Well it helps that Sasaki got several fight pages with Franky. Who’s-Who has only had like one fight panel after he met up with Jinbe.
Bartolomeo is significantly higher than Cavendish so I'm happy. I'm shocked the Yamato mafia didn't reach top 10. And more shocked that Carrot actually did.

As has been pointed out, Yamato hasn't been in the anime yet. A large portion of the voting audience hasn't even seen him.
Nor have we gotten the flashback or transformation yet. So it's pretty impressive considering that.
Be interesting to see where he lands a few years from now in the next poll. If he doesn't leave the story entirely after Wano.
I blame the low rankings of brook and franky on Oda and only oda. And not only because of design, but because jimbei just joined and feels around way longer then them because he got things to do since impel down, marineford, fishman island, WCI, wano. Franky made the less liked ship among the two and had some moments here and there like EL/W7 and segnor pink fight, that's it. Brook had well, almost nothing besides his BM thing before the wedding and when he smashed the carmel photo thing. And that is for people that joined like when, 12 years ago or even longer? They always felt like secondary straw hats, after the main crew formed in east blue.
I distincty remember Sanji underperforming in Europe, to the point Law frequently scored ahead of him.
Yeah, he's only 7th there. He's even lower in Africa and Oceania, but those don't account for much of the votes. But Europe is the third biggest in that regard after Japan and Asia, and basically the main reason Nami was top 3. Underperforming there is gonna show.

Brook's had a ton of moments, he's just still super underrated. He gave us the iconic Binks's Sake, his fight with Zeo was one of the best of Fishman Island, and he was easily the MVP of Whole Cake Island, between the Poneglyph theft and what he did at the wedding. Aside from the Marineford Saga and Dressrosa (both of which he had to leave early) he's had a clear highlight for every major storyline since his introduction. I'm not sure what else Oda could have done with the guy.
Franky's definitely been underutilised and has a ton of wasted potential though.
The difficulty giving these two lategame recruits enough time to shine should bode poorly for a hypothetical Wano recruit, logically, but somehow it doesn't seem to have affected the two most popular cadidates.
I would love to see a deep dive into the regional results, which countries had the most votes and how the cultures and fandoms there reflect the results. Just being able to see how my country voted and how it looks compared to the rest of Europe would be neat.

February 14 should be renamed Nami Day. Ah, why even stop there, February should be called the month of Nami.
Also that ignition of Boa votes in the final two days, that made the difference between #8 and #7 for her.
There are salty suggestions from some people that Nami's insane rush towards the end was a result of botting.
I'm not sure though, since I don't know enough about how these things work or what counts as suspicious.
Though to be honest, I wouldn't be upset even if it was true.

I don't think his message specified that specifically, just that he'd be doing something with all the winners soon. (And it sounds like it won't be in the issue that prints the results, or I think they would have announced that specifically?)

Namur has to be the most inexplicable guy who got more than 10,000 votes. Over 13,000 for him!? I never got the impression that he made a big splash at Marineford. That makes him the 5th most popular Whitebeard Pirate after Ace, Marco, Whitebeard, and Izo. I think Vista was the only other one who made it.

She’s a good example of a character I remember in recent times that I wasn’t particularly fond of at first, because I just saw her as more of a brat at the time, to liking her more overtime for how her upfront and blunt her personality was that strangely came off as endearing like the caring big sister she tries to be. It helps that her personality stuck out more that way, because as great as designs like Black Maria are, admittedly the rest of the Flying Six’s personalities didn’t quite resonate with me in the same way, so I’d say she’s one of my newfound favorites as of now.
Also, I’m sure that the people who’d spend that much time to vote Woop Slap out of a joke campaign says quite a bit about their own character and who the comedic clowns are. lol

Not really because those would equally apply to Luffy, Zoro, etc.
Yeah one fan could spend several hundred dollars to get 40 postcards and make a 400 point difference, but that's not going to account for 100,000 votes in a day.

Recent characters always get the momentum-hype.
Being in the focus helps a lot especially when some characters have the same purpose in different arcs. (like Wiper and Kyros being the loyal fighters etc)

Bartolomeo was a genuinely funny and bad-ass character which was around the time he was 9th place. Then he turned solely into a Straw Hat fan-boy gag character which became forgettable… we already have Hancock!
Also cool to see Rocks making it on the rankings as high as he did even though he only started being shown over 20 years Roger was first introduced. It’s interesting how he’s a recent character as far as manga publication goes, despite being noted as Roger’s first and perhaps greatest enemy.
Some WT100 stuff in the latest Jump. I doubt there's any new info about things like when the colour spread is coming, but it's still nice to look at.

Not a Carrot fan, but her popularity is more astounding to me, probably because I don't really get it.
She's a strong female character, filling an archetype of a peppy teenage girl not seen all the time in OP, who's been a part of the crew's adventure for years and who's story in Wano is reaching its climax.

All the best stuff with Carrot just seemed to have happened so long ago that I'm surprised it's still that resonant with people. But it's probably more that none of it really resonates with me where the lack of understanding comes from.

They didn't promote anything about the top 50 character illustration.
Apparently, that color spread will be included in issue 36-37 of WSJ which will release on Aug 10th or maybe in future issue of WSJ.
