Hey guys, I've been experiencing the problem of low volume Youtube videos for the past hour. At first I thought it was my entire computer but now I can see that it is really just Youtube. I have the YT sound set on highest volume but I can barely hear anything that people in the videos are saying. Googling also didn't really help much. Any idea how volume on a specific app can suddenly get that much lower? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Help, Youtube audio volume too low

Okay, since you didn't mention, I am taking the statistically likely guess that you are using Windows 10. You can try looking at your volume mixer (right click the volume icon on your system tray and open volume mixer) and see if one of the sliders is low. You mentioned app, are you using youtube app? Or are you using a browser? In any case, did you try a different browser, or if you are using the app, any browser? You can also try enhancer for youtube extension (available for firefox, chrome, and edge) that has a built in volume booster functionality. That's all I can think of right now. Let me know how it goes.

Thank you very much. It turns out it was the browser all along. Managed to fix it thanks to your input. Much appreciated.^^

Oh my goodness, I have the SAME EXACT problem and it is driving me nuts. I’ve toyed with every setting possible on YouTube, my iPhone, and my google profile. The sound is back to normal when I log out of the app. It also sounds normal when playing YouTube through the web browser. I reported it to YouTube but I feel like there needs to be millions of the same issue for them to take action.

Helpful information. Clearing the browser cache once helped me in a similar situation. The bug got out after updating the browser version, something apparently hung.

Usually clearing the cache is the first step when you have a problem with your browser!
