I wasn’t willing to give anyone who voted or endorsed Trump the first time around specifically those that leaned left now you got people like Ice Cube being suckered into Trump’s bullshit.
Fuck Em.

I'm with you. Fuck em.
I can't account for or mentally forgive any of those people now, even MORE voted for him than last time. I just… don't get it.
From their point of view, democrats are against cops and openly in favor of terrorist organizations.
Almost everybody is supportive of the police until they’re the ones getting a traffic ticket, being arrested, or having their property legally seized.

Ice cube campaigned for Trump? Huh, i wouldn't have guessed that

Not exactly the campaign reached out to him on a potential initiative or something and he took them up on it.
Whereas guys like Lil Wayne and 50 cent (who backtracked) openly endorsed him.
Apparently Kanye wasn’t an anomaly but he at least has the excuse of not being in good mental health.
….......... Barring any major surprises... It looks like Biden's got this... It's WAY too close for comfort, but... It's looking like there's a clear path to victory here.
Just need Nevada and Michigan.
Michigan is being called by some sites, nevada will announce their numbers before the end of the day.
Let's go Nevada! It could be the clincher!!
What's up with Florida anyway? Didn't it go to Obama before? Is it just so full of swamp ogres who don't normally vote but went all out for Trump this time? I'd love to know about Florida politically because it's a real special case.
Massive disinformation campaigns in Latino communities, particularly Cubans.
this has been giving me anxiety all day
what a great pre birthday gift lmao

I’ll say I went to bed this morning cold and stupefied and only slept probably 4 hours which isn’t out of the ordinary for me but I was most definitely not at peace.
I also had problems sleeping last night.
Months of advance warning about a red mirage or not, it was still unsettling.
I woke up an hour earlier and was just pissed.
I didn't have trouble sleeping last night.
Because I was drunk.
I exhausted all my stress reserves after RBG died. I slept real bad a few days after that, but this time I'm keeping my expectations barrel bottom so I'm catuously pessimistic enough to not feel anything.

Well you can take solace in the fact a few trans, two gays, a non binary candidate were elected.
I know that’s little comfort in light of The Republican’s agenda regarding LGBTQ rights.
Trump threw a huge temper tantrum when he started seeing votes go the other way. Because of course he did.

Yeah lol, this is exactly why the Election Day shitshow shouldn't exist. They should announce the results at once at 8pm, just like they do here. It brings way too much anxiety otherwise

His reaction over Fox calling Arizona wasn’t too much better.
I slept most in disappointment and a feeling of dread to come in our 2022 elections.
I'm sure glad I took today and the next two days off of work this week, cause I guessed correctly that I would need it.
I slept reasonably well last night, but, yeah, not optimally.
Trump got his own Ralph Nader moment in Michigan. Last I checked Trump got 48.9% and libertarian JoJo got 1.1%. Oh my god it's so delicious. /pol/ is absolutely seething. Today was truly a bizarre adventure for cheeto benito.
Not much you can do when he called dibs fair and square.
Nuh uh. See. See. Biden was there yesterday and while he was there he licked Michigan, and everybody knows that means it's his now.
Any thoughts here on the results for House and Senate?
House seems to still be dem majority, senate is going for a 48-48 if the Michigan guy got reelected. Alaska and one of Georgia’s are going rep. NC could still end blue. But all is pointing for more two years of a rep senate.

Get ready for a constitutional crisis in January when the Senate refuses to approve any of Biden's cabinet noms.
Even more potential bullshit when the chickens come home to roost on that tax bill that Republicans pushed for.
While I sit here and suffer from even MORE anxiety, a reminder that something good did come out of this:
Oh hey forum is back.
Congrats to our 46th president Joe Biden!
Don't jinx it Neko, just don't.
Also fuck you to Jo Jorgenson for taking ANY of those votes away from Biden.
Actually people are saying Jorgenson may have taken more votes from Trump than from Biden?
So Yay Jo Jorgenson?
Well my state (Iowa) turned out just like I thought it would, and Feenstra won in my congressional district. But at least we don't have to deal with Steve King since he lost in the primary so there's that.
Don't jinx it Neko, just don't.
Also fuck you to Jo Jorgenson for taking ANY of those votes away from Biden.
I'm still mad about Gary Johnson and Jill Stein in 2016. Which really has me baffled about 3rd party candidates, do they honestly think they have even a chance of winning the presidency?
I'm still floored my state went for Biden… I'm super duper happy but... honestly did not expect this, wow.
@Mr.:

No, they absolutely do not.
The Third Parties basically want to be taken seriously. You see ALL political coverage is framed as a 2-way battle. Dems vs. Repubs. Third parties exist and are technically valid but nobody pays any attention to them. They are an afterthought.
However, if they can get AT LEAST 5% of the vote in a presidential election, then they qualify for FEC General funding. That's like $20 MILLION dollars towards election campaigns as well as the major networks and pollsters starting to take them seriously as a major party. They would start getting a lot more coverage because people would see that 5% as significant enough that they could be on the rise.
It's basically an attempt to get themselves on a fast track to the big kid table of politics instead of having to do all the leg work of actually winning down ticket and local elections and seeding themselves into state and local governments and congress enough to get themselves on the national stage.

If we vote Ducey out, we'll be a totally Blue state.
Actually people are saying Jorgenson may have taken more votes from Trump than from Biden?
So Yay Jo Jorgenson?
Maybe why Georgia is the way it is.
Don't jinx it Neko, just don't.
Nah Biden has had this in the bag ever since the early morning of today. WI/MI/PA all really just had Democratic leaning votes left. PA is gonna flip to Biden tonight and could get called tonight or tomorrow but yeah Biden has this.
My state did not vote for Biden and I'm ashamed. The state I live in also didn't, but Kentucky sucks ass and I can't wait until I can comfortably move to somewhere with people whose values are more like my own.
Actually people are saying Jorgenson may have taken more votes from Trump than from Biden?
So Yay Jo Jorgenson?
I guess? Though to me independents always seem to lean right more than left.
I'm still floored my state went for Biden… I'm super duper happy but... honestly did not expect this, wow.
What state are you from?
Icelandic media talking about the historic wins for American women during this election
Very nice to see
I can't read it, but yes, very nice of them.
What state are you from?
Hint it’s the one people are blaming John mcCain’s widow for flipping and not apparently Trump hating the the state so much he refused to go there as frequently as he did Florida despite it being a red state.
Edit: Too overt?
Fuck Florida.
…......
Would be amazing if fucking Georgia manages to flip but not Florida.
Steve Kornacki said North Carolina is back in play.
Would be amazing if fucking Georgia manages to flip but not Florida.
Since the difference is less than 40k and apparently the majority of the remaining votes are mail ballots from Atlanta, there's a non 0 chance.
Something to watch while we're waiting for Biden to win:
Cops in LA are attempting to chase down a three hundred and sixty thousand dollar truck.
Edit: he hit a telephone pole and was arrested.
Aaagghh, I don't wanna go to work tomorrow. My Trump-supporting coworker will be there and I do NOT want to get into anything with her.
