Please. Oh God Please if there is a N64 Mini let it come with Perfect Dark 64.
And preferably a less ridiculous controller.

I think Microsoft might have a few issues with that.
You know what it cannot NOT be in.
Why put N64 games on the Switch when you can just make people buy a completely unnecessary extra device that is nowhere near as convenient? Way to go, Nintendo!
Again, I'm left with no reason to get one of these. I still have my original N64. And if I can't have the games on my Switch, I'd rather just purchase them on my Wii U, which is hooked up to my TV. I have no more space for anymore consoles on my TV.
Oh boy I can't wait until the Wii mini comes out
@Purple:

Already happened :ninja:
Considering N64 emulation still surprisingly sucks, this is one I could see myself thinking about depending on the selection. Which will probably not be what I want, but hey.
Already happened :ninja:
That's the joke yes
I do wonder about the rumors of Microsoft and Nintendo working together. Even though there will still be plenty of games available, it seems silly to release the N64 mini without Rare.
I already own most of the N64 titles. But depending on the lineup I'd buy this for convienience.
But it NEEDS Rare.
Ultimately I'd want: Mario 64, Zelda OOT, Majora's Mask, Mario Kart 64, Yoshi's Story, Kirby 64, Super Smash Bros, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Party (any), Mystical Ninja, Rogue Squadron, DK64, Banjo, Tooie, Perfect Dark, Blast Corps, Goldeneye, F-Zero, Excitebike/Waverace.
Removing Rare means there's so much more filler titles to be added, maybe I'd add something like Micro Machines.
The thing is that a n64 mini would need the four controllers for full nostalgia blast power.
But it NEEDS Rare.
Yeah as expensive Conker's Bad Fur Day is I'm hella desperate to get my hands on it someone even if I have to put up with the N64's notorious motion sickness inducing problems.
And preferably a less ridiculous controller.
Glad I'm not the only one expecting this.
I apologize for all the monocles I just broke when You all gasped in surprise.
When we getting our Gameboy minis tho:ninja:
@Purple:

Wait til you see the GameCube mini so much smaller than the original it can't play discs, and Nintendo won't be teaming up with Panasonic again this time to cover the gap.
Maybe they'll finally release one or two of the planned American N64DD launch titles.SimCity 64 looks awesome.

Hey Nitwit, do you mind not posting whatever garbage you happen to stumble on? Most of these things you post have no really substantial basis on them and are just grating to see getting posted.

Hmm? I see. Well, I wasn't posting them outta malicious nature. But I'll stop since some of them are not fit for the forum and most are just people complaining about the silly things on earth.
I'll just post Nintendo related news when I find a Nintendo related news to post.

Sad to say I doubt conker is going to be on there. I think Nintendo would want to keep this thing Family friendly, so you're probably not getting any M-Rated games.
And preferably a less ridiculous controller.
Glad I'm not the only one expecting this.
You really shouldn't be…
The previous two reproduced the original controllers perfectly. This is partially a nostalgia trip so they are trying to be retro.
I hope they do slightly alter the design. The sticks on the original controllers are garbage and break super easy. They need to swap those out for some sturdier ones.
Honestly, these things use Wii classic controller ports so a Classic Controller Pro is probably your best bet. I have three, one that's normal and two that are shaped like Gamecube controllers except with modern shoulder buttons. They all feel nice and control well.
I'd say pick up one of those but they appear to have skyrocketed in price if you get them new… not too bad used at least…
Maybe this is a good chance for Nintendo to reissue them?

I don't think this was entirely serious, but it did get me thinking.
I doubt a Gamecube Mini is going to happen. GC games look good enough that they can be remastered and ported easily to Switch. I can't see Nintendo giving that up.

Oh I pretty much have set my expectations low much less because of that in spite of how tackilly outdated the reasoning would be. And more so I just don't see it happening, if I anything I do expect at the very least for them to have stuff like Donkey Kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing weak as both those games are.
The previous two reproduced the original controllers perfectly
Well to be fair neither the NES or Super Nes had weirdly designed controllers to start with so redesigns wouldn't have made sense in either case.
Honestly, these things use Wii classic controller ports so a Classic Controller Pro is probably your best bet.
If this does happen and it like the SNES and NES classic controllers lack a home button that's probably what I would do as a consequence even if the replicated N64 controller had built in rumble which would give it instant advantage over the classic or gen 1 & gen 2 classic controllers.

Why not we gotta give them money one way or the other.
I wonder, why when they put generic Mario enemies into the spinoffs they don't just do a little extra and turn them into named characters like what was done to the paper Mario partners.
Like keep giving them names and professions and have them show up in the background for easter eggs, or put them in all in a latter game for a surprise.
Like if I ever play Mario Tennis I'm going to assume that chain chomp is Bow Wow lil brother from Link's awakening.
Fun watch
I still remember seeing a comic about that.

Anyone pick up Disgaea 5 for switch? I'm thinking about picking it up and curious what others thought.
I have not played it on other systems.

That's amazing lol
Any bets on the boss-weakness-order for MM11? Only names so far are Block Man and Fuse Man.

Rumored list of Switch titles
I'm super interested in how DBFZ will play on Switch.
That's a boring-ass list so it might be real.
Was gonna say, it's so mundane that it must be true, even if it's fake
DBZF and Fortnite? So two heavily online games with a shitty paid online in the horizon? I wonder if that was a push from Nintendo's publisher outreach to have more titles to get people to pay for online

Where the heck are Star Fox, Paper Mario, Jet Force and Mischief Makers.

Abandoned because I honestly forgot about them. But yeah the former two would be in for sure.

Oh wow, I am glad I'm not the only one who loves Mischief Makers.
Shake Shake
I got it totally by chance for Christmas 98' (I think 98). It was that kind of crappy but well meaning gift you get from an uncle or aunt, the sort where you usually end up with some sort of weird off brand thing that "looked like something you'd like!".
Like this was the day and age of Ocarina of Time and Banjo Kazooie. I had never expressed interest in anything like whatever this green haired robot japan thing.
And hey, turns out it was by total accident actually a cool as hell gift!
Welp, Fortninte was confirmed. Does this means the entire E3 coverage also got leaked?
Mario Tennis Aces Online Tournament has started in Europe. Still getting used to the controls, but its pretty fun so far.

You don't need Rare to avoid filler titles.
First party candidates:
Super Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
Yoshi's Story
Ocarina of Time
Majora's Mask
1080 Snowboarding
Wave Race 64
Pokemon Snap
Pokemon Puzzle League
Animal Crossing (Japan only)
Star Fox 64
Super Smash Brothers 64
Paper Mario
Mario Party 2/3
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Excitebike 64
F-Zero X
Pilotwings 64
Sin and Punishment
Donkey Kong 64 (would need to remove jetpac or get rare approval which was already done for the VC release)
Note here they could equal the SNES Classic tally with first party IP alone.
Third party candidates:
Hybrid Heaven
Mischief Makers (this may technically be first party as Nintendo published, not sure if they or Treasure ultimately own the rights)
Ogre Battle 64
Tetrisphere
Body Harvest
Snowboard Kids
Snowboard Kids 2
Turok
Turok 2
Harvest Moon 64
Fighters Destiny
WWF 2000 / WWF No Mercy
WCW vs. nWo: World Tour / WCW/nWo Revenge
Doom 64
Quake II
Mega Man 64
ISS 64/98/2000
Goemon's Great Adventure
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon
Star Wars Episode I: Racer
Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
A couple there that I'm not that impressed by but are pretty popular and no doubt nostalgia fuel, but the majority are great games. Now they should absolutely do a deal with MS for Rare games as they were so deeply linked with the N64 era (and whoever has the Bond license). It'd be a downer if it came out without Goldeneye, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo Kazooie and Jet Force Gemini, but they could easily have a quality lineup without them.
Good to see that Nintendo is putting more effort into getting third party titles
Fighter's Destiny 1 and 2 were very underrated. It was a fighting game more like full-contact karate in how to win then your usual style.

I would go nuts for Tetrisphere!
Hybrid Heaven was a weird as heck game.
Hybrid Heaven was a weird as heck game.
I learnt the Sharpshooter by having it applied to my character by a giant anthropomorphic horse.
Its too bad virtual console is probably dead and the Wii channel died out..theres not much on the wiiU version of the VC system and some of the games are not on the WiiU

You forgot Gex: Enter the Gecko (although you can get that on PS3). If any Rare games are desired but unavailable, Rare Replay for XB1 is an option. It even has the original Conker’s Bad Fur Day. It was irritating how the lineup of N64 games on the original Wii shop channel were not all available on Wii U also. Now they pissed away the chance to remedy that with no VC on Switch? It’s the most ulcer-inducing love-hate relationship I have with Nintendo.
That's pretty neat.
Makes sense considering Smash is about to happen.
Note that they're licensed controllers by PowerA, so while they have the brand on them, they ain't first party. Might just be pro controller in the formfactor of a GC controller
That's exactly what it's going to be and honestly, as long as they're well put together and feel right, I might REALLY love this.
I love the way the GC controller feels, and the GC Controller adapter working on the Switch is super cool, but it's missing a ZL button, so it's not 100% compatible with most games.
being able to have a Smash Gamecube controller that is also usable in games that aren't Smash would be amazing.
… Assuming they don't screw the pooch on its design. If it doesn't feel right or doesn't respond right then to hell with it.
