The Penguin is awesome and the Balloon Man story was interesting as well. I guess this is what gave Bruce the Batman idea in this universe.

Enjoyed the flash. Arrow been good, but it's not what I want from a comic book show. Looking forward to next week.

@Rogues':
You really get the feeling of being immersed in the lives of Gotham citizens, seeing the crime and blatant corruption that they have to deal with on a daily basis, and not just like you're watching an extended episode of Chicago P.D. or Blue Bloods ft. The Joker & Batman. In the Nolan films (sans Begins), I never felt that all these characters were in Gotham, but like they were simply picked up and transplanted into modern-day Chicago or Manhattan. In other words, the Nolan characters may have felt vibrant and alive, but not Gotham itself. The Nolan Gotham was just incredibly dull and boring.
Once they took out Carmine Falcone they lost it.

With this series, Every time the camera cuts to a pan of the cityscape, it's a real treat. I'd say it's the best live-action Gotham representation, in my opinion.
I think Batman Begins had that gritty, dark, corrupt Gotham you like. I don't know why there wasn't some of that in Dark Knight, but I understand why in Dark Knight Rises. In Rises the war was supposed to be over, the corrupt mob was gone and Gotham had been brought into the light.
As for the episode….was I the only one hoping to see Bruce motivated by The Grey Ghost instead of....Balloon Man?
-
A very good 3rd episode. Very good. Also good they added a few humorous bits in there like Harvey gettin his ass kicked by that huge woman, and then KO'ing her at the end when Jim saves his ass. I'm really liking Harvey, Penguin, Bruce & Selina.
Also side note, the future Barbara Gordon, very pleasing on the eyes.

My reaction to the Flash premiere
but in all seriousness
! That was freakin awesome and at the end was one hell of a easter egg. I look forward to watching more

DC actually did something I never thought possible and that's change the game (on the tv side of course). That ending knocked it out the park.
-
And they did it again with Arrow. Holy shit.
-
Wow. That flash ending…...i noticed the little Queen Consolidated/Wayne Tech merger in the future. I really wish they hadn't had that little bit in there, because now it makes me wish even harder for Batman to come into this new little Universe they've made.
On a side note, i hope they upgrade Barry's outfit to something a bit more sexy.....
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
Arrow:
! Loved any scene involving Ray Palmer,he really added some humour to the show, hopefully we'll see plenty of him throughout the season.
! That ending came out of no-where. Sad to see Sara be killed, most prolly by Malcolm. :cwy:
A very good season ahead of us with this Merlyn/League of Assassins story that'll build up. Can't wait to see how it all plays out. -
Best Episode ever!!
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
For Arrow that is.
-
Yeah to me Arrow stole Flash's thunder with that ending. Can't wait till next week where I expect Oliver to be…..not happy.
-
Finally got to watch Flash and Arrow. Fantastic season opener for both shows. Really enjoying how the show tie into each other, hopefully we get to see flash in future episode of Arrow and vise verse.

There is a cross over episode when both hit episode 8 - its gonna be a 2 hour event apparently…
Episode 8 of arrow is called "Brave and the bold" and Episode 8 for the Flash is called "Arrow vs the Flash" i like the sound of that already.
-
Really?! That's awesome to know. Can't believe they are already doing a cross over episode even though the flash is still on it's first season. Here hoping it doesn't disappoint
-
Yeah and in Episode 4, Felicity Smoak is going to be in the 4th episode of the Flash
-
Alright I never watched any of the Arrow, and have wanted to since it started, so in the past few days I binge watched the whole series all the way to season 3 premiere. so…(spoilering for just in case)
! God damn….I have seen a lot of shows on TV some good, some bad, and some ugly but Arrow is definitely one of the top 5 shows on television right now like this show had the gloves off from the beginning it held nothing back from beginning to the current point. Whoever the writers doing this show are they are damn good. Diggle, Felicity, and Helena have been my favorite characters so far.
! There are some things I can't say I expected to happen such as Huntress being a villain or Canary/Sarah dying so this show is definitely good at delivering twists. I think it's safe to say Malcolm will be back as the main villain again and I believe Thea will also return as a villain, in fact, I think Thea is who may have killed Canary.
! And a few side thoughts. the first thing I thought of when the Mirakuru serum was brought up was that this must be the serum Bane uses. And in the Season 3 premiere the modified Vertigo looks so very Scarecrow esq. -

I wasn't ever against Arrow so I wouldn't say I was "converted" I just never got around to watching it until now

Well regardless, now you know. And knowing is half the battle.

Watching the Flash now, Am I the only one who noticed that Barry's father is played by John Wesley Shipp(from the original 90's Flash Series)!
I love it when shows do "Passing the torch" roles.

Nope you aren't the only one.
-
Dang it. Week 2 and I already missed an episode. Netflix has spoiled me.
Oh well looks like there doing reruns after arrow.
-
If flash can keep this momentum going then it will be my favorite super hero show on TV. Seems like Caitlin snows fiance was Ronnie Raymond, which is SO good. Arrow was amazing with easter eggs and it seems like arrow is going to be too.
Stephen Amell seemed excited about the cross over episodes at NYCC so I'm so excited for it. That said I hope there is more cross over in the villains for the shows. Like flash taking on Slade Wilson or Captain cold on Arrow.
-
Hmm, if i can justify reading Illegal manga scanlations every week, i guess might as well be able to morally justify streaming/downloading a show like Gotham which is not broadcasted in my region? seeing im already violating international copyright law several times a week by consuming my weekly manga chapters at various scanlations sites.

Okay so Flash episode 2 is over…
! I wasn't too sure about the Joe West character, but this episode sold me on him. I love the dynamic between Barry and him.
! What I am not digging is Iris. They've known each other for over 10 years and of course she is completely oblivious to Barry's feelings about her while flaunting her new boyfriend in front of Barry at seemingly every opportunity. And of course Eddie is a horse's ass. The writers can really not throw that in our faces every 5 minutes. Now let's add her becoming a reporter overnight who is really interested in The Flash.
! And once again Harrison Wells comes out of left field in the end. I'm beginning to think that isn't his real name.
! Overall really liked the episode but they really need to pull back on the Iris bullcrap. -

I know nothing about Flash at all, so this show is going to be the only source I'll likely ever get about him. So it's nice to pick up on easter eggs like that, even if they aren't as fun when you find out their value afterwards haha. Originally, I thought Dr. Wells played in an old Flash show or something (sort of like Christopher Reeves in Smallville), but only found the actor to have played as JD's older brother in Scrubs haha.
Also, about episode one's ending…! So we're lead to believe Dr. Wells is the yellow flash-type guy who killed Barry's mother. And there were some photos of Professor Zoom on set (apparently Flash's archenemy). So is he professor Zoom, and not Thawne?

about your spoiler theory…
! I heard a good one on a flash after show that Harrison Wells may actually be Hunter Zolomon. Who in the comics turns out to be the 2nd Reverse Flash after Thawne. It's possible but right now its anyone's guess.

! Overall really liked the episode but they really need to pull back on the Iris bullcrap.! I was actually going to say that this episode didn't have a lot of painful romance stuff in it which made me happy. And Eddie doesn't seem so bad to me either. He was even being modest. I'm sure that'll change though and we'll get more of what you (and I) dislike. :/
! On the whole I really enjoy this show because it's just fun and silly. And so far both episodes have ended with great monologues delivered by Grant Gustin that got to me. Plus, wheelchair scientist keeps being interesting. -

Plus, wheelchair scientist keeps being interesting.Oh I'm absolutely nitpicking. Overall I am loving the show but still in this episode:
! You had about three different scenes with Eddie and Iris being lovey dovey in front of Barry, that's a little much for one episode after you had about as many of those scenes in the pilot.
! And another thing about Eddie where he was being praised as a hero for saving Joe and Stagg in the warehouse. Uh no, that was Flash who came in and really saved everyone. He came across in that scene with Barry and Iris as someone who believes his own hype. That kind of arrogance/ignorance really bugs me personally. I will give Eddie's actor all the credit in the world, in 2 episodes with not much screen time, he has got me hating on him with passion. I give many kudos to the man.
! And Harrison Wells, wheelchair scientist….boy you just keep bringing the surprises. I'm really starting to think he is one of the Reverse Flashes. -
I really tried to like Arrow but the main characters monologues about his experience and traumas were carried out so bad that I started hating him. Maybe it gets better later on but the few cupple of episodes of S1 didn't convince me.

Well, it is possible that I zoned out when they did that. :P I'm pretty sure we didn't have to see Barry's pained face when they were doing it though for which I am grateful. He was more like "Just kiss already, you juveniles. I don't have time for this"
-
2nd episode of Flash was excellent and carried off from the last one rather nicely. Had plenty of good lol moments, at least for me. I like that.
-
So after tonight's Arrow:
! Who killed Sara?
-
So after tonight's Arrow:

! I'm guessing it's going to be someone from the league of assassins, as she seemed to recognise them

@Mr0:
! I'm guessing it's going to be someone from the league of assassins, as she seemed to recognise them
! Unless it was Ra's Al Ghul himself I don't think so, she was accepted beck into the league. It's definitely someone Sara knew, so its gotta be someone we know already or a really big bad guy like Ra's. If it was just some D-grade villain like Komodo, then I think it really lessens the impact of the death and quite frankly makes it a waste. These writers aren't dumb, so it has gotta lead to something big.
! My guess as crazy and insane sounding as it is…..Tommy. Someway, somehow I think he is coming back and it will be the biggest gut punch to Oliver. -

Yeah I mean of course you're right, but my crazy prediction is that it was Ra's al Ghul himself, that way Oliver will have some serious beef with him when they meet
Oh and yeah I really don't think Tommy's coming back, unless it's for flashbacks… But I'm always wrong about this kind of thing so you never know haha -
As long as she stays that way :)
-
! I'm still going with Malcolm Merlyn….
! Also, that ending.....kinda worrying for what Thea will become if she carries on the way she is now.
! Hopefully we'll see Laurel take on the mantle of the Black Canary and carry on Sara's legacy..... Can't wait to see that happen -
So yeah, I was pleasantly surprised with the opening episode of Gotham, especially the creepy young lad playing Oswald Cobblepot.

So yeah, I was pleasantly surprised with the opening episode of Gotham, especially the creepy young lad playing Oswald Cobblepot.
Just keep him away from any meat lockers and he'll be fine.
(Let's see how many people get that).

Gotham airing in the U.K frist episode today. They picked it up pretty fast. Also, glad they've picked the show up for a full 22 episode run. I'm guessing it may do a bit better once the Big bang theory moves back to its usual spot on Thursday whenever that will be…
-
So Flash episode 3…another good episode and
! another flaunting of Iris and Eddie in Barry's face. Hell they kicked off the episode with it. And once again more Harrison Wells secrets…looks like he intentionally caused the accident
And next week has the makings of excellence. Felicity and Captain Cold!
-
So the Flash picked up for a full 22 episode run as well now. Cool.
-
Morena Baccarin is joining Gotham.
Now I really hope the show can figure out what it wants to be.
-
So my Arrow thoughts, pretty straight forward:
! I was wondering when Nyssa was going to show up.
-
Another good episode
! So Laural takes her first step to becoming the black canary, getting trained by Ted Grant was it? He's a lot younger than i expected…..
! Next weeks episode looks epic...Malcolm Merlyn, the league of Assassins......it doesn't get any better than that -
Static Shock digital series in the works.
Some of you might want to get your pitchforks and torches ready
