This is great! Imo, because the Tobi Roppo were dropped here, im doubting a Beasts Pirates cover yet, unless Oda decides to separate the F6 from the Numbers, Calamities , which I can see.

Agreed. Still thinking like ~10 more chapters possibly for Act 3, then Act 4 may just be pure battles for 30 or 40 chapters. Im in the mindset that most of the final battles will take place on Mainland Wano and the sheer fact that Oda has so much to cover, not just with people at Onigashima, sort of points to that.

That applies to everyone in the Beast Pirates, not just the Tobi Roppo. There's no loyalty in the crew, it's all held together exclusively by Kaido's power. Of course there's some variation, but that also applies to the Tobi Roppo. Ulti for example seems to really like Kaido.
But anyways, even Robin was in the Baroque works cover.

Oda really struggled with this one, but of all the possible outcomes in that video I think he went with the best (even though the original with the TR at front would have pleased my needs to see all their colors). I reeeeally like this cover, and that's coming from someone who rolls his eyes at the first sight of the LKL trio.
Human-skin Sasaki is something I wasn't expecting though. Neither flamboyant red Who's Who, but I approve it 100%.

Here's my prediction/fanart cover, going on the assumption that "Fighting Music" will be the title.
One Piece logo goes behind Apoo's hands but in front of Onigashima, making it look like the horns are coming out the sides. It'll probably need to be transparent like it was in volumes 70, 83, 88 and a few others for a good look.
Might eventually scan this so I can add the logo properly myself and fix up some of the bits that pain me like Luffy's janky face and Law's tiny head, but for now I think it gets the key ideas of the cover across.

Same, but it looks like Oda hasn't done the skin tone adjustments he normally does on volumes anyway.
I think Fisham skin would go more in coloring than skin tone adjustments. If Oda wasn't sure about Sasaki's skin color we probably would have seen it in the process like with his hair or Ulti's. Unless he just colors all humanoid the same in sketches, but that would be pretty weird (specially since) he's trying to figure out the rest of their coloring).

Honestly, I'm not a big fan of this cover. I would rather have Captain M's version of it depicting essentially the exact same characters (plus Apoo)!! The funny thing is that he started with having the Luffy-Kid-Law trio in squares with the Tobiroppo in front, essentially reversing the cover.
I guess he wanted to emphasize the trio dynamic instead. I personally like how their captain coats contrast to each other with red, blue and black.
Also, it seems Oda will never set on Law's hair color.

Apoo being on the cover would have insinuated some association with the F6. I am curious as to what he is though in terms of ranking. I'd assume just a headliner like Hawkins, but the guy reeled Hawkins and Kid in and tricked them. I don't believe he is a Number either.
What's interesting is Oda didn't even give Apoo an introduction card like has for Hawkins and Drake, so we have no idea where he even falls in he BP hierarchy. Leads me to think Oda has something big planned with Apoo.

I dont think he ever has tbh. What you are seeing in the video is him sketching for placement and ideas. See the part where the drawings go from rough to automatically in Oda's style and finished looking? Thats when he goes back to Analog and scans the image. Then he uses digital again to test out colors, but once that is done then he colors again analog.

I definitely overestimated Apoo a little but hey, happy and surprised to have hit so close with the rest! It's a shame Oda couldn't have kept Onigashima behind the title, but I guess with what he ended up going with down below it would have got way too busy.

Honestly, other than Who's Who, the Tobi Roppo's colors are surprisingly low-key considering what we've been getting in Wano.
On the cover we can only see their heads and not their outfits. So I would rather wait for their full color scheme before I make a statement. But I must admit, I really like Who's Who red outfit and pink hair. I didn't like it, when the unfinished cover was posted, but now it looks so cool.

Black Maria horns are real but different from the ones that characterize Ulti and Page One (their covered mouths suggest to me that they shall be hybrid human/fishmen like Dellinger)… Maybe a new race?

Okay, this final version actually looks pretty nice. I can't not love Luffy in this cover. His pose is just damn great, coupled with his Buso-covered hand ready to strike plus a black captain's coat! How far our boy has come, he's truly starting to feel like a pirate emperor of the seas! And for once I think Oda nailed the colours of a group of characters (for the Tobi Roppo).

Well we saw back in volume 90 and 92. Oda chose to name them "Sacred Marijoa" and "Introducing Komurasaki the Oiran" (she didn't even have much presence in the volume) when comparatively there were more suitable options.

Sacred Marijoa isn't bad considering the whole volume is set there, but Oiran Komurasaki was definitely an odd pick. I know there's been other weird ones through the years as well. My Bible certainly isn't the first strange volume name and it probably won't be the last. You have to wonder what the thought process for these things is.

it's too much imoBecause he is obsessed with color and often talks about how colorful he's wanted to make Wano. This isn't even surprising, look at Doflamingo's crew and how ridiculous they looked, or the BMP's. Can't wait to see the Number's color schemes, its going to be ridiculous lol.

it's too much imoThe 4 emperor's crews are the most well rounded we've seen thus far and I imagine part of it is fun for Oda, and the other is making them more similar to Luffy's crew. The single members have higher ambition than say, most of the members of the Heart Pirates or the Foxy Pirates, and it's reflected in their individuality. With Kaido, he's broken their will and maybe the horns are a testament to that?

i know hair color is important in anime and manga and helps identify chars, what i don't like is how ALL crew/group in the last years had this variety of colors.
just a bit too much, considering how oda has kept on adding dozens of chars every saga -
What do you mean 'ALL groups' and the 'last few years'.
For example the Grand Fleet all have natural hair colors except Bartolomeo. Over half of the most prominent minks are blondes. You don't even have to get out of the Beast Pirates. Both Jack and Queen are blonde.
