There was an incident surrounding Lindsay Ellis recently that I feel needs a more extensive discussion in a political context, outside of the reviewer thread (or at the very least much more awareness brought to it).
I was going to bring it up in the American Politics Thread but that wasn't really best place to go, and I think it would be beneficial to have a place outside of that thread for people to share other internet-related issues like Youtube's crackdown on non-mainstream sources, Right to Repair activism, corporate and government data collection, issues surrounding big tech businesses like Amazon, and the periodic attempts by governments to crack down on internet freedoms in the name of IP protections.
I'm not the best speaker on this topic so I think it's better if you just hear everything from Lindsay in her own words:
I know it's long, but I really recommend that you watch/listen to the whole thing.
