Heh, no topic yet, so I'll make one.
Outlaw Star is one of my favorite anime series ever. Great show, characters, plot, and the MacDougall Brothers take the cake for me. They are some of the best characters in anime as far as I'm concerned. They MADE that show to me.
And trust me, if you watched it on CN, you missed a lot. Uncut rocks.
I like Outlaw Star, but the best character disappears after like the 4th episode. I ain't going to mention who it is for those that haven't seen it, but the exit was a very sizzling one. :rolleyes:
Best episode I thought though was "The Seven Emerge" when Gene takes on that weapons expert from the Anten Seven.
Same here, that was my favorite episode to. I especialy like the Caster Pistol, I thought that was a pretty tight weapon.
Oh god, you guys don't even know what a huge Outlaw Star fan I am. XD I even cosplayed Harry MacDougall at Katsucon this year…

I also have a Ron website, sort of. O_o.; I had one back in 2001 and.. it was horrible, and I took it down about a year ago. I started redoing it a few months ago, and I've been too busy to get anything up yet, so all that's there on the main page is the lyrics to Through the Night for scrollbar-testing purposes... but... the layout's pretty hot, and I'll have a lot of screenshots and stuff up eventually. XD (Yeah, I did part of the katakana for his last name wrong, if anyone notices. O_o.; Not gonna bother fixing that.)

Eh? What are you talking about? The animation stays the same 90% of the time. The other time it was barely noticable
Actually, the way the characters are drawn looks really weird in some episodes. O_o.;; Like in… I think episode 17, everyone just looks really ugly and the animation is kind of awkward. And I know Harry was drawn a lot differently toward the end of the series than he was in his first appearances.

Hmm, episode 17? Between Life and Machine? That's one of my favorites. Heh, they looked weird to me in Final Countdown…but very mild. That's the only thing I noticed.

Well, I love that episode too, but I think the animation does change a lot from one episode to the next. O_o.; It's most obvious in Melfina, I think but… I don't have any screencaps of her, so I'll go with Harry again. XD He changed a lot in my opinion, too.
Episodes 10-12
I think he looked the best in these episodes. He had more of a fun crazy look to him and his hair was more detailed and stuff, and the animation had a slightly rougher look to it that went well with the anime itself.
Episode 17
Another example from this episode
The eyes are drawn really oddly and the faces are long and pointy. Harry doesn't have that same cool look anymore. And Melfina just looks horrible in this episode. x_x.;; I'll get a cap of that sometime.
Uh… late episodes, this is that Grave of the Dragon or whatever one.
Eyes are less freaky looking, though still decidedly different from the first episode (not talking about the coloring, since that's just how colors are on that planet, but the way they're drawn. o_o.; ). Everything is drawn really smoothly here, and there's less detail in the faces. It makes the show look like.. girlier or something. X_x.;; I dunno. Way better than episode 17 though.
Anyway, yeah. x_o.;; Not HUGE differences I guess, but enough to bother me while I watched it. I'm sorry for posting so many pictures lately. x_x.;;;

well i think the style of drawing changed at least 3 times druing the anime if my memory isn't failing me.

Ah, I get what you're saying now. Yes, I notice that Melfina is the key to noticing different animations. Sometimes she's looks FLAMING hot, other times just really hot, then Eh, the back to smokin'…Heh yeah I know what you mean.
But I've never seen any differences in Harry at all... :mellow:

well it was all too noticable to me. the last pic was ep1. that one i liked th most. the last 5 or 6 eps i had to force myself to wathc because i didn't like the animation 
i guess you love this anime so much you don't really care how they're drawn

I was going to do that pose but I didn't have a fake gun to carry around. XD And like… other people have done the fake arm thing, but I liked him better when he had both arms. O_o.;;; Plus I was switching between costumes a lot and it would have been awkward. XD
I also like Outlaw Star (has the Mangas at home), but I have never watched the Anime

It WAS on CN, but no longer. If you browse around the internet the DVDs are everywhere but I suggest the best price though. The Perfect Boxset (it's what it's called, is the best selection)
