I actually liked this. Very OPM motivations lol.. And the designs are really interesting. Looking forward to seeing the next chapters.

I think there is an overabudnance of main characters with meta motivations recently, but the rest of the chapter was alright. Hell's Paradise was very decent from what i have read so far (7 volumes) and I've seen this author is good at putting ut decent fights and stunning artwork in it - already makes him more promising as a longrunner than a lot of recently axed titles. Yakuza setting is also somethign I enjoy so this could be a winning combination.
-
Bringing up Jotaro as a protagonist that trained to be strong is the main thing that bothered me lol
Good enough first chapter. As almost always in WSJ, how quick the author will introduce more cast members and how interesting they are will be keys for the manga's success.

i liked it but i felt like the girl could have benefited from more screentime. Don't really like the protag for now but we'll see.
Kabukicho and Yakuza is something that I have a soft spot for since the Yakuza games and I'll love to see it being expanded here. Sick monster design from Hell's Paradise that was a pretty good read is great too. -
The pacing and comedy timing were weird, but I have a lot of good faith in Kaku after reading Hell's Paradise.

Keep getting interesting.

Ah nice they focused more on the girl this chapter. Still don't like the OPM style of the MC but we'll see, maybe I just miss the ninja moves from Jigoku and kept subconsciously comparing them.

I loved this chapter! It's so awesome to have an mc who is battle obsessed. I really like those kinds of characters. His backstory is also very understandable, made me feel bad for him. I wish him all the best with his Ayashimon Ritual Duels!!

A good start, I'm interested in seeing where this is going. The comedy/fight mix isn't too bad also, that's a plus for me.
-
I'm really liking the designs so far I gotta say, the story on the other hand isn't really working for me yet. The MC's fighting style is pretty lame, OPM-esque plain strength seems really overused to me. Just like meta concepts and/or motivations are. I can see a lot of potential in world building and character interactions, though, so I will keep reading for now.

This is still decent, still feels like it has a lot of promise. Guess I'm just bumping the thread :)
-
Yep, still decent and reading it every week. Hope it doesn't get canned.
