The first prince obviously knows imo. Tserriednich literally threatened him on phone. As for the others, I guess they just don't (although even Mizaistom knew he was a crazy person but I guess the hunter association intelligence is just good).
I'm reminding a few plot lines. Tseeriednich is Benjamin's little brother. Camilla and Zhang Lei might be his elders but they're from the second and third Queen, which means that Benjamin and Tserriednich only have their own bodyguards (according to the logic behind this page). I mean that they aren't being spied by other bodyguards or what.
Yeah Benj and Bateman are the only princes with a bodyguard squad untainted, might be a coincidence or maybe not but the one massaging Tyson's back might be Bateman's facilitator.

And in fact, because of that, we have to be patient now and reconsider our plans. The hunters’ primary mission is in the Dark Continent. Nope, he pretty clearly takes year long breaks and then works for a couple weeks and starts half assing it. and that's what burns him out.
It's why we give him so much shit about the breaks, but the Berserk author gets a pass. You can tell Muira works on the art for his chapters for 6 weeks and it takes two days per page and just takes the time time it takes, while Togashi is just lazy and will reward us with storyboards on week two..

Anyway, it seems people have some solid reasons to believe so, but yeah there are those little things he wrote about how much of a pain his back was ( and still is I guess). Some might think it was "pretty much" a lie. As for me, I am not really sure, it might be both.

Maybe. But his overall work history, comments, and other sources indicate it's mostly laziness.
If it's legit medical problems, then just be professional and say
"I am going to produce X chapters this go around" and work on those through the year and have those released in a chunk. Know in advance how much we're getting and when the stopping point will be.

Togashi is a Genius that's the "problem". But I don't think he takes pleasure from the hiatuses, Japanese are hardworking people and a manga series is definitely a tough work to accomplish. With serious physical problems a hard job becomes hell and we should feel lucky to have the possibility to still read this masterpiece when he could have ended it time ago…

I honestly don't think Hunter x Hunter would be half as good as it is without all the hiatuses. No other SJ writer in the history of the magazine has had this much time to fully think out their ideas to the level he has.
He doesn't need as many as he takes I don't think but I'll always consider them more of a blessing than anything when we get York New's, Chimera Ant arcs, and now the dark continent.
I do genuinely enjoy Hunter x Hunter despite it numerous flaws….

Most author don't take 1~2 years break to planned their story and pump out 10 chapters before disappearing.

I think the MAIN problem is not have the author work at his pace, the problem is work at "weird" pace because no apparent reasoning or justification, I he gave an statement saying he doesn't feel like pouring more than tow volumes an year I think most people would actually be glad.

Not exactly scribbles, but the art is very rough and unpolished, with sketchy lines everywhere, and inconsistent page by page.

Togashi couldn't be arsed to draw Ben's face. He literally just put a mouth there.
Not to mention that the character art (mostly done by Togashi) clashes horribly with the admittedly smooth background art (which tend to be made by assistants).
