waters once again. I enjoyed the kids just hanging together, plus it's nice to have the Yokai become relevant again. Bonus points if Reiko Kashima remains hostile in the long run (while aggressively pushing Okarun and Momo towards each other. This much could be entertaining)
-
Reiko being the matchmaker of the goofballs is cute.
-
I didn't comment at the time but I'm ALL IN on adding 15-18th Century weird occultist guys like Saint-Germain, Cagliostro/Balsamo, Paracelsus, Dee, Kelly, Mesmer, Agrippa.

Back in full force at last - how I missed the group antics ! Rugby match / family jewel restoration ritual is pure gold, and so is the group dynamic as they're contemplating a school club.
-
Sanjome is totally not suspicious.
-
I find it funny how Saint-Germain turned into Sanjome in Japanese.
-
i hope we do a space exploration arc, that'll be fun (doubtful though).
And FINALLY the ikemen villain arrives -
A tale about Nimrods and vampires
-
Class rep finally joining. She's one of two background characters who could see Okarun's transformation. The other one was a one off bully, I wonder if he ever was intended to appear again.
-
Cool chapter, I'll take highschool antics (with a pinch of goofy occult) over large-scale alien invasion any day.
The dialog in the first few pages seemed weird, though. I can't quite tell whether it's a quirk of Sanjome's speech pattern; a sign that he is asserting is domination on the group (or trying to) or if some things got lost in translation.
